well I guess it depends on where the 90 days comes from...does it come from testing showing the nichrome wire to break or something? Maybe he could give as an idea about that.

Am I right in assuming this is kind of the same material that is being used in cartomizers for e-cigs, I mean the wiring? Cause that is why i made the first remark, they seem a bit fragile...

Apart from that, it still sounds like a really nice addition to any collection.

guess a year would be easily seen as exceptable...

Yes, a brass screen rests at the bottom of the chamber. This is non-user replaceable(yet).

I think the 90 days warranty is just because it's a really small start-up. If this vaporizer gets a lot of buyers i think the warranty will eventually get better.

the thing is that if u are an early adopter and then the warranty gets better or this screen under your material gets user replaceable does that mean that your warranty gets better also and your unit upgraded?

I think he still has a day-job to contend with. May be some time before he has free time to set an account up.

Looks like he joined on Wednesday; hopefully he's just waiting for the mods to verify him as a manufacturer. Can't wait to hear more straight from the source!

Also, thanks for all the info VaporEyes! I'm sure there are plenty more reading besides those posting. You're doing a great service. Tough work playing with a new toy, I'm sure.

VaporEyes Thanx for the reviews..

My pleasure, I've learned and gained so much from FC and now it's my time to give back to the community. When I get home I'm going to see if this can't be adapted to water pieces .

Hello everybody, I'm Marc, designer of the Firewood. Sorry I'm late and thanks for all of the interest in my vaporizer, and thanks VaporEyes for being an early adopter and sharing your impressions and answering questions.

The 2 big announcements are that we now ship to Canada and Australia and also we will be extending the warranty to 1 year. We just need to work on the wording of the warranty then we will post it to the website and Etsy.

One remaining question that i noticed was about the internal screen. That is not easily replaceable, but it shouldn't need to be. Since it is upstream in the air path from the herbals it never gets coated with resin like the mouthpiece screen does. The longest I have used a unit for so far is about a couple months, and the internal screen in that unit still has that new shiny brass appearance. If it really started to fall apar or have issuest, it could be replaced by me or possibly a customer with the proper tools, but I really want to discourage removal of that screen (I'll probably put an exclusion on the warranty for attempts to remove it).

VaporEyes has done an excellent job of answering questions and I think they have been all answered, but if not let me know.

Thank you Marc!!! 1 year warranty sounds marvelous and welcome to FC! You might have another customer very shortly ;)

Trever,
Definitely buying one now with longer warranty. That was really the only thing holding me back because it seemed like it would be difficult to repair after the warranty was up.

welcome to the forum mate!

what about shipping to greece?

Edward Hyde,
This reminds me allot of a dug-out form factor. I like that aspect. +1 for cottage industries. Hope the product is received well by the masses. :)
Glad someone else noticed that! The old dug-out was portable and easy to conceal. Good design IMHO,and at THIS price? Even Forrest Gump would jump on this deal. So if you're smarter than a make-believe retard you really should give this Vape a shot.
Or just accept that life is like a box of chocolates and return to the asylum.

The Dug-out was my go to design when I used to combust. I could have 5-6 one hitters from the bat and call it good. I used to work at a Chocolate Factory in Pikes Place Market. I would walk around the block and have a toke using my dug-out every time I had a break. Brings back some nostalgic memories.
