Let me know if you're visiting OKC in the next month or so. I can legally buy 3 oz per visit, with an unlimited amount of visits per day. I'm guessing the OMMA assumes I have a tremendous amount of pain that requires a lot of medication. :freak:
don't have a visa, yet, to USA but once I can I'll come visit OKC and Maine :brow:
and the Lilach Diesel sounds/looks awesome!

I would imagine OK has had a very significant increase in tourism since they became the center of the cannabis world in the US. Personally I had never dreamed of going there, but I have given it serious thought lately. Tulsa is about 700 miles away. Prices here in Illinois are still quite nuts.
That being said, at least it is legal here now and I don't have to watch for the man all the time...

Well, on a trip to USA you could do a lot better than a visit to Oklahoma! I'm sure some parts of it and some of the folks there are just lovely, but there are reasons we call it a "flyover" state! I drove across once...

I have never heard the sentence, "I'm vacationing in Oklahoma this year!"

But if you want to see mile after mile of heartland farmland and apparently a lot of suspicious-looking greenhouses, this is a prime spot. ;)

Yo, thanks, where do you recommend? California or so?
I agree there's not a lot to do or see in Oklahoma, but you can have fun anywhere if you know what to do. Everyone's situation and desires are different. Some folks have never been to the Smithsonian, or Las Vegas, or the big apple, etc. Most of the historic places are crowded tourist traps, lotsa homeless, severe drought, etc. Adventuresome tourists with time can experience amazing scenery from the mid continent to the Pacific. Nextdoor Arkansas is also scenic and good travel value. Growing Oklahoma offers pretty good value for comfortable living, healthy environment, outdoor sports (golf, lakes, motorcycling, cultivation, etc:leaf:).

I live about 4 hours from Tulsa. Visited last spring with a 30 day temp card and hit up all the supposed best shops in the area (flower only). While the prices were WAY better than what I was buying in Missouri at the time (as well as Illinois), I didn't think the quality was THAT much better. A common phrase I commonly heard was, "oh yeah, we're definitely on par w/ some of the best shops in Colorado & the West Coast". Price wise maybe. :ko:

Sorry if I'm leading things off-topic here.
I think you should plan your trip around things you'd like to see and do. It must be about more than inexpensive, plentiful flower, no? Unless you plan to stuff a suitcase to take home...
Summer or winter, beach or skiing, where are any people you know, etc.?
I do know that it's pretty chill in NY these days.

I assume gray market? I have a med card and it’s $350+ at any dispensary.
In NYC I've seen as low as $150/oz in a gray market storefront operation (Empire Cannabis). Their 'member fee' and some tax add about $28 to that. Their $260/oz material is """on par""" with stores I've visited in highly controlled Massachusetts. They have two pleasant locations in lower Manhattan.
NYC is also dotted with food-truck type operations, like Uncle Bud's
Depending where you are in NY, there are other similar stores. I read about one in Ithaca, for example, and lots about sale of cannabis at general stores, even gas station stores on Native American lands.

I think the dispensaries in NY are just trying to squeeze some last hoorah money out before competition grows in the legal rec markets. Legal rec sales could begin in NY as early as the end of this year.

So with all the growers in OK, legal and less so, is there any effort to evaluate the product by the govt or any "authority" they may have created for that purpose? In Illinois, for example, where the law was designed to have very close control by an agency empowered by the state govt to protect the consumer, all the cannabis in all of it's (legal) forms must be inspected for mold and pesticides and content (thc, cbd, etc). I will attach what a label looks like here as an example. The first one is from concentrate and the second is from some gummies (that I haven't tried yet).

My guess is that even if an organization to check the "purity" of product exists in OK, it would be overwhelmed by the sheer number of growers and product in the market.

I have thought about this often but not yet acted. I don't really know how your pricing is, and I'm sure it isn't like OK, but it is very likely to be better than ours...

From what I understand, Everything that is Sold in Oklahoma Dispensary's Must be Produced in Oklahoma. All is tested for contamination, i.e. Mold, Pesticides, etc. Date of production, Source, THC-TERPENES %'s.

Yes, in theory it's all supposed to be fully tested, certain chemicals are prohibited, etc. In reality it's always buyer beware, there's got to be a lot of black market and interstate tax evasion going on. I'm sure I've been shown fake certificates and over charged. Everyone trusts someone when they buy weed, often with little or no background information. Some growers and dispensaries are both competitive and reputable if you're lucky enough to find one. Maybe that's a benefit of intense competition (cream rising to top, etc.).

I have had a look at the MI pricing and I think that unless I was getting a big quantity, with the price of gas and the time consideration I think going to MI would make more sense, economically and practically. And I would only need to drive about 50 miles or so in an unfriendly state, tho R Dean Taylor's song would be playing in my head the whole time.
