10mm mesh screens I imagine - seeing as the anvil uses the DV screen size.
They’re a lot more work to keep clean, though

VHB just released a portable IH.
i have the plug in 3D model and it's replaced the torch for indoor use in my home. I've only used my torch a couple of times since receiving my heater and all those times have been on the go away from my heater.

I can only speak on the plug in unit from vhb. But yeah, it's great. One hit complete extraction.
The only thing I've changed about my technique/session since going from the torch to the heater is that I'm heating for an extra second or two. Other than that the pack is the same and I kept the airflow where I had it.
I don't really have any complaints about it.
It's definitely powerful enough to combust but I haven't pushed it over the line yet.
The most effortless RTL hit I have achieved was with the UFO induction heater (paid about $99). Roughly 45-50 total seconds of heating, in 9 second cycles gives me nice evenly brown ABV. A few seconds more and it's pushing combustion.
I no longer use the UFO for the Anvil as I've adapted the technique to the Wand, which has replaceable 18650 batteries. I still use the UFO for the DV.
I use induction heaters for the Anvil exclusively and to me it is a great user experience. I've used 5 different models before settling on the Wand.

I had commissioned a piece from our boy @Aezhenn back in early October, and basically I just told him I wanted something Halloween themed, to sort of match the darker aesthetic of the Anvil… and man… did he ever deliver.
Function is just as good as the killer craftsmanship. I’ve been waiting a good while with this brand new USA kit and there couldn’t be a better pair. Im pretty sure it’s African Blackwood and stabilized boxelder burl for the stem, and Walnut for the pipe head. I’ve been staring at it all night and cannot get over it’s beauty haha.

I have been enjoying Anvil with this little straight can by CaliBear (mostly sold out now it seems, with discount code you can find good deals, especially with free international shipping). It's got the FOL perc which allows an easy draw from from the start and prevents the compromised heat retention with water pieces that require more of a pull to get the vapor flowing. And because it's in a relatively compact form the vapor reaches the mouth still full of that Anvil signature flavor

This set up has airflow control? How "open" can it get compared to carb'd vapcap, which IMO is way too tight?

Yes it does. It’s definitely more open than a Dynavap. I’ve gone back to a more closed position. Two much airflow dilutes the vapor making it more airy. I like the bigger hits and a slightly slower draw with less airflow gets the trick done. Even in this position it’s still more open than a Dyna.

Agreed. I keep mine on the most closed setting with the integrated stem, fully closed with USA (granted I don’t use the USA much), mostly closed with the OG airflow (don’t really use this anymore either). This is for native use.
When I was using the stock stem with OG airflow for water, I was keeping it around half closed, but I’m surprisingly fine with the wide open WPA.
Open airflow for native use feels too airy to me. I prefer the tighter flow there for sure.
