The Dani by Battery-free Ganz

How to get this fucker unstuck. I have v3 ti, second use after cleaning with iso. I tried freezing, freezing and then heating the tip, freezing and then heating as per youtube video from BFG with pliers, hitting the corner of cap on hard surface, water method. The threads should have some wear on then I have used dani more than hundred times. Wat do?

@TigoleBitties pictures and a few things that work for me .as I didn't like the intercooler floping around so I wedged it in the mouth peace ... the screw in ends for the tip and mouth peace do not come with and are not needed for a air tight seal ...... however with the intercooler stuck in the mouth peace putting 1 on it let's you to line up the the intercooler fin to line up and block off some of the air flow to the carb .the smalll oring on the tip side actually helps with heat transfer to the stem .... the over size o ring on titp [THE GREEN 1] I don't know that it makes any difference than the Recommended leaving the tip out 1 ring during hevey use .. however dose fix my ocd about tip not being complete pushed !!!!! Can't wait for you to get it in and hear how you like it....
Wow. Thanks for all the advice. Gotta admit I'm scared of all the "stuck cap" stories. Am I safe by just leaving it at least 1.5 turns unscrewed?

The main stuck cap was with the early caps but was more than 1 easy way to fix it ... yours will be a new model cap being IH ready.. I have the middle model that was resolved sticking .. but not IH ready! You should have no problem with yours
As long as you back it off .25 aka1/4 turn be for heating on mine 1 round is fully open I don't know if you can see the bfg logo in those pictures but I set mine by looking at the gap or drawing on it
So the other day when I took them.
I indexed the log logo with the carb to dimastrat that but I couldn't see it good I will be adding new pictures in just a few minutes to show better

I marked it but that that is tight no gap 1 round out with gap and then all it takes to be safe

Just managed to get it unstuck, had it in freezer overnight, then torched the bottom cap to bottom ring area while spinning for 2 cycles and after a little fight with 2 pliers i managed to open it up. Great success.

Yeah my v3t is pretty new & it still wants to get stuck from time to time, irks me really bad, there has to be a way to fix it & make it not possible to happen, doesn't happen on my anvil no matter what, someone here actually suggested earlier smoothing the threads out by folding a piece of sandpaper & sanding in the valleys of the thread & that sounded pretty feasible like it might solve the problem I think I'll probably try it out but i think ill probably make an ask fc post about it first & see if any of the other machinist/engineer types on here have any other ideas.

I don't own one of these, but have you tried threading it on just a tiny amount? So there are only 1 or 2 threads holding it on? Or does it not function properly like that? I'm interested in the Fusion but am concerned with what I've heard about thread issues.

Yeah you can't really do that it needs to be fairly screwed down for correct airflow, lets too much air in if not, you can have it backed off a turn or two from fully closed though & that mostly solves the issue but i find it still has a way of closing on it's own sometimes & doing it, like when im putting it down, or when it's in my pocket, the threads only have to barely touch the end of their range & they bite bad it's like they're so sharp that they really really want to stick. Apparently it's solved for the fusion did I hear that?

Little late but happy saints patty day be right back with a edit have the new model non sticking cap mine Is so loose it magically closes itself by the same token it's so loose it magically the Cap Will come completely off Just a depending which way I did the magic trick

With you vape cold tighten cap back it off .5 aka 1/2 a round or till spins freely hold vape upside down kinda like in pictures above give it a quick spin back and forth see if cap loosens ? If cap loosens try Reverse hold tip up twist if dose you just learned how to adjust air flow without touching the cap I was going to make a video but can't find out how to post it .
If not don't go take the sand paper to it just yet yes that was 1 of the first fixes and might have to . As a home remedy Is a paste made of baking soda and water Or a gritty toothpaste Applied to the threads and then worked back-and-forth But it is entirely possible your cap could be tightening itself as you're rocking the carb back-and-forth and no not just 1 or 2 treads hold id I count around 8 they are fine Machine thread

BTW for those with concern on purchasing 1 the sticking cap was resolved on new models and I don't know what user manual tell you to tighten all the way It clearly says DO NOT HEAT CAP FULLY TIGHTEN. @Stu .please merge this post

Received my first ever BFG product, the new IH Smooth Ti Tip Dani with metal stem. Alas, I had the Fusion in my cart and thought I could wait a day... fml.

Anyhow here's what I'm finding so far after a few bowls.

No issues with stuck cap, although I leave it backed up at least a half turn.

I find about 30 flashes past the click results in good vapor. Feels like wait time is a bit long when you're used to Dynavap tips but I think it's worth the wait. The metal stem can get uncomfortably warm after back to back uses. ABV comes out really even and toasty brown, complete extraction to my liking.

It's very satisfying to take multiple hits without reheating. Overall a really nice experience and I think it'll find a spot in the rotation. Maybe with Camouflet's new crazy fast IH a lot of vapes like the Dani will get even better.

Currently looking for something to serve as an insert for the Wand so I can let the Dani heat up hands free.

Edit: Cut a circular slice of cork (1/4") from a wine bottle and placed it underneath the Wand (Wand has buttons facing down). The Dani seems to fit right within the narrower circle of the glass lip and rests on top of the cork underneath.

Interesting I’ve heard mixed reviews on that ih cap recently so glad you like it, how come you didn’t get the fusion, did it sell out while you were waiting? I’m planning on getting one in a the next two weeks

I think I seen something about the BFG standing on it's own in IH heaters I'll try to find it ... unfortunately I have neither a IH cap or IH heater but I have parts for a 120w coming in and a just order a FUSION last night I will compare the vapcap systems with the FUSION and will be ordering a IH cap soon ... but with the IH-compatible caps being freshly released they might be a few bugs . But you didn't get the pre order for it so they may have work some out on yours ?? Maybe
On farther note I will be posting photos of me trying my best to make my cap stick I was not able to !!
@TigoleBitties I forgot to mention try it with the intercooler completely removed . And if you find a combo I have not mentioned you like on the metal stem please post all ways looking to try new Idas

Will do. I'd also love to hear if you guys think it's worth getting the fusion if you already own the latest V3 Ti tip.

another batch will be here early next week if youre in the US, I have the v3ti and i think its worth it for the airflow adjustments, short stem with mouthpiece, IH capability the new leather sleeve looks nice and it allegedly retains heat better. Ill be selling my v3ti whenever i get the fusion

I got my Dani V3Ti in the mail 3 days ago now, and it's been getting a real heavy break-in! I'm happy to say that it's been up to the task. I found out the little ceramic insert from the V3P's WPA attachment fits perfectly into the mouthpiece and tip adapter:

My biggest complaint is having no way to close the carb except with a finger. If I were using an IH I'd need that but using it with a torch is fine.

Can anyone tell me if the stem is SS or Ti? I plan to anodize what I can so that would be useful to know.

I use a Is silicon Vape ban 2 to block my carb off when I don't need it .. I have considered taping it for a small set screw but to lazy when rubber ring works lol I believe the ends are SS but think the mid sec is TI let me dubb check

So I got a Dani, got it second hand, if I am not mistaken it is a v3 SS. The silver ring spins freely on the cap, is that on purpose?

I am very happy with the device btw, this is not a complaint.

Both my Dani V2 and V3 SS silver ring spin, the V3 Ti and Fusion don't. The spinning ring doesn't seem to have any effect on performance so all good.

As far as model identification, the V2 has 4 cooling fins and the V3 has 6. The V2 SS and V3 SS both have thicker bowls with spiral ridges wrapped around them similar to the older DV tips. The bowls on both the V3 Ti and Fusion are smooth with close to half the mass but better air flow than the SS versions.

They are all very easy to regulate and get repeatable results and even AVB. If I had to pick just one though, it would be the V3 SS due to the size and mass of the bowl. A lot of value for the price.

Seconded on the steel v3, insane value and holds heat so nicely.
Other than the v2 the ss is the only 1 missing out of my collection I was hoping with the smooth TI and the FUSION hitting i would see some used ones go up .
But it seems everyone still loves them to much any of the models are worth the money in my appion and honestly can say I don't have a favorite one .
Dose the SS bowl hold more then the TIv3 ?
