I was also trying to find out more about the loading and unloading of the ceramic capsule. I've only gone through a handful of pages, but for the 8 and 9 you need to take out the capsule, then load it and put it back? Is it possible to leave it in the unit, use a pick to empty out and load again?
I think I like the look of the 8 over the 9.

Yeah unfortunately that’s not possible, it needs to be removed each time.

In this version the capsul is the oven. It sits right in the heating coil. It’s hard to show in the photo but it sits rather deep.

Somebody asked about any deals for fw8 early adopters. I wish I could offer more. Here are the offers I can make for anybody who did the fw8 Early Adopter Special:
- You can trade in the fw8 and one battery for $100 towards a fw9. You'd keep the triple holder, charger and extra battery (maybe possible to sell?)
or
- You can take $50 off a fw9 and keep the fw8
Also, if fw9 stays in high demand and sells out right away after each batch release, you will be able to order right away without having to beat the rush.

its an offer one he knew he had to make , which i guess its something if you think that way but na
but happy with the 8 so ill give it a miss , i think apart from the VAS kicking in ,but no a couple of other s coming out first
5th TM , Purple Heart if its nice for one , plus SnB we know whats coming

if it was better in anyway but its not ,looks so basic like the name says firewood
the 8 looks detailed classy ,BUT harder to make ,slow to make so i get it , 9 = more profit
going by the recast of firewoods the 8 was a experiment, a test whatever ,even a mistake
well iam glad i got one of those mistakes lol
one day a 9 if its even still around by that time , a year from now might be a 10 or 11 the speed went at this time …
so think ill wait and see If we get a stable numbered
to think when bought the 8 ,didnt need it but you think your supporting marc a one man business

You make some logical points. It sounds like you really like what you have. I want one of those! I have a FW7 now. Then I'd have the best of both. (Except for the USB-C charging!) For me, this quote of Marc's clears everything up. (Maybe because I relate to it so much!
