Khomeini made it very clear, they are fine with war with the US and Israel for as long as it takes.
The distance between here and there is our distance to overcome, not theirs. We have huge assets and many people we can't really protect spread all around the Persian Gulf.
We didn't really do anything but piss them off with our Hi-Tech billion dollar one-and-done bombing raid, mostly just pissed them off and guaranteed problems to come.
When they close the straight of Hormuz, the fight begins in earnest. Those hypersonic missiles travel from Iran to Israel in 350 seconds. They flood the zone with 100+ regular drones and powerful missiles to tie-up and deplete defensive systems, then surprise with a few going mach 15, over 5 kilometers per second. Our bases and carrier groups are sitting ducks. Israel is defenseless against those. They were shocked to see these bad boys.
Not much we can do from here except use bigger round the world armadas with bigger bombs. Their conventional military hardware is immaterial and the army will mostly go underground or be in hiding when we fly overhead.
Trump thinks it's over and it's really just beginning. What will we do when a carrier or a base is badly damaged? Boots on the ground will be a fool's errand in Iran.
Gas prices could skyrocket over the next months. Our bond market could crash tomorrow or very soon, sending us straight into an economic collapse, i.e. a violent great depression.
Continued sale of Treasury bonds is required to continue borrowing to make payments on our $36T debt. That process was already problematic, due to the global "Sell America" campaign. There is a serious push to abandon the US dollar in favor of a BRICS Alliance currency, which already includes 41% of the world's GDP, due to Trump's crazy destructive trade war. China, Japan, the UK and others were already dumping instead of buying treasuries bonds, disrupting US government auctions. We feel insulated here, but we're extremely exposed financially.
Americans watch cool sound bytes on TV, and are mostly oblivious to what is coming. Our equipment, military personnel and civilians in the region are exposed. Iran is much tougher, bigger, better prepared, more unified, and much more determined than Iraq in 2003, and is already fully backed by two nuclear powers, Russia and Pakistan.
We're also totally exposed here in an economic sense. There won't be a recovery when the dollar finally crashes. The game will be over. No one needs to attack us in North America. We're in the process of jumping on our own "sword".
The high level view is that we've come to the end of the colonial empire period, that's us. As much as 70-80% of the world is lining up against us and ready for a change.
This is a Scottish interview of Colonel McGregor published 12 hrs ago. He tells it like it is, a colossal fuck up.
