I'm still a fan boy with very few reservations.
Now that I've found my morning cleaning ritual, and
occasionally pulling out the screen and torching it; I'm
almost bored with the excellent vapor and ease
of use.
I only turn it off at night; it's on all day, everyday
except when I had the heater issue which was quickly
fixed.
I still use my other heavy hitters and even my launch
box mainly to break up the boredom.
For now my VAS is dormant eventhough that Anvil looks
exciting.

I was interested in a Collyland piece,.....but I have two huge reservations, and dont have time to read through 200 pages. Can someone clarify two things:
1) If you break the ceramic ball, I don't see extras for sale. Is this $500 down the drain if you break the ball?
2) Does anyone repair these in California? Or if the heating element breaks, are we again talking about $500 down the drain?

You're fucked if you break the ball but you can get it fixed if the heater breaks

You can get the ball fixed too, either way it needs to be sent back to Europe, Felix can make a new ball to fit it, but it will not be perfect again... And it does cost money to send it back and get it fixed, I think it's $250 total? Seems like a quick turnaround for getting the heater fixed, I imagine the ball bowl would take a little longer though... Someday I really would love to have ceramic studio access so I can offer to make replacement, or even spare, ball bowls from people's VB/OABs sent in to California...

Most great, expensive products are serviceable; with spare parts available at relatively reasonable prices.
But, I'll take a pass on the Collyland vape. It's absurd to think that $500 is down the drain if my dog's tail knocks that little ceramic ball on the ground one day.

Hi Folks !
It is possible to remake the ball if broken but its not easy. Due to the shrinking of ceramic in the process of burning and the unigue fitting of
each ball i found it very hard to make it fit as perfect as it did before so the new ball cant be as good as the old.
We are talking about handcrafted ceramic pieces and i wish my craftsmanship would be so good as to have the abbility to make a new one as good as the old.
I am actually making a new model where the ball is not a ball but a "Puck" and that makes it much more easy to remake it because there are two flat surfaces where i can grind material off to the point where it fits. The two surfaces are also not parallel to each other but slightly "wedge shaped".
Theres still much room for new inventions as Axel and janine often show with their wonderful creations..
I can of course feel those of you who are afraid to spend that much money on a vape device and ceramic piece of art which is maybe only a piece of art with a missing part when the ball falls apart ..
When i make a new ball i have to build it, burn it, glaze it and then make it fitting to the vape. The process takes time and effort and that makes it unfurtunetly expensive compared to the price it had and in the end its not said that it will fit like the old one.
So i guess its important to get away from the ball as herb chamber to other forms more suitable for rebuilding.
I would love to add a picture here so u can see my recent creations but my options above are not available.. maybe later !
Beside the herb chamber theres still only one part that have to be removed from time to time (mostly years !) and that is the heating spiral
which is not only done fast but also cheap and to those who asked about a possibility to have it repaired in the US thers good news.
I found someone who is willing to do it and we are in the process. He already has the knowledge on how to do it and only needs the tools and some practice now. I hope he wont lose the motivation cause its not that easy to change the spiral
Anyway there will be a repair station in your country soon !
Collyland is constantly developing and i hope u will continue to join us in the process.

New VB came in the mail. First of all, love to the Collyland team - thanks for being so awesome and bringing the art to the vapor
It's LOVELY! I've also noticed some improvements over my March 2020 VB. The overall build is slightly more refined, angles more squared, the bowl fits even better and even has a little lip in it now. Mine is carbless which I think I still prefer the carb but it's not really something I care too much about.
In the sunlight it's very pretty with this speckle refracting light. Churgle, vapor, everything - the Aromatizer experience I've always known and loved. Can't wait to make a video about this one
After nearly 7 months of only DynaVap, god am I ever glad to have the GOAT herb vape back at my side. Excellent vapor, delicious taste, heavy clouds, and smooth as ever. Big love to the AoV/Collyland team

Yeah I use imgbb and you don't need to make an account or anything. The only annoyance is removing the url links from the bb code for full sized embed

Yeah that's what I do, it's easy to copy just what's in the IMG brackets, you don't have to copy everything and remove the URL, if you only highlight what's in the IMG brackets for the BB code... I use imgur if I want to upload multiple photos in an album and then just paste that here... @Bad Dog maybe you can score one of the b stocks on sale when they drop, should be a great deal!

I just bought a calibear fab egg (edit, for myself) and a Dynavap for a new member having trouble getting started with vaping so I've spent all I'm going to spend this 420, so stop trying to tempt me
