Anvil by Vestratto

Must confess that I'm a vestratto slob. I also removed all screens, from the condenser as well. Sometimes I will heat an empty bowl to click and heat clean the anvil that way LOL

Got my anvil today so I have some questions.
First does the xl mouthpiece helps with cooling the vapor? Is it recommended to buy?
Or you recommend a different stem for example tectonic, simrell, mvs? Can you adjust with those airflow like on og anvil stem? Which you would recommend?

Second is there a difference between half bowl and full bowl? I read somewhere half bowl is more conduction. Is this true? Is there a difference in taste between of bowls? I would like to microdose?

Can you use hash (bubble) with the anvil without flower? How you do this? You use Rayon or cotton? Can you use rayon or cotton with only hash? Or is this not a good idea? I am worried I will destroy the bowl with rayon or cotton or burn them. Do you stop heating after first click?

Until now I am very impressed with the anvil, great clouds and taste.

I hope I did not destroy my oven or bowl.. because I wanted to reheat after first hit and thought there will be no click when cooling down only when heating I thought it will click… of course I combusted and my anvil oven is now totally bronze (color like copper)…

Also I think I need the anvil utility case? Especially for taking of the bowl? And to swap it inside the case after using and still hot? Does the magnet help to cool down the bowl?

How you using your anvil?

Thanks!

If you go back in the thread the last couple pages you’ll find a few of your questions have been the topic of discussion.

In short, XL mp does help with cooling, no doubt. But it’s not needed.

You can’t use aftermarket stems unless you buy the USA. stock configuration will not work.

The XL bowl is the one that has more conduction. The normal and half bowls are essentially the same except for load size. You can still do small amounts in the regular bowl.

Rayon or cotton is totally and completely fine. Some grades of hash are best by themselves but for bubble id use the cotton.

Your bowl is fine. Heat until the second click for even more power.

I’d recommend a leather case w/ magnet from @Duba over the utility case from Vestratto but they both do the job. And yes, the magnet steals a lot of heat away from the bowl when you need it to cool down faster.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for you answer…
I tried to read old posts from this thread… I did. read you use only hash in your anvil…

Is the USA Adapter a good idea to buy and use other stems… or is the anvil stock stem best of all? What are you using… I saw you using a pipe?

Why would you prefer duba leather case?
Can you put a hot anvil in utility case?

How much bubble I should put inside rayon? bb size enough?

If you like mod-ability, can’t go wrong with having a USA on hand.

I personally prefer something handmade instead of mass manufacturing, so leather stand out as a clear choice. Some folks don’t like leather though. Also Duba is a G and I’m happy to support him any chance I get.

As for how much bubble, I’d stuff that bitch full until performance gets worse, and then dial it back a bit.

I gave up on trying to get my stuck Anvil heat shield off awhile back, but decided to pick the task up again today. If one were going to be stuck on, I really wish it were the other one.

Maybe I'm trying the wrong way? I seem to remember the heatshield threading being counter to the mouthpiece threading, but it's been stuck so long, who can say anymore? In the past I would accidentally begin to unthread the heat shield trying to thread the mouthpiece on if I wasn't careful iirc, now I can't get the heat shield off at all. Does the heat shield unthread counter to the mouthpiece or in the same direction?

Both spin in the same direction, standard counter clockwise to loosen.

Good luck getting them separated

So I received my 420 duracore. On their site, it is pictured with the WPA accessory. I bought it strictly cause it had both. I just received the unit itself today. Went to vestratto.com, scrolled down, and it said JUST THE UNIT. Why the fuck would you picture it next to the WPA? Goes to show I'm the asshole this time and you really can't believe everything you see plus always read the fine print! banished to classifieds with you! I already have one that works plus has a phattpiggie stem!

You know, I never noticed it was pictured with the WPA. Pretty misleading if you ask me! None of their other products are misrepresented by the placeholder photo, I wonder why they felt the need to do that with the 420 dura.

I’d say they owe everyone a WPA. Although I didn’t buy it because I already have one, I thought it was included as well.

So I guess the price of the Anvil is now $5 more. No big deal but I thought John said they were going to eventually lower prices.

Am I the only one that feels this vape may be one for the history books soon? Seems like they are having a hard time producing them. I’d say the hype has died down since the FMJ and the Danivape came around too. Sometimes I feel like I could get by with just the FMJ, especially if you consider price.

When was the last drop even? Looks like it keeps getting pushed back.

No more Sunday posts or FC activity either.

Not sure what’s up with their supply, but I’d say it’s a bad take to think hype died out with the release of the FMJ and Dani. Considering neither of those products come close to touching the Anvils performance. The only thing that killed their hype is their sudden inability to produce these in any numbers, for some reason. On the site it still says something about bad weather but it must be something else causing this bottleneck. The Dani fusion is one of the most sold devices on the exchange right now (they also get bought quick too) so that says a lot about people who bought into the hype and then once honeymoon died out, they sold. I hardly ever see Anvil stuff come up.

Myself as an affiliate, I’ve given out more of my discount code the last 3 months than I did last year. I’ve been asked lots and lots when the hell they’ll get stock.

Maybe Whiff can give us an update as to what’s going on at Vestratto, but it’s likely he knows about as much as us. What you sayin’ @Whiff

Gotta be honest, I use the FMJ with the half bowl on my Dynavap and feel like I get thicker vapor than my half bowl in the Anvil, sometimes just as tasty.

If it wasn’t for my love of the convection signature the Anvil provides and the open airflow, it would be in the classified thanks to the FMJ. I have never used the danivape. You must consider price too.

These things are all subjective

@Whiff
yea I saw the guy I sold my fusion to resell it after a couple weeks and you definitely rarely see anvils on the exchange, the fusion was a bit overhyped for sure

Odd way to gauge quality of a product. You can say the same about the abundance of Mightys and TM2s that get listed. Doesn't mean they're bad devices. I prefer the Anvil to my Fusion but I can't say it performs any better, but rather it's a better made device. Can't go wrong with either.

I'm sure you're genuine about your love for the anvil but if I were a new buyer, I would take your passion with a grain of salt considering your affiliation.

I mean, I’m in the Fusion thread talking it up quite a bit. I really enjoyed mine but it fell short on a few accounts after I had spent more time with it. I would agree, you can’t go wrong with either. I never said it was a bad device, just observing that they get resold quick. (Sorry I know this ain’t the thread for this convo)

I was passionate before being invited to the affiliate team, as I was quite active on Instagram with my love for many many devices. I’m only affiliated because of my passion, not passionate because I’m affiliated. I have no motivation for duping unsuspecting users so I can make some coin. I only give my code to people who I know are already on their way to buy one, or who ask me for it. My opinions are indeed genuine but grains of salt never hurt anyone either.

anvil works real good with bubble. Iwrao it in rayoun, size of a bb, first heating cycle it has more taste (I am to heat the rings near stem), taste is ok, not bad and not very good... after second reheat I get a lot of big clouds so 6 to 8 (like smoke) taste is not very strong anymore... I am thinking about if I should try 3rd reheat... how you know that there is nothing left anymore?

Just remembering the old trick with a dyna stem where you cut a tiny square of the gummed part of a rolling paper & use it to cover or partly cover the stem air intake/carb, got me wondering if that would work on the anvil WPA to make it hit the same as my closed off USA. Might get too hot for the paper though dunno... best solution obviously is to just get a dyna WPA & use w my USA but might try this for shits n giggles in the meantime & see.....
