Great Scott!
Hi everyone,

I have to share this info with you in case it helps anyone out there. Dixie Botanicals is now selling CBD tinctures that are legal in all 50 states. They contain no THC and are made from hemp.

I have the 100mg bottle at home now and I'm trying it out for my chronic pain (possibly fibromyalgia) and my general anxiety. Its too early to tell how helpful it is because the pain is SO intense I can't really decide how helpful it is quite yet. I'm focusing a lot more on my pain lately.

Anyway I hope this info is useful to some of you. I'd love to hear what other people think of the stuff.

$160 for the two ounce bottle seems a bit absurd. And I don't understand why the two ounce bottle is 2.5 times more concentrated than the 1 ounce yet they have the same serving size. I would love something like this to help my gf with her constant pain caused by pcos, it sucks living in a prohibitionist state.

I'm interested to hear opinions on its effectiveness, especially for pain. Anything is better than the dangerous drugs the doctors give her that only seem to give her worse side effects.

The 1 oz bottle (that I have now) is 100mg. The 2 oz bottle contains 500mg of CBD. So 2.5x more per volume.

I will say this yesterday I felt like my head was being ripped in half and 2 dropperfulls of the 1 oz bottle I have really cut it down to manageable pain damn near instantly. I don't know if I'll EVER be "pain free" but that was a great help yesterday.

Maybe I need to start trying out stronger doses to see if I can have all day pain relief or something.

There is also "canchew" gum that has ~10mg of CBD per piece. Also very expensive.

I'm at the point where expensive is fine if it allows me to live a normal life. I'm hoping someone with a bit more cash tries the gum and the dixie tincture to compare them. I'm hesitant to invest in the gum until I finish the tincture while trying to find a dose that is worth it for me.

Dixie products have been awesome for my pain and anxiety. I do yoga and jujitsu and my body takes a real beating. The hemp oil salvation balm helps a ton with muscle and joint aches. The balm has even saved my ass after suffering a few burns cooking and it brought the pain down immediately.

I'm currently on my second bottle of the 500mg tincture and have narrowed down a dosage that works best for my needs (3 - 4.5mg). The prices could certainly be cheaper but the relief I get from my anxiety alone is worth the cost. CBD is a great alternative to benzo's for anxiety, I had one experience with Xanax that swore me off chemicals to treat anxiety forever.

YMMV but if you are looking for a natural alternative for pain and anxiety relief give CBD a shot. From high CBD strains to CBD tinctures, I'm a huge believer of the CBD hype. Time for a session with some Cannatonic and the VXC. :D

How long does the 500mg tincture last you?

How long would 1 of the 1oz 100mg bottles last?

I find relief but it seems to be short lived for the amount I'm using. Anxiety seems better, but the pain is REALLY hard to treat. How long do the pain killing effects last for you?

I think the 10mg gum is probably a better option price wise don't you think? Wanna try it out with me :)

Lets get a bunch of users here to try to find the best method. I hope this means the start of MANY more CBD products.

any other side effects like sleepiness or other things I would expect from bud? is it like taking a high temp hit off a load that was low temp vaped earlier?

From the doses I've used I've felt literally no side effects. In fact I tend to think its not working and a waste of money, and then I examine my pain level and feel that its far less than before the tincture dose. Either it is the strongest placebo ever, or I need to find out how to make it work and last longer for me.

The 500mg tincture lasts me at least a month with this bottle being closer to two months with a bit left on the bottom. Some days I only need to dose once to get relief. The 100mg bottle only lasted me a few weeks as I needed sometimes 2-3 full droppers to get the desired effect. A full dropper for me with the 500mg tincture and I'm above and beyond where I need to be. :D

My stomach pain varies depending on my diet and some days I will dose in the morning and have pain relief well into the afternoon (depending on how much I vaporized that day). I would say on average each dose gets me 4-6 hours of relief. Price wise I think the tincture may get you more bang your buck. At $125 for 32 pieces of 10mg CBD gum, your looking at 320mg total CBD. With the tincture your paying $160 for 500mg. This equates to 2.56mg per dollar for the gum and 3.125mg per dollar for the tincture. I am going to be buying the gum though to compare its effectiveness to the tincture. I'd much rather carry gum with me instead of a glass bottle with a dropper to medicate on the go though!

I had my first dose at night and it was very relaxing and I slept like a baby. It won't get you as sleepy as a good indica but its very calming in higher doses.

Here's a link for the tinctures. http://dixiebotanicals.com/products/dew-drops-hemp-oil-supplement/

Its actually a tincture so no need to vaporize, just use the dropper and squeeze under the tongue! I would absolutely recommend it for your wife. It always relaxes me and I'm an extremely anxious person at times.

Yeah I really think for anxiety this helps. I'm SUPER anxious about my newly diagnosed fibro, so I'm way more on edge than normal and this is helping me avoid benzos.

I really wish I tried the stronger bottle, because I have no cash to spare for now.

I'd LOVE your review of the gum though. I think 10mg at once would pretty much have to be more effective right? Definitely higher ease of use.

Thanks for doing the math for me :science:

Glad to hear its keeping the anxiety at bay, being in pain and on edge is a viscous cycle with each symptom intensifying each other. I'm going to be placing an order for the gum here soon, a piece a day should definitely do the trick.

Yep Vicki it really works and it is all legal! With these new CBD products entering the industry I'm really excited for the future of cheaper and more readily available CBD. I can't wait until someone releases a powder form, it would be terrific for a nutrition shake with veggies and fruit.

I can't believe the federal government hasn't jumped all over this. Not to say that they won't some time in the future.

I may order a small bottle next payday since it's only $40.00. Just to see if it's any good for my body pain. :)

Right now. If they get wind of it, I can see them restricting it somehow. Especially if it has physical effects.

I highly doubt it. You could drink 20 of these bottles and still not get "high" which is after all the only thing they want to stop at all costs.

I'd suggest the larger bottle honestly. I think the 2.5x dose is probably better off. I'm sitting here semi-rationing my bottle. I seem to be really ripping through my small bottle. I just don't think the dosage is high enough for MY pain.

I have a lot of pain too, but the bigger bottle costs so much. I was hoping to try the smaller bottle to see if it even works for my pain, without spending a small fortune. I don't want to be stuck with a lot of leftover medicine if it doesn't work. I'm already doing that with RX meds. More than once we've put out over $50.00 on RX medication that I had to stop taking. Such a waste of money. :(

***If this stuff really does work well for pain, I can see the pharmaceutical companies lobbying against it.

They can lobby all they want, its patented already and doesn't break any laws.

They do suck, but there is a limit to how much they can get away with lol.

Thanks for letting me know about this product.

Why don't you mix some into a whole avocado(mash it up together), and eat it with some food. It should be more effective since it will help lower the substances that cause pain by going directly to your immune system, due to the avocado being high in monounsaturated fat that gets absorbed effectively by the lymphatic system, where most of your immune system is located.

Post back, and let me know how ti goes.

Not a fan of avocado myself, but maybe mixed in with a sandwich or something. Subway is all about the avocado lately lol, maybe I'll give it a try when I need to get lunch at work.

Thanks for the tip

Do you like peanuts or cahsews?

You can make a nut butter(high in monounsaturated fat) by just blending the nuts in a blender with a few drops of water, and make a sandwich out of that. Just put a few drops of the tincture in while you are making the nut butter, so everything can blend well. Make sure you don't put too much liquid in with the nuts, because it will be too liquid. You just want to make everything a little smooth, with some chunks in it. If you have powerful blender then it will be smooth, but it doesn't have to be, you just don't want it to turn into a thick liquid because it won't hold onto the bread, and it will drip everywhere.

Taking a b6 supplement will help process the fat, so it will be processed efficiently.
