[Tama Tama no Mi]

my Tiodw pro housing with both 18mm injector and the 23mm diffuser arrived today.

Here are the links to some pics but I’m not sure if they work.

With the diffuser and the weight of the ceramic and the balls makes it balance on 22mm bowls which is awesome. I’m using 2mm ruby balls but I have to use grade 2 titanium mesh screens to stop them from falling out the top or bottom holes. I don’t taste titanium from vapes so I don’t think it will take anything from using full ceramic.

Im amazed how this Tempest bowl on WPA worked well. It sits perfect on the wood to enclose the air gap. This will be married to my ceramic v3 as microdose bowl

Grrrrr my very first try with the ceramic Tiodw Pro it got completely stuck on the titanium bowl. I guess use with caution when pairing with the bowl it’s made for?

I ordered their glass (22mm) diffuser bowl and have the shovelhead so if not I'll update yall on how well it fits.

I have their glass diffuser bowl for their 23mm diffusers. It tapers from 22mm to 23mm and honestly it doesn’t work great with either. Gets stuck with 22mm diffusers, and lets in too much cool air with the Tiodw 23mm diffusers (pro, fv-trio, Tiodw mini v2)

It actually works best with the ceramic Pro after my failed experiment last night with the titanium bowl. Since it gets stuck with the titanium it must sit a bit tighter on the glass compared to the others.

Just order the TIODW ceramic pro wireless. Manufacturer said it takes like 350 3mm rubies, anyone else who's gotten it that can confirm? That sounds like so much coming from the 200 in the ss zeal.

I just wanted to chime back in now that people have these in hand (mine’s still getting a scenic tour of basically the entire US courtesy of USPS). A friend reports a 260x3mm bag being a bit insufficient to fill one of these - but 350 is definitely higher than is realistic. The real number seems to be about 300x3mm. I hope this is helpful!! I’d personally still grab a 350 sack as you WILL lose some to many over time!!

To be honest I had to smash one to remove it from the CC omega 22mm diffuser. I have another one now but I’m scared to use it with my Tiodw Plus 2.0, so that’s good to know! I tried it only once and it felt “sticky” and I backed off immediately. I’ll work up the courage to try again soon

The 23mm diffuser is supposed to fit the titanium bowl and it does, but they made mine a tiny bit smaller since they know I’m fussy about fitment. Unfortunately their good intentions lead to bad consequences and it was half a hair too small once the Pro is hot.

this is so interesting to hear! I will definitely test mine on the 23mm titanium bowl once the USPS stops lovingly touring my parcel to each post office in the country. It seems to be having a nice voyage at least!

P.S. I mentioned earlier about using those glass bowls with the Plus 2.0, and them not needing catastrophic plier removal à la epitome - and it became very very obvious… a non-driven housing will cool and contract (locking on the taper) but a driven head (especially a titanium one) just…. won’t!

Yeah! I tried the plus 2.0 with that bowl after your reply and it didn’t stick at all, so thank you! It is a very nice convection rip.

I’m being sent a new one that will fit the Ti bowl for sure, even when it’s hot. Mine fit extremely tight when cold but could still be pulled off. When hot it instantly locked onto the bowl and took me forever to get off once cooled down.

Got mine today! (Ceramic pro diffuser)

Lost ab 5-10 rubies opening the package and had maybe around 10 left over after filling. I'd guess around 330 rubies in total will fit. I believe it may fit 10-20 more with a ss or ti screen as the ceramic one takes up a lot of space.

Ceramic does taste better/doesn't have the "metal twang" I've heard about. I've also used the ss zeal which I think this is an upgrade from so far. It reminds me of my elev8r w rubies before I broke it but 50× better.

It fits on my knock off shovelhead bowel with a few mm to spare even when hot. Tbh maybe one tighter like as stated in previous messages would be the perfect fit.

Still waiting on their glass bowl. I think it'll be 2-3 days as I ordered it later. Also this thing did some so quick, like within a week.

If it’s helpful the Tiodw pro is a 23mm diffuser unlike the 22mm diffuser on the Zeal or Tiodw plus 2.0.

My slightly off one wasn’t made custom at all and just a factory second kind of thing they thought I’d appreciate - but they didn’t account for it getting stuck when hot. It still has a few mm to spare with the shovelhead bowl like yours tho.
