Still very impressed by this after having for a bit now. During a clean, I took a nug and gathered the scu reclaim on it (as mentioned before), and threw it in the half bowl. It did a better job than I expected extracting  NUG

So I caved in and tried the half bowl (so much for full bowl till I die) figured I've experimented with everything else so why not.

It smacks. Sorry if it ever seemed I was making fun of people who preferred it. I'm shocked at the clouds you can get. Think I will prefer it for longer sessions with multiple reheats to be honest.

*smiles* welcome to the dark side, I think I prefer the full bowl even if only half full as I like the conduction/radient heat that gets added over time by the bowl. The half bowl setting is great and has great flavour and cloud and awesome efficency but... the full is still my preferred. I think part of it is because I like to make a little layered salad and its fun getting different effects and flavours as the herbs heat up if you take it really slowly and use the wand to maintain the heat (as best you can, I just do the hash suck while heating every other breath)

Having a list of which parts fit together and their compatibility isn't so subjective.
sorry if I offended, it was a broader comment than just your stuff mate, I was reading a bunch of posts and thought I quoted them all and didn't realize it was just yours.. my bad... I am pretty sick and I want to be involved still as I have loved being involved but sometimes the words come out wrong and I have to come back and edit it a few times and I haven't been able to because of the amount of times I have been to the hospital this week. I am sorry for the implications.

Hi, new here. Since you guy's talk about cleaning the tempest I was wondering if this part from the revolve gen 2 as been redesigned for the new tempest.

im asking cause I hate the revolve gen2 cause it always get clogged right there in 48 hours of use for me using the anvil as a Oven.

Made me stop using the stem for that reason and now I just use a simrell stingray condenser ( without any cooling unit) cause it make my life so much easier, I can now go 10 days without cleaning the stem.

see the red arrow, if the stem still designed like that I dont want it..... will order only the oven

Still prefer half bowl for me, just feel i don't get double the vapour/experience using full bowl for whatever reason so feels more efficient on half. Happy to report the tempest functions flawlessly on the golf course as well, doesn't hold the heat as well outside of course but still so good walking down the fairway puffing away

@RedZep ever since you said the Tempest was your favourite vape... I keep asking myself "What's my favourite vape?" but I decided not to bother with favoritism but I got a new vape, a convection dominant ball vape and I prefer the Tempest in almost every way (temperature control and back to back bowls being the only thing the new one had over my test kit Tempest - flavour, efficiency and signature was all similar - but I can't use the new one on the couch like the I can the Tempest so the it wins again... I have another challenger arriving on the 3rd of January (been calling in favours) so I am keen to see if that is another similar situation.

Yeah I think it's because the Tempest has nothing that annoys me. Which is probably the first time that has ever happened with any device. Even some of the supposed best vapes ever made (B0, Volcano Hybrid, Mighty, Anvil, TM2 etc) all had/have things that bug the hell out of me. Also the versatility is absurd.

I also think I'm swayed by elegance these days. I prefer to use a brick butane vape over a large footprint ball vape set up, with large glass piece, bowls, passthrough adaptor, etc.

I'm going to run the Tempest on half bowl, on a J-hook today, and I bet it will be amazing. Then I'm going to watch the match at a friend's later and will take the Tempest with the stem. Perfect vape to share. Elegant as possible with the Reload.

So yeah I think it's my favourite of all time for sure. It makes getting medicated easy and friction free. Also maintenance is a breeze. So it's a reliable workhorse for me, which is what I value. My favourite objects are not fancy things that stay in the cupboard. It's things that are used constantly and never let me down.

Accidentally combusted...now I can't get the balls white again. Tried 20min iso soak and later tossed them in ultrasonic. Still not white white... Should I leave them soaking more time?

I let mine soak for a long time. Iso can only do so much imo..
I’ve combusted a bit with another portable and here are the zirc’s that are a bit discolored. Could have been some specs of abv up in there too. Still work just fine but won’t ever be as clean as when they were new.

Settling on half bowl, still on helix tube, airport closed, through the Prophet. Wand at 595F. Let it go till the light goes solid and the second click. Very repeatable and right now I’m alternating between the Tempest and the Screwball. I’m leaning towards the Tempest, I must admit. I can use smaller amounts and the high seems very clean and clear. Might switch out for the direct tube, but right now I have no complaints.

@jbm this is me - I messaged @RedZep earlier basically saying the same thing, using the screwball and tempest at the moment and when I get up in the morning (lunchtime) I like to sit down with the Tempest, its my preferred first cannabis use of the day, its a really nice experience / ritual and the Screwballs bowl size is quite large and I haven't decided if a big bowl is better than 3 smaller bowls yet (leaning towards 3 smaller most of the time - but 1 large when i'm in a lot of pain maybe)

@TedJones is there any favorite's or are they all equally awesome for different reasons?

New here. Wondering what the best way to get notified about the Tempest release. I know it's expected to be in January, but would hate to miss out

I have to be honest... I am really missing the temperature features of the release Tempest at the moment... its been slowly causing the test kit Tempest, to be something I use "every now and then", to enjoy the experience and ritual... but the test kit Tempest is not something I can rely on to medicate myself at the moment.

Tonight was kind of the final straw, after burning myself pretty baddly on the Tempest and another device, I have switched back to other devices including having a ball vape "always on" (my phone turns it on and off) - which sounds great, but when you can't walk the 5m to get there, it's kind of useless.

@RedZep said something about how he felt that as a medical user the tempest really helped him get on top of his medication, apparently, this has been true for me too, I am finding it hard to stay medicated at the moment, the Tempest made it so easy and sort of relaxing, I didn't have to get up, I didn't have to grab some glassware, and once it was heated, I felt like I had all the time in the world and there was no rush... which really helps you to relax and can help reduce your experience of pain. I used to love having a spliff out the back watching the clouds, the Tempest is a bit like that...

I would suggest you keep watching this thread. Every two days should be good enough. We will certainly be talking about it (and jumping up and down) the moment @Brenyo says it's gonna happen. This is a highly anticipated event even for those of us who already have a test kit. Maybe even more so for us because we know exactly what's coming.

Added: Let me add here that once the Tempest is officially released @Brenyo believes there will be more than enough to fill expected initial orders. That being said, watching this thread is still a good idea.
