***Gamers*** What are you playing?

Let's switch to some "old-school" gaming!

I added a new machine to my pinball collection: GODZILLA. The theme is based on the Japanese "monster" movies of the 1950's and 1960's. All the major monsters of the era are represented in the game (on the playfield as well as during gameplay), including Mothra, Ghidorah the three-headed monster, Mechagodzilla, and of course the big green guy himself, Godzilla! I grew up watching these movies every Saturday afternoon and it's quite a throwback to see and hear all the monsters while trying to destroy Tokyo. And get this, during "Godzilla Multiball" mode, the music of Blue Oyster Cult and their hit "Godzilla" comes blaring over the speakers!

The Long Dark.

It's hooking me in ways that I hoped Fallout 4 would but never did.

I love the focus on realism and ambiance.
Great game.
I highly recommend Green Hell if you like survival games. It also has great realism.
It took inspiration from another game called The Forest which was awesome too, but I feel Green Hell is a better game.
Although, the sequel to The Forest is coming out soon and looks really good. It's called Sons of The Forest.

Im still playing DL2. Finished the storyline but the gameplay is fun enough to keep playing (I have never continued playing after finishing main quest).

I did play some Elden Ring as well but when I bought it I hadn't realized it was From Software lol and I can't stand that when I die and don't get to my items back in time they're gone. But it seems more forgiving than the other From games I tried, so I'll give it a fair chance once I've had enough of DL2.

I think last gen didn't really have a sp rpg where you can get totally lost in like TES. And that's got that western visual style, that's also in fallout. I really prefer the way the perspective of the character and the way they move through the environment in those games.

I was actually looking at the reviews on that one (green hell), how would you rate the difficulty?

There are several difficulty levels to choose from. I think there's even a mode with zero threats if you just want to explore the jungle.
Or you can make it very difficult.
It's one of those games where the trailer doesn't really do it justice - in fact, the first video shown on the Green Hell Steam page is highlighting some of it's new base building features which I don't care much about.

It has a really great/trippy story mode (Jungle tribes, ayahuasca, etc.)
And then there's just Survival mode which I play quite often.
You set the difficulty and then see how many days you can survive in the jungle; using all different resources to survive.

+1 on Baba Is You.

Huge Zelda BOTW fan since open world let's you choose what you are in the mood for. And those temples have some great puzzles.

Is this a...what day is this?
Currently sucked into Sackboy's Big Adventure. I love platformers and enjoyed Little Big Planet 3 quite a bit. Now that Sony is finally putting some of its exclusives on PC, I have a chance to play titles I never could.

Sackboy is really lovely, I can't recommend it enough. If you're a fan of collect-a-thon platformers like I am, it's a gem.

Daaang that was fast. I am probably not even 25% thru but loving it.

Ghosts of Tsushima is another fabulous one on the level of GoW and TLOU.

I don't really do side quests so that helps. Probably put in 25-30 hours.

I honestly didn't care for Ghost of Tsushima. Open world games can be hit or miss for me. I didn't like Horizon Zero Dawn either. On the other hand, Zelda BOTW and Red Dead 2 are two of my favorite games of all time.

Hmm, might have to check that game out. I also love platformers.

This is the most positive take on this game I've ever read or heard. Maybe I'll give it a shot if it's still on game pass, pretty sure it is.
Honestly this makes me kind of interested in it because fallout 3, new Vegas, and 4 we're some of my favorite games with the nod to new Vegas. I played every single dlc to completion along with the original game in one sitting without playing anything else which I never do.

My understanding is that in the first year of Fallout76 the world was very empty and a lot of people really hated it. They didn't know how to target the activity at first. The players have been pushing them in a direction that isn't what they first had in mind, towards cooperative no PvP play. It's much more populated with NPC's and events now. It's very much like running around in Fallout 4 when you are doing misc quests.

@Abele Rizieri Ferrari , I've heard of that "Forest" game. I'm thinking it's a lot more fun than my game of "dodge the high speed traffic on the suburban streets without sidewalks".

Team NO SLEEP!
slowly stepping into some games after a wicked long battle with vertigo... starting with something familiar- Legend of Zelda. Amazingly fun and surprised by how much I remember... I flew through Quest 1 but the second time around has me challenged. It is quite refreshing to play this one again.

I highly highly recommend checking out The 3rd Quest. It was a 16 bit remaster of the original game that was only available in Japan for a very short period of time. Fans have translated it and made it available to the world.
