Pax - All Models

Mine came in the mail today. I like, just not sure I $350 like it compared to the plus, especially since it’s so much bigger

The vapor is smoother and produces more than the plus. I’m keeping it, but it doesn’t blow me away or anything

Damn this thing gets hot. I have over 100 vapes, and this might be the one that gets the hottest i’ve ever felt one get
Yeah sounds like they fucked that up. I got a sleeve but im disappointed that they didn’t think of ways to dissipate the heat. Theres way too many things on the market to not learn from.

We expect a little heat, like the TM2, but from what ive heard its wild.

Going by the specs they've posted, this vape is just a fancy equivalent of an Arizer Air SE! So sorry, the shell on this new Pax sure doesn't make it worth $350!!!

I posted an early Pax Flow Review on 420vapezone

Pax did a great job with the Flow. I just struggle with its price and how its performance compares to other vapes on the market.
I really wanted to like it. I feel like if this vape were $200 or $250 it'd be a lot easier to recommend.

At 350 I'd get a Pax Mini AND a Rogue 2 and an ounce of weed.

The Pax grinder and loading tool are pretty cool though!

nope! had to buy the loading tool seperate. no grinder either.
OK so new model and i guess a slightly higher price would be expected, but why not drop the prices of existing models like the Plus by $50 or so. But they didn't do that.

Interesting posts on the Flow. The price is just too far above my head to consider. My Pax3 is all I need because I’m a low dose user and always use the 1/2 pack lid to put .15-.18g A 0.3g oven will just cook everything too quickly as most hybrid vapes still tend to do. But for those who want that size oven it may meet that need.

archangelz001,
I don't know what it is, but this things is starting to grow on me. I've been choosing this over the TM2, solo 3, etc lately. I also really like the form factor, Just wish it didn't get so hot, and I wish the budkups fit, the oven must not be the exact same size as the pax plus

Be sure you wipe down the airpath with iso wipe or cotton swab when you get you get your new pax. I had some discoloration on the Q-tip from initial cleaning and forgot to mention. Cleaning the herb container (the one that looks like an Era) also gave me some residue and reminded me to mention about the device itself.

I have only tried a Pax through a friend who has one and although the stealth factor is great, I really hate how the mouthpiece is designed and how you draw. I feel like I'm trying to slurp off the side of a cup and the draw force just isn't satisfying for me. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Yeah they are just super sleek and the new Flow certainly seems much better, but the low profile mouthpiece, kissing the corner of the device, and having to use silicone, is not very appealing for me either ultimately

I ordered one. I have had a Pax for a long time, along with so many other vaporizers. Most have been found lacking and “retired” to my vape boneyard. I’ve wasted a lot of money on many different popular brands. On the other hand, my Pax units have always been dependable and in the “rotation”. That being said, I‘ve always wished that they could hit a little harder and have an easier draw. I’m excited about this iteration of the Pax and can’t wait to get it in my grubby hands!

you are spot on. It is almost the most stealth vaporizer out there save the Gpen Dash series. Always heard Dash was not as good as PAX for taste though. I was always put off by Grenco reliance on endorsements (eg. Mike Tyson) as well.

But if you have the flat mouthpiece and you were not familiar with it I would say the average person might pick it up and think it was a small battery bank as there are literally no markings on it.

But my PAX Plus is Stinky! If i walked into a room my wife could immediately tell me she knew what i was doing if it had been previously used! So this might be a generalization but pure conduction vaporizers may have a stronger odor than convection or hybrid.
I wonder if Flow is as bad? Highly recommend PAX caps available as an accessory at POTV or Delta 3D, but curiously not at Pax.com web site. No odor if you use the caps ---- wife tested.

Sadly, my experience with Pax has been terrible. I tried the OG Pax, weak, hot vapor. I gave it away. Tried the Pax 2 ( really wanted to like Pax ) On the very first hit of the Pax 2, the vapor was so hot it burned my lip and raised a blister! Tossed that one in the shit can! Now they want $350 for a stripped down vape in a fancy shell?? There are several $150 vapes that can put this new pax to shame and have much better mouth piece than this sippy cup design! Don't waste your money!

Finally got mine this afternoon! 😁

I can’t come to any conclusions after 1 session, and too high to go in any depth anyway, but a few observations in no particular order:

The process of presses to turn on/cycle thru are opposite of other Paxes (long press to turn on/off vs short press with the others, etc)
Ugh, well, at least now it’s similar to the Venty - I always confuse the two 🤪

When I put my finger over the air slit, it doesn’t stop the flow of air. Need to figure out entire air path…

Love the green color and the color they used for the mouthpieces works well with it

It’s girthy-er

No packing necessary, was nice to not use as much weed, even with slightly larger oven

Yeah, I hate that flat mp. I only used the raised ones, the few mm is worth it to me

Agree the Pax is extra stinky. 90% of the stink, imho, is from the mouthpiece. I use a case from delta 3D studios, super thin and keeps the smell inside the case. I am gonna reach out to him to discuss a case for the Flow (if he’s not already on it), b/c I assume this one will also stink.

That’s it for now, may come back later if I have time

Still waiting on mine to ship, apparently there were some delays getting units out to other vendors.

I did receive my pax stash tube snd the puck press ahead of time and tried it out on my pax 3. They both are game changers for loading, especially the press. I got some huge rips from a dense full press.

I actually kind of love the device, but not including a heat shield is inexcusable. If you are coming out the gate with a price of $350 then you should have thrown in that very, very cheap heatshield. It wouldn't have eaten into your profit too much and it wouldn't be a topic of conversation for all the community. Kind of a dumb move to price it like this and then nickel and dime all your customers to death. They knew it was an issue and passed the cost on to us which i don't love.
