Oh old faithful. I know you were so good to me, but the Cloud just has such sweet juicy big T...aste. Hahaha. I might still have to get one of these eventually. Good customer support and this things are like footballs - and unbeatable density of vapor cloud. I am genuinely excited to see how it performs!

If you find flavor with HA + full sized glassware suffers versus Cloud + HT, I highly recommend trying HA with a smaller water piece for a more fair comparison: a short, direct vapor path like HA + GonG & PWT performs much more similarly to Cloud + HT; nearly direct draw level flavor without sacrificing water filtration. <3 Herbalaire. Pure flavor at a low price and no need to ever grind or stir for full extraction.

Well, it is digital -- though not an advantage for me I think it is noticeable. Only real advantage that I see is in the crucible/mouthpiece area. The snap-on crucible/mouthpiece design is nice, and will make re-loading quite easy, and it looks like the stock mouthpiece will fit a water tool better than the old stock. My H2.2 is going strong or else I'd be really interested....just in seeing an actual new product from HerbalAire in (what?) 10 years.

hi looking for some advice on the elite if theres any owners out there?

I have an h2.2 and lsv atm. and find my self using the h2.2 more.

im thinking of selling both to get the elite. the improvement over the h2.2 seems worth it.

just waondered if anyone has made the switch from h2.2 to elite? was it worth it?
is the elite a one mains plug machine now rather than 2with the h2.2?
and ive seen a vid on u tube showing someone inflating bags and when its full he pulls the inflated bag off the herbalaire and makes a point of squeezing the bag and vapor doesnt escape. is this an included feature with the elite?

any thoughts on the elite would be appreciated thanks

ive emailed herbalaire and vape fiend about the questions i posted on here.

and the elite is a one plug machine (pump gets its power from the main unit)
vapefiend told me that apparently new H2.2's are one plug now too? mine was bought beginning of the year 2014 and still has two plugs (one for unit one for pump) i didn't ask this of herbalaire directly.

i also wanted to know if the air flow on the elite pump was controllable turns out its not, you can set timers so the pump will stop before bag goes pop that's it. if you have the single and 3 bag adapter the stock elite pump is OK but if you have the 5 bag adapter you have to have the upgraded pump or your be waiting all day.

and when it comes to valves on the bag system, still no valve on the bags. they've changed it slightly on the elite for an easier bag creation.
what i don't understand is the vid i saw on you tube which shows the guy squeezing the bags after inflating them, and herbalare them selves uploaded the vid i believe but the reply from their email customer service says no valve.
they did say not to over inflate and the bag wont leak vapor and if it does only 1% vapor is lost?
every time i pull an inflated bag off the H2.2 it pisses out vapor.

@RUDE BOY i agree, seems to be more info and reviews (which is still very little) about the H2.2 than their flagship model the elite.

Nice infos, I didn't realize the Elite is a one plug machine...., maybe I could use bags a bit more cause I don't use bags with my HA2.2 cause the need to take the pump, plug it and connect it to the main unit, there is too much things on my desktop to do that!

Do you think they offer a upgrading program for HA2.2 owners....maybe I jump on it if they offer a nice discount....

the fact the elite is a one plug machine is appealing. means you have one cable from pump to unit and one air tube from pump to unit.

ive started using a mflb whip for my H2.2 when in whip mode and the hose material is much better. But ive also started using it for the air flow tube from pump to unit as its softer means its easier to get it all seated in a better position on the table.

unsure about upgrading programme but contact herbalaire via their website I got a reply v quickly.

im buying the elite this week I think.

Shouldn't the flexible fingers end up INSIDE once done with this installation?

unsure if anyone following the thread and interested but elite arrived and first impressions is great.

digi read out is easy and clear and kinda cool seeing the temp go up in numbers with the lights aswell.
the light on the front is now a leaf instead of a led that changes colour.

the pump is good with only one plug but same power and sound as the h2.2 pump. I would of thought it would of been nice to somehow incorporate the power lead from the pump to the unit with the air tube in side or fixed to it some how.
but no biggy.
programing the timer on the pump is a good feature and with the standard bags one bag takes about 1min 20 - 1min 30secs.

the new bags system is simple and effective much better than the screw clamps on the h2.2.

I got the 3 bag adaptor and all three bags inflated in under 5mins. atm it seems the top bag get the best milkier vapor and the side bags are slightly thinner.
thinking of ways round that already. like more herb haha or finger over the top bag fitment while the other two side bags fill then about half way through putting the top one on.

new crucible system a lot better no more burnt fingers or dumping red hot crucibles on the kitchen table.

they still use that rubbish hard stiff tubing for the pump tube and whip.
im using a mflb whip atm which is much better and planning to get another length of the same tube for the air flow from the pump.

used it once with my bubbler. not a great result yet. fitment fine with a d -020 18mm connection but not clouds of vapor.
ive seen a guy on u tube using the same bubb with a h2.2 and getting clouds so need to work on that.

so all in all im happy with the switch is it worth it I think so. they should ship the h2.2 with some of the features from the elite. like the volc classic and digi.

I love these herbalaires I think they definately need to address the quality of the tubing on both machines as a first and must.

I still maintain and mates of mine do that the herbies get the most vaked out of all the vapes we've tried

Salutations PlainLazy,

...Elite arrived...

Oh, i thought you had the v2.2 in mind. So you're enjoying digital vaping hey?!

I'll bet the readers will appreciate some good news!

...it would of been nice to somehow incorporate the power lead from the pump to the unit with the air tube inside or fixed to it somehow.

Bad idea! When it was brand new my PVC tube had a taste which prompted me to explore this configuration below, where the pump circuit is totally isolated outside of the cannabic path to be exact:

This may sound far stretched but i've appreciated the option a lot actually, until plastic smell was replaced by that of cannabic resin after a while...

...like the volc...

Now that you mention it i vaguely recall the Volcano does have tubing inside, i think.

Anyway i wish you a good day, have fun!

:peace:

@biohacker - I'm taking my time with this one. I had a great bag session last night...this thing produces really nice, milky bags! I've also used it on a bubbler and with a VXL dry tube. All good times with good effects. With a vape this versatile it can take some time to get to know it well enough to speak to it.

But the real reason I am going slow on it is because of how different it is. It's a vape that doesn't require a grind and tops out at 400F. Think about that for a minute, because I've been thinking about it for a while. It goes against what a lot of us think is ideal, but could we be wrong? @nicelytoasted has used the HA more than anyone I know and is also an air flow scientist. The guy knows his shit and makes a really good argument for this being a better way to vape.

At this point all I feel comfortable saying is that something is going on here that is worth really looking into. The hits I am getting at high temp on this unit with unground nugs are very smooth and comforting. I am convinced that not grinding gives tastier, stronger bud, but I didn't think it would contribute to the smoothness of the hits as well.

This thing can be used a multitude of ways, btw, including grinding, not grinding, bag or whip. And the mouthpiece is a TonG that fits 14mm and 18mm glass. If I come around to the HA way of thinking, I will start doing the Pepsi Challenge with this vape and others set at the same temps using unground nugs to see how transferable the concept is.

This kinda seems like a poor man's Herbalizer? The silence is deafening..

I would definitely call it that, especially the non-Elite version (no digital temp control, but very poor man's!). And also using ceramic discs, conduction/convection ratios can be played around with (HA uses both). When I use my HA with the herb sitting 3 discs high, I jokingly call it Herbalizer mode. When I use it with the herb sitting 6 discs high, I call it the Minivap mode :) (of course i haven't used either, i just call it that for fun from what i've read in threads.).

Oh but it does also do unique things like vape whole buds, need no stir ever, and produce very completely/very evenly extracted bud (HA AVB is unique imo).
