That’s a style I like. I’d fill half of it up with some real Quartz balls and vape it dry. Good luck with it!

Yes I've seen you do that! Feel free to share a link here... What size balls do you recommend using? The largest I have is only 6mm but I also don't have much of them anyway... I was thinking I would want to try something like that, with the blue and purple dry ash catchers I ordered from China through eBay (which have shipped btw) although perhaps boro balls would be better? Pretty close to quartz either way!

MAIN THREAD LINK BELOW…. I posted my notes at POST #20, same thread,

…mentioned you as I bought those QUARTZ BALLS on Amazon. They got expensive quickly as I was adding to the Herbolizer Glass Globe, like that one more then the SP globes that I’ve shelved. I’m still glad I went for the quartz balls, I seldom try to save money on things I BREATH through. Though it got funny as the globe seemed so small, I kept dumping in more packs of balls, and had to order TWO more times from Amazon, these round globes are like a bottomless pit. And in the end, I’m just over half filled, but after testing, realized I didn’t need to fill it full as the original author in the thread I linked to. He also liked to add a bit of water below the perc, to add some moisture to the vapor, in THEORY, but I didn’t think the added cleaning was worth it, DIRTY water collects… but DRY is CLEAN & COOL, this from someone that used to think using water rigs dry was……. Kooky …. But the BALLS are the MAGIC SAUCE. Good luck dude.

What still surprises me is how well the balls cool the vapor and how it doesn’t need constant cleaning. One of my first choices these days.

I used ruby, SiC and quartz balls in my Arizer stems...too much work to keep clean, even with a sieve.
I would hate to have to clean hundreds of them. :2c:

With the Herbolizer Globe, it’s easy to clean. There are two female 14mm joints. I leave the balls in, run my quick connect hose from sink facet, has 14mm male on end, goes into the male joint on the INPUT side, the open side you would load the balls in at first. Then run hot water through for a few minutes, then all some Simple Green Crystal, shake, let sit, then run the hose again. The balls can’t fly out as they are stopped by the built-in perc and stem. FULL DISCLOSER: The first time I did it, I had a major brain fart, and hooked up the hose in reverse, and blew 2/3 or the quart balls right into the sink, and a lot down the drain, that’s another reason I had to buy so many more packs of balls. In the sink I was able to recapture a bunch that got caught in the honeycomb rubber mat in the bottom of the sink, but it was so STUPID….

To dry quickly, I use an air compressor at a lower PSI.

The alternate way I’ve used, is pouring out the balls into a little plastic container that came with SS304 balls that folks use to clean wine serving bottles etc. I don’t use those balls, but container has a screw on top, and have little vent slots cut into all sides. I can wash directly in this container, then if in a hurry, use the air compressor, or if you don’t own one, the now clean balls will air dry in the container, I simply shook it now and then. Dump them back into the Globe. It’s more convenient to leave them in the globe, but if you don’t own a compressor it might take forever to completely dry. Now if you decide you like having a bit of water down at the bottom to add moisture, then it’s real EASY, wash in globe, rinse well, add back a bit of distilled water, and you DON’T need a compressor.

Works for me, and I try to find the easiest, fastest way to do cleaning chores, because I’m LAZY, and if it’s easy, I’ll do it more, and vaping off CLEAN surfaces is important to me and what’s left of my LUNGS!

I have had more than one mishap cleaning gear in the sink...thank goodness for S-traps!

I swear I've been watching vgoodiez site like a hawk all week. Been trying to get that GR large inline. Went on there just now and was able to add it to cart and checkout. Slightly sucks that I won't be in town when it arrives.

Won't suck when I come back home to a new piece and a 1-week tolerance break, though! 🥴:dog:

Good get; can't beat vgoodiez. I only use the large inline anymore and really like it with the Atlas, Anvil and Tinymight.

Yeah it is tough to find these orbs super cheap unfortunately... Happy I got mine, cheaper than that too, but quality wise especially I do wish it was even cheaper?

DHgate seller newpipes have finally admitted that they never had the color drop-down adapters in stock, after 6 months of stringing me along without info it took a dispute to find that out (had to have DHG customer service open the dispute for me since it has been so long and the money got released automatically, I can't even leave a review anymore) ... They claim they can send a similar style, so I asked to see a photo of what that would be, but I decided to get a different style 18-18 drop down from a great seller (allaccessary again, with another style 18-18 45° angle male to male adapter for my mouthpieces) and I'm also getting some fancy Rick Bird Barry drop down adapters that are certainly far from cheap glass lol so yeah I am still expecting to just get the refund for these other ones, who needs them! Sellers really should not be allowed to sell anything that is not in stock without making that clear, or provide tracking that is never scanned with replies of "be patient" and "that's okay", then wait 6 months and a dispute to actually say it is out of stock when I was specifically asking that question... So yeah just a warning for everyone to stay away from seller newpipes!

Meanwhile I did order this one earlier this week and it arrived quickly in just a few days:
So torus incycler, I discovered this blue/ opaque white hourglassy one here:
It is only $50 now anyway and they accept offers apparently...
Meanwhile, the clear klein incycler with opaque white and light blue accents, that I found, they let you make an offer on anything, with an instant counter offer, so could save $4, and get this piece for $46 shipped:
Screenshot-20220418-171706.png

I think it is the last thing on my watch list, for something new to try, in this unique style... Although I am supposed to be done damn it!! :mental:

And let me tell you I am very impressed! For the price it is very very nice, could cost twice that, glass is super thick, all around larger than I expected, can hold a lot of water, the opaque white is so nice with the blue, the mouthpiece is pretty big actually, enough that the flaring is reasonably comfortable for me and the tube is wide so airflow is good... The klein funnel has two holes opposite each other, cut at angles, so the water can vortex inside, there is also a third hole near the top, so you can fully drain the piece when emptying the water, a very nice thoughtful feature... Perc is similar to SOL seed of life with four holes in a diamond orientation on each of three sides, quite unique and effective although airflow can be a bit restricted so depends on the vape to get full recycling feature along with water level...

Only used it a couple times so far since getting it yesterday, but it was pretty great with Tetra and solid with Atlas, probably a good one to try for dabbing and I have a good feeling about Halo too! Fun ahead

FYI going to be listing some pieces for sale in the classifieds shortly: my tobaccoglass colorful pillar rigs and smokingbong lake green matrix fake RBR along with the glass99 ashcatch I think and Biao double gridded inline among other glass pieces (hook and cooler) if anyone here sees first

Picked up a Greek Glass Saki Bottle on 420, I was enjoying it until it took a tumble tonight 😢
ISadly glass breaks, that's why I buy cheap/on sale generally. On the plus side, the downstem appears fine so it's not a total loss.
How was the draw on the Saki bottle? It seems that I like a restricted draw.

It really chugs, semi restricted I guess. I think it's combo of the bottle being sort of narrow and the holes on the downstem are all on one side.

I was going to say yes it's got good flow, the mouthpiece is not too narrow, good size diameter, but the downstem only has two holes so it chugs well, the holes aren't that small though, it is not the most restrictive piece per se... (I'm not sure what you mean by the holes are all on one side though, my down stem has one hole on each side, across from each other, the down stem tube itself is pretty narrow anyway though)

Sounds like we got slightly different down stems, mine has 2 holes right next to each other. Odd, guess they switched it up for whatever reason.

No that just sounds like poor quality control, pretty typical, yours sounds like it was not properly done honestly... Probably random!

So I've been following this thread for awhile.. With that said I'm now considering 2 pieces by GooRoo Glass, the HD 3 piece and Large Inline Bubbler. Vapes I might use for either of these include, B2, Titi, Pinky, Dc Elev8r, Anvil, TM etc. I was wondering if anyone has tried both of these GooRoo pieces, and could comment on which I might choose in this tight race? Both look like they'd satisfy, probably couldn't go wrong with either but I can only afford one at the moment. Id be ordering from Vgoodiez, to avoid a potential wait on shipping from GR (rly can't beat fast free shipping!). Any opinions? If you had both in shopping cart, which one would you checkout to buy at the end of the day? Like probably anyone else, I love a nice chugging shredder, that milks up and clears with ease 😍 Thx!

My Large Inline from Goo Roo finally arrived after 3 weeks wait from Goo Roo directly - I did order on the final day of their 4/20 sale so I expected a longer wait. The quality is very good and the performance is exactly what I wanted out of it; tiniest bit of chug to get it going then stackin and shreddin. I just prefer an Inline style over the downstem style on the 3 piece but there are some awesome downstem perks out there to swap it up with - you won't be mad with either choice.

I have the regular 3 piece which is smaller, but I'd recommend the HD 3 just on the modularity alone. You can choose your whip or mouthpiece set up based on where you're setting it up today, how it hits with this vape or that. Or you can switch out downstme/percs as you wish. It makes the piece more flexible than other pieces.

I have both of these outstanding pieces and I find that while cooling the best of my glass, the HD3 is a little large for daily use. The Large Inline it's self is not a small piece, but it is much more manageable for me and it is my daily driver. When I clumsily broke the base on the Inline I found I really missed the piece from my lineup and grabbed another one on 4/20 and I am really happy to have it back.
The HD3 is a fantastic cooler and I love the removable downstem and mouthpiece. The diffused downstem purrs like a kitten. Being so tall the removable downstem makes it much easier to clean and I have several different mouthpieces I can use with it depending on how far I want to get from the glass. I somehow managed to break the perc off the downstem and ended up having to get another one from them for about $40, but finding one out in the wild is pretty unlikely as it is 10" long and that is an uncommon size. But the piece is SO outstanding that it was completely worth it.
You can't really go wrong with either of these pieces as regards performance. Both are good coolers and both perform very well in every way. I like to hand hold my pieces and the Inline is much easier for that as it is significantly smaller but is not a small piece, it is that the HD is a large one. If I could only choose one I think it would be the Large Inline as I never find it is too much glass. Sometimes the HD3 is just too much. The difference in the pic may not be that great, but in the real world the Inline is easier to manage. But in truth, if the size isn't a problem for you, the HD3 is a better cooler.

Wowee! Never seen them side by side before. I don't know if I thought the HD was smaller than it is or the inline bigger. Now I wonder how the std 3-pc would compare.
