The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

So with the Mighty+ plugged into a 45w 15v/3a charger is it actually running off wall power? As in the batteries aren't in use at all when it's plugged in to the correct charger and turned on? Seen some mixed opinions online about what's actually happening with the M+. The manual says it can be used with completely dead batteries though if plugged into a super charger or equivalent 45w 15v/3a charger. If it can run only off wall power that's sweet.

I do not have the plus version. Why won't you discharge the battery, verify it and tell us. That would be sweet

I don't have a 45w 15v/3a charger and don't want to waste my money on one if it isn't going to do what I want it to. I'm sure someone in this thread can confirm.
Here are two FAQ's from the MIghty+ Support page.

Which Power Supply is suitable for the MIGHTY+?
The MIGHTY+ can be used with common power supplies featuring USB-C to USB-A. Depending on the current supply, charging will occur faster or slower.
For pass-through, a Supercharger (+15V @ 3A) is required, which can be purchased in our online shop.

Can I use the MIGHTY+ while charging?
Yes, with a power supply that provides enough current, the batteries are bridged and the so-called "pass-through charging" is possible. For this you need a Supercharger, which supplies at least 15V@3A. The "pass-through" function is confirmed on the display of the MIGHTY+ with the signal "dct".

This is a departure from the wording of the OG, which was more like, 'Mighty can be plugged in and used even when batteries are fully depleted.'
But that Mighty would cycle between being AC powered or battery, indicated by the charge bars either steady or blinking.
It appears that the + has more power coming in from the charger, making it (at least) that much closer to the elusive true plug-in alternative.

They are saying the battery is bridged, so would it work with no battery at all in there? it seems so...but that is still unknown (I believe).

Good question, @Cheesequake.

I've been using my crafty for a few months and today I plugged it in and the light flashes from blue to red. It usually only flashes blue and then green when full. If I unplug it and press the power button it won't vibrate or turn on. I checked the app and the battery is full. I saw something about holding the button for 10 seconds as it might recalibrate something?

Sorry man I forgotten for a bit that S&B stopped including chargers.

I have the crafty+ 1st gen and when it's hot, like after a session, it doesn't change and it is displaying an error message. If it cools down it is changing again.

So I am also interested if the new Mighty plus is changing whilst in use. Does it keep charging when it reaches 400 degrees?

I was initially confused because it seemed like the temp cutoff when I did a couple quick googles but it was sitting on a table all night and I just plugged it in before I left for work when I noticed it having a problem.

I will try the 10 second press when I get home if it doesn't work.

You know this is Mighty/+ thread, eh? Have you tried, maybe some Crafty+ peeps know something in Crafty thread?

Getting er003 with the new charger when trying to use the device. Guess that's what I get for buying a cheap knockoff charger lol. It does display dct like it's supposed to though.

I’ve gotten Error 01 a few times when trying to charge my new Mighty+ when it’s particularly warm. (This has happened with my old Mightys, but rarely.) Charges fine when it cools a bit. I have not tried to use it in pass-through mode yet….not sure if this is the appropriate charging setup for it. (To be clear this is using the supplied cable with an iphone block. I’ve also been charging it with an Apple cable and iPad block and haven’t seen the error.)

I’ve had the Plus for about a month and been meaning to organize my thoughts on it….but I guess I’ve been too stoned. One of these days!

iPhone charger delivers only .5 amps.
iPad charger delivers 2.1 amps.
Ask Cheesequake post above yours what charger he just bought?
I only have an OG Mighty.

New charger came in and it works like I hoped it would I'm pretty sure. Battery isn't charging when plugged in, it says "dct" before it starts heating up and can be used even if the battery is dead. Sweet!
So you can plug-in the Mighty+ and start vaping? Nice, especially if it continues charging when its hot.

Hey guys
first time user here of mighty + but not vaporisers in general. I also own a Minivap and arizer solo.
never did get on with the solo and the Minivap has been flavoursome to me

couldnt resist getting a mighty plus due to portability and convenience with dosing capsules. felt it was better to go for this over the crafty even though crafty was better for stealth and outdoors, just wanted more control vis the device rather than an app etc.

anyways..
I have read this Is normal but first thing I noticed when I was burning it in, when it gets to temp it has a clicking sound. Noticeable from approx 1m. Now I am terrible for noises, and this was a little louder than I would expect. I have read a bit and it seems some are louder than others but it’s subjective plus, people have different ears don’t they :p…I admit it though it wasn’t the best start

anyways, I can deal with that so gave it a good burn in on 210c for approx 30 mins.
used some herb on it, running at I think 178c and it have big Vapor hits but no terpenes other than it’s toasting the herb

if I run the Minivap on similar temps. It is really flavoursome and doesn’t toast the herb yet

i need to get used to this, so looking for some guidence on expectations and also temps
sm I just expecting to much to get terpene flavour from the mighty, or do I need to alter my setting as this doesn’t get near the same flavour as the Minivap. It does however produce thick Vapor and clearly Toasting well.

im a chill, taste it and work up kind of guy. So is the mighty capable of that?
cheers

Beyond the first few hits, I’m not sure you are going to get a comparable taste experience with your Mighty+. I own both the Minivap and a Mighty OG so I have experience with both. To get the best flavor from my Mighty I temp stepped from 350F on up to to 400F, going up 10 degrees every few hits. I get great effects but the taste is nowhere what my Minivap Teflon gives me.
As for the buzz, never heard anything with my Mighty besides the things it does when I don’t take a draw often enough or strong enough when I do. If it auto shuts off it is just a single press to turn it back on and continue a session.
So two vapes, two experiences. Try low temp starts on the Mighty as my suggestion and see if that helps.

Thanks. It probably doesn’t help I am a light weight and I generally hit the Minivap at low temps with whsipier Vapor where the mighty was giving more cloud but less flavour.
cheers

@Techmob I’m a lightweight as well. I can get where I want just using one dosing capsule going 350 to 370. It is pretty much the same as using blue and the next color on the 4 temp Minivap (version I have). No shame in being a lightweight. Enjoy the savings vaping provides even more!

It is how I get the most but others might suggest otherwise. I just think you’ll be chasing a dream trying to get the same flavor as one does from a Minivap. It is Mighty convenient, Mighy consistent, and Mighty easy to load but it isn’t Mighty tasty after a few draws… But when I want something that requires little to no thought by me, I grab the Mighty.
