Herborizer corner

I would also worry about all those hot balls in something as breakable as that Injector glass on the Herbo. Troy at 420 Vape Zone has some horror stories about hot balls everywhere.

And pay attention to impact of flavor and airflow. The designer of Herbo placed lots of attention on most ideal airflow (with some sort of vortex whose name I am spacing on), and I think that this may be one of the big reasons Herbo is such a flavor king.

Careful now :)
I tried to do that mod with my well used Herbo but I think the heater is fused to the titanium
Oh dear not good, hope it still working good bud

Pretty simple, really. Just take out the big chungus bit with the grooves and all by loosening the hex screw that attaches it to the stem. After this, it's just a matter of popping the injector sleeve (carefully!) back on the unit and filling it with whatever you feel works best. I tried with metal ball bearings and glass beads and I thought the beads worked the best.

Depending on the size of your balls/beads, you might need to cover the air intake holes on the injector sleeve with a screen, but I never had to bother with this. The balls kinda lodge themselves in there and as soon as you have them "stable" it's unlikely they will drop out of the holes. As for the bottom bit, you do need something to keep the beads in there. A few different methods I tried was using a small lenght of stainless steel wire and wrapping it around the stem (as you can see on my video) or using a screen in which I cut a hole in the middle and slid that up the rod to hold stuff in. Both methods worked pretty good.

Try it out and see for yourself. I do think you will end up reverting back to stock as I did, because the herbo is just perfectly designed as is and I thought I was just making it worse with my tinkering. Hotspots can really be an issue, so watch out for that.

Good luck!

Cheers for the detailed explanation mate, much appreciated! Im thinking I might not bother trying the mod again. Im loving my new B0 and the Herbo offers something a bit different, so worth keeping it that way I suppose for variety. Let them both do what they were designed to do. Appreciate you taking the time to explain the mod all the same mate 👍

Yeah Ive heard a few horror stories, thats whats put me off a diy ball mod for so long. Like you say the herbo is a bit special as it is so think I will ditch the mod idea.

Hello all, just a quick question, I read somewhere that the analog herborizer Ti has a detachable cable at the Ti heater end, but the digiTi doesn't? Is that correct? I'm concerned that the digiTi cable could be a point of failure over the years.

Hey!
I own a DigiTi with non detachable cable for nearly 3 years of daily use now and I haven’t had any trouble with the cable. Would like to have the option to detach it tho… It feels pretty solid as the cable goes trough the handle protecting the real connection with the heater which is further away.

Good point. I don't think that I have seen cable failure come up as an issue with the DigiTi.

I got fucked when I had that issue of the injector getting stuck in the stand. It got stuck so bad it wouldn't budge and eventually it cracked under the pressure

Luckily the spare part isn't too expensive. But the problem is the joints are still stuck and now it's even more impossible to release the male joint (open to suggestions though).

(And the store where I bought it doesn't seem to have the replacement glass for the stand in stock so can't add it to my order either.)

Seems like these joints are too similar to handle those temp swings at high temp. Any advice on using the two together? Because if this is part of the deal than the stand is pretty much a useless product that is embarrassing to sell.

Hope to get it fixed soon!

Thanks. It came in today via herborizer. Unfortunately the glass is damaged.

The glass I ordered from you (the replacement glass for the injector stand) was damaged as well by the way.

I love my herborizer but from the issues with the glass I am beginning to doubt if the company loves their product as well. It's just shoddy and disrespectful to their customers.

Just got the new analogue temperature controller for the Ti, what temp are you running it, for those who own one.
thanks.

Depending a bit on herb and freshness and my mood I run it starting between 7.5 and 8.5 finishing between 9 and 10.5. Basically I do sessions that slide 1.5 over the dial, no lower than 7.5 and no higher than 10.5.

Ok thanks, i was dialling following the older controller and not getting any vapour, ramped at 10 and let it soak and i think it was over my standards already eheheh, dropped down to 9. I wll try next bowl at 7.5 then thanks and sorry for your glass. I always buy in doubles but i regularly end up breaking parts where i have no doubles…the price you pay when you love glass.

Will also depend on how far the heater protrudes and grind

Damn! I run it at just slightly below 5.5.

Or are you talking about a different analog controller?
@nasdri253 called it "new"... I bought mine about 1 year ago.

I think I got one of these newer analog controllers, too. I was trying (and failing) around 5 based on some past comments, and I also ended up between 7.5 and 8.5. This controller has a digital display above the knob.

is this thing on?
True. And the controller works well though they are prone to break. It's also got a digital display, but it doesn't change the fact that's a very cheap controller. They cost around 10-15 € normally, not bought in bulk. This here has a herborizer print on it and you pay 64 € @ VDNM for it.

And I prefer the ATM from REFC over either of the Ti power supplies.
