Received email from limelight team regarding US Shipments;

“we are sorry about the delay, packages were returned to our USA shipper because they were supposed to be labeled differently for batteries.
He will ship all packages today, we will follow up with the tracking number.
Thanks for understanding.”
I received the a similar email this morning I am in (USA)

"
Hello,

we are very sorry about the delay, our USA forwarder had some issues with batteries shipping.

We will have the tracking number for you later today.
Thanks for understanding."

Wonder why it only went out to certain folks? I'm US, paid 7/24.
I emailed them asking for update, from the email they sent me with receipt
have you emailed them? if you have not maybe thats why,
its tougher to do all this when its manually, is my guess

Gotcha!! really appreciate the explanation. I thought it was an email to all US customers, which wouldn't be a bad idea.

I think since the payments are manual, there is no automation or system in place for emails also, so they receive a payment
and Dejan and his wife (Thats the entire team 2 people) they have to manually generate a receipt for each buyer, and manually send each email also. so i do understand them in that sense, Dejan said they are working into getting everything automated, I have done manual business like this, its tough, especially with alot of sales. at this point if I was them I would probably be doing the same, answering emails manually with updates and those that are not asking, I would probably focus my time and resources on getting orders out first, since it takes alot of time to answer everyone.

this is just my opinion because i have gone through the manual business way before, and it is tough,
I hope they succeed in getting their sales automation in place.
hang in there I am sure your order is gonna get there soon.

the only other thing I am guessing that the shipping will have to change from priority mail to Ground shipping
as batteries will not be allowed to get on airplanes, so they will have to drive them from NJ to our state(s) ground shipping is just driving
packages (No flights) so takes a bit longer but thats ok, thats a safety precaution with these type of batteries. its all a learning experience for them

If the P50b battery is already installed in the Frolic in the retail package then it can be shipped via air, fyi.

Only if it is a "loose" battery, as in not installed in the device as shipped, is when the air shipping is fully prohibited.

That said, I don't know how the battery is being shipped currently inside the retail box.

hey thanks for the info,

I watched Troy's Frolic Review ( I recommend anyone that has not seen this review) he is honest on all the good and any bad he see's in his reviews. and he is pretty entertaining too haha! good guy, give him a follow

from Troy's review and unboxing, I remember seeing the battery installed inside the Frolic, it does have a piece of blue sticker on the top of the battery so it will not make contact, and you need to remove it in order to start using the Frolic, so yes it comes inside the Frolic
so hopefully like you said they can still fly these to us all.

thanks for sharing mcscruffy!

So this AVB pic was from an on-demand session at 410F with airflow a bit less than half open. I find this heater does a good job at an even roast. Haven't encountered any hotspots yet. Taste and puff control is getting better. It took 2 hits and a cleanup hit for this bowl. The whole session was under a minute.

Hi guys, for some reason FC didn't work for me earlier today...

Not trying to find any excuses here, for any aspect of this operation, it's 100% our responsibility, but I do need to say this out loud just so people don't get the wrong impression about the whole thing.

Like someone mentioned above, it's pretty much Maja and me here. Of course, we had support and help from good people along the way, but end of the day, it's us. Taking care of 2 toddlers doesn't help either lol...

We are slowly getting things in order and will automatize what we can, have a proper checkout, etc. But there's only so much we can do within a given timeframe.

With that said, you all are paying customers and have the full right to say, those are your problems not ours and you would be absolutely right. So I can't thank you enough for the support, understanding and patience, i simply pointed the above so you know that we aren't scummy or disrespectful, we are simply clumsy, which end of the day doesn't change your situation. At any given point, everyone is eligible for a full refund.

The US orders did land on Tuesday but again, because this was the first time our friend is doing this, things got delayed for a few days. The initial long delay was due to us wanting to go the extra mile and bring these to you more conveniently with local shipping and all the costs covered.

Anyway, they are now packaged and labeled properly and yes, air should be fine per USPS terms. They will leave first thing in the morning. US is now out of stock, but another package is on its way.

Regarding the EU orders, they did land but the forwarding company took a few days to process the packages so they promised to dispatch them on Monday.

I have to address one more thing, sorry about the long post. Someone asked whether the airpaths are indeed sealed off as I claimed them to be. The answer is yes, but... If you cover the 2 openings on the side of the device, air which would otherwise be drawn through the 2 big slots only will, due to the formed under pressure be pulled through other cavities into the gap between the battery compartment and the heater tube. This does not mean that the airpath isn't sealed. If you take a peek through the 2 said slots on the sides, you will notice that the PEEK tube has 2 air intakes. If you were to close those off, then yes, there would be a complete vacuum. seals on top and the bottom ensure this.

Thanks!

I hope I speak for all of us when I say your continued communication is greatly appreciated and I dont have any issues with how you are handling it. You're getting up and running and most, if not all, of us are cognizant of that. To make up for the blips and bumps as you find your way to max efficiency you have done an excellent job of staying active on here and keeping us in the loop.

Any comments I have made were not meant to be received as a negative by you. A few days delay on a brand new device that you've managed to get almost all preorder shipments ready or out WORDLWIDE within a 2-3 week window is nothing short of impressive.

Me not having it for my short trip this weekend is the epitome of a first world problem so pay no mind to that.

(Oh btw I did find another typo in the guide in addition to the one I saw on page 2 but i need to check again to confirm since it's been a few days... I'll dm you for this stuff moving forward.)

Yeah all this is understandable and part of business, I think Dejan and his wife are doing pretty good, considering they are only 2 people
I remember sending them an email after I paid because I made a mistake on the manual payment process, and they got to me right away
with fixing my transaction so i can get credit for it, I emailed them to thank "The Entire Team" and Dejan just laughed and said "entire team, my wife and I, lol"

I think things will go alot better next round for all the other people coming after us, and I see the passion behind this Power Couple
doing something great for this community and working hard at it.

great job Dejan, wife Maja and the 2 kiddos!
Stay Strong and Encouraged!

Forgot to mention in my previous post another experience with the Frolic. I love a good session mode sipper as well as an on-demand ripper so last night I loaded two AVLP capsules with a glob of rosin covered in flower and tried session mode some more.

I pre-soaked the capsules at 400F until I first saw wisps of vapor and then brought it down to 350-360F for the rest of the session. Great flavor all the way to the end and no mess in the unit because of the capsules. Nice dark roast.

Yay, the fellow OCD freak, you crawled out finally so I can properly thank you! Thank you for taking the time.

I paid great attention to these things, but what they say is true, one can't see the forest from the tree at times...

Also thanks for the above. Getting there, I can see the light, either at the end of the tunnel or I'm actually dying.

Wow - finally a worthy competitor to S&B. Beautiful industrial design and execution from the looks of it!

Question mainly for my curiosity. Since cooling of the vapor is the primary goal, why is PEEK chosen for the air pathway over, say, aluminum whose heat dissipation is (should be) superior?

Mainly cost, I bought 3 Mighty cooling units for $60 where 1 stainless steel unit is $100 and if you can 3D print it, even cheaper. Detailed units or parts machined from SS, Ti and aluminum can be tedious and expensive to manufacture. imo

Hey thanks! Just messing around with it trying to find how to get the most out of it. I'm a flavor guy for the most part so I'm usually not chasing big clouds and have my temps in the 350F range when I'm doing sessions.

However, I just had a session with the AVLP caps and plain flower at 375F to sample what I think is a balance most users would like and the clouds come easily with a nice fluffy taste.

On demand, I'm liking 410F. In all cases I'm starting to like airflow at a bit less than 50% open.

They're gold plated capsules made for the Airvape Legacy Pro vaporizer but they fit the Frolic pretty well.

Airvape legacy pro caps

The lid is upside down compared to S&B caps

Side note: I find it funny I'm now more likely to use these more in the Frolic than in the ALVP2
