What's a worthy replacement for the vapexhale evo?

I haven’t tried the FlowerPot Pro (although I use the FlowerPot VRod or ShowerHead all the time), but it should be another good option for someone who wants a solid desktop and doesn’t like the look of the other coil based stuff.

To me the best thing about the Evo would be the glass air and vapor path, but if you‘re good with some metal before the glass the FP/CC/etc. are some of the best around and the FP Pro has a more Evo like setup.

I totally missed the Flowerpot Pro! This absolutely looks like a solid EVO replacement and doesn't look druggy.

It doesn't look like it hits as strong though. I could be wrong!

I have a cloud evo, but I think the process will be similar. The sensor is what I really need to replace (or bypass, it seems).
Wow-just discovered they are out of business. My Evo is still going strong, but should it break, what does anyone recommend to replace it?
I like using glass and micro dosing, so I am guessing the most popular choice -the Volcano Hybrid wouldn't work for my needs?

As an owner of both, I would say that the volcano hybrid is not a good replacement. It has a chamber reducer that maxes out at about 0.25, but even with the much, I find the results aren't as good as loading a full bowl.

Tinymight is actually a decent replacement, even though it's a portable. Other than that, I'm thinking one of those enano devices may be the best replacement? Anyone else with any thoughts?

I am in the same boat and recently picked up a herborizer Ti. I am really enjoying it so far, but it does not even come close to the EVO in terms of flavor. I think there really is something to the "all glass vapor path". I was all set to buy a glass symphony for this exact reason, but they are no longer available, so I may have to go DIY. Best of luck on your search. I have found the EVO is pretty tough to replace!

Have you tried the Tinymight? How does it compare to the evo..

Evo has never been my favorite vaporizer but when I got a Tinymight I realized very soon it was very similar to a portable Evo.
They both don't work well with large doses unless you like stirring your load. Otherwise they hit very similarly.

I currently have the evo. I dont need massive load so its fine. Would it be worth getting the tinymight?

That's your decision to make but I use my TM as if it was my desktop vape. You don't even need heatsoaking, it's ready to hit in a few seconds.
Imho it can easily replace a desktop.

I also have a TM and agree that it can replace a desktop. The quick heat, no heat soak needed, small bowls, and stirring necessary for bigger bowls are all things I agree with as well. With all of that said, I think it can be a decent replacement for an Evo, and the portability is a great plus on top of that.

I'm wondering if there are any log vapes with an all glass path. I'll have to do some research.

which do you like more?
Tough to answer. When I'm out and about, and don't want to have to use a session portable like my Mighty, the TM is great, as you can just take single hits whenever you'd like. At home, I default to the Evo, since it's plugged in and ready to go all the time w/o having to worry about batteries.

I'd say the vapor production is pretty similar between the two. Both need stirring when packing a bowl more than about 0.1, and the ELB of the Evo is easier to stir than the TM stem. Just a few observations.

Sounds like you should have already owned a log long ago then! Glass stems or WPA with small bowls is their specialty... E-nano/xl, Underdog/alpha, Heat Island/GTR, Woodscents (this one only comes with metal and wood stems though?) Then CouchLog and Musa and upcoming Zenith are different types of logs more injector style...

I think there really is something to the "all glass vapor path". I was all set to buy a glass symphony for this exact reason, but they are no longer available, so I may have to go DIY

I don't know, I never really got such fantastic flavor in my Cloud Evo, I don't think it was as simple as the glass path, I don't know it's a fine vape, but it wasn't hard for me to sell it long ago (I only got it when I was waiting for my beta Zion to be fixed, so when I had that back I sold Evo and kept the hydro tube)

Anyway there's no reason to be stuck on the glass symphony anymore these days, there are a lot of similar designs now, my favorite of which are the vapes from Cloud Connoisseur (Halo, Atlas, Heady Atlas, upcoming Zenith) but there's also new FlowerPot offerings and Qaromashop and OldHead too among the Pinky style DIY now... Vgoodiez sells some great kits!

I currently have the evo. I dont need massive load so its fine. Would it be worth getting the tinymight?

If you do not have any pure convection, on demand portable like the TM, then absolutely you should... The TM is my favorite, overall the one vape I would keep if I had to have just one, it is extremely versatile to milk low temps with WPA and dry glass for amazing flavor and efficiency, but you can also run it fast and hard through water of course, great with hydro tubes... The stock setup is effective, but I prefer to use it without metal in the path, so plain WPA and triple right angle cooling hook or other mouthpieces are the best and there are also aftermarket all glass cooling stems available now, along with titanium and wood, so many other options!

TetraP80 and RBT gear are also great, though harder to get, and I do still like the TM better overall (also love the firewood 7 for a different experience with some hybrid conduction, FW8 is coming out soon... And Tafée Bowle could be a good one too, hopefully they come out with a WPA someday, it seems so designed for hydrotube use!)

Yes, most of them use glass stems as the chamber and vapor path, the air pathway has to go through the heater obviously, which is a steel/ceramic cartridge heater that they pretty much all use, that is inside the core, which is typically made out of a metal shield, stainless steel or titanium in the case of woodscents, however Alan offers so many different versions of his heat island: You can get it with a hybrid glass core heater cover over steel, so that is the one for most pristine flavor purity in my experience, it is available in a small 3/8 size standard or the larger 7/16 size (I have the small glass hybrid core and the small standard steel core, I also now have the larger standard steel core, the glass one feels fancy as fuck, I mean they all do since they are exotic wood custom shapes I waited a while for with the wait list) Now he is also offering the GTR, which comes in either female or male glass configuration, so that has a glass cover around the heater core as well, it also uses a different type of heater core, but it is still mostly stainless steel in there inside the glass... The female version is cool to use with 18.8 mm male glass stems just like Tetra and RBT do, the male version is cool to use as an injector style vape (that means 18.8 mm female glass is your bowl, larger bowls capable) but he also makes such a wide variety of stem options and even further variations of these logs... Just email him Alan@toasty-top.com to ask what he has in stock for sale now, and/or to get on his wait list for an exotic custom build down the line... His website has been updated and is a bit more comprehensive now, but it's still best to email him for more info, and that's how you will order

Friend has an arizer iq2 which seems somewhat similar with the exception of much smaller bowls (size of our ez load lids) and having them open and inverted seems to be a slightly messier concept than the vapexhale

I'm surprised to see no one has corrected this - the way your friend was using the XQ2 (assuming you meant this) is actually not how it is intended to be used. Take a look at the product online and you will see the main bowl is very large and not at all upside down.

The original Arizer EQ is also still available and is 95% the same vape at a lower cost. It's a fantastic bang for buck option with fairly simple operation and maintenance.

imo it doesn't taste nearly as nice but my main vape for portable

disagree, TM is great but will not replace a desktop like Herborizer and Evo etc...That said, depends on how much flavor means to you

TM taste can also be affected pretty strongly based on the stem you're using. The shorter stem needs the stainless steel cooling unit or it's too hot (at least for me), but the cooling unit seems to steal some of the flavor. Using stems w/o the stainless steel cooling unit, and just going straight through glass with only a thin stainless steel screen instead of the big unit, results in better taste for me.

And best way to do this is with some sort of other cooling option, like the ideal for me is using with a plain WPA and basket screen, through a triple right angle hook, though I also have other 18 mm female cooling mouth pieces as well as aftermarket stems

Yup, great point. At home, it's easy enough to use all types of glass and adapters with the TM to avoid the cooling unit. I'm still searching for an improved solution on the go though. I may order a GRAV upline taster, as I keep seeing that come up in discussions online.

Those Grav stems get mentioned a lot because they fit and they do provide some cooling. A lot of people seem to say that they’re not as good at cooling as other solutions though.

Just using a straight stem with some glass balls between two screens should do a better job I think.

Yeah that one is just accessible and cheap, but I don't think it is a good option at all personally... I'd recommend Rogue, Good Vibes, and 508phineas for other TM stems

Has anybody tried the Ditanium as a replacement for the Evo? I saw it recommended in another thread, and it seems conceptually similar. No all glass vapor path, but it looks like that’s the case with any alternative.
