Dynavap M7XL (+halo tip) or Woodwynd for 1st vaporizer?

Hey guys, please help me choosing my first ever vaporizer, I can get each of these two for a decent price but cannot decide, both look amazing :

- M7XL : 80€, and I will probably get the Halo tip as well for 50€ (the combo seems great for what I’m looking for)
Pros: will last longer, adjustable airflow, easier to clean.
Cons: any?

- Woodwynd : 100€.
Pros: it just looks beautiful, and I’m intrigued about the Helix tip.
Cons: cleaning seems a bit more tedious because of the wood, restricted airflow, maybe less potent than the M7XL (due to more convection-leaning heat)?

I come from smoking joints (with tobacco) but want to switch to vaporizers.
I’m looking for something that will allow me to ‘keep my ritual’ (hence why I decided on DV) and something more session-like (I like to sip my joint for 10-15min on my couch).
I’ll be using a torch for now, will upgrade to an IH later on.

Thanks all in advance for the help! It looks like it’s the most important decision of my life haha

The M7XL is awesome. It's easy to heat, retains heat for more tokes per heating, is forgiving of your technique. There were tips that fit sorta loosely initially but they seem to have gotten the tolerances together. With that solved there are no cons I can think of. Titanium bowls are a little trickier to heat well so the Halo will be more challenging but worth leaning for sure. Halo's fantastic with the Armored Cap, the flavor is really good.

The Helix on the Woodwynd is forgiving and very even for Ti, it also retains some heat for stronger hits but it differs in that its airflow is very open, especially with the perforated cap. The wood doesn't actually have a whole lot of contact with the vapor so cleaning is minimal, if needed at all. Airflow is very unrestricted, especially with the perforated cap.

The M7 is a more traditional (though refined) Dynavap where the Woodwynd to me is the most different outlier among Dynavaps because of the airflow. I would be tempted to recommend the M7XL because it's very, very good and it's easier to get really satisfying hits without scorching. The Woodwynd is just slightly trickier, but easy for a Ti-tipped DV.

Good idea to learn to torch heat it before you get a IH. I get much better performance out of each of these two tips with the torch because of the way you can build/customize heat.

Lots of other choices out there but DVs got me away from combustion literally overnight. They're a fantastic first vape.

Thank you so much coolbreeze for you reply.

I’ll go and order the M7XL as my first vape as it seems to be overall a more traditional experience as you said (still debating getting the Halo tip with it), but I’ll get the WW too at some point because it just looks so cool.

That’s exactly what I feel will happen to me as well, and why I decided on DV :) I literally can’t wait to try it.

Another good contender I was looking at was the Solo 3, but it will have to wait for now.
