Cannabis Hardware (formerly NewVape) FlowerPot Twax Vaporizer

I’m really starting to think about getting a B1 setup. I don’t dab, just flower for me. I often find that my Alpha Dog just doesn’t give a big enough hit. The main thing stopping me is do I really need it or is it just Vas. Now that I can’t reach the garage to vape at all I guess I’ll have time to think about it.
Thinking the same thing! I might have to wait for the 4/20 discount though...

Had a bit of fun today.
I bought the new Weedeater head to replace my OG Flowerpot head, big mistake!! It was a massive downgrade from the FP as I had to run it hotter. A friend now has my FP and I despise him for borrowing it for almost 2 years now.

When I opened my drawer I saw the unused WeedEater and decided to mod it.
Into the workshop we went and drilled out the center of the W.E, talk about open flow!!
Bent a fine screen for the bottom and made it very tight fitting.
Filled with 3mm glass beads and adapted a screen for the top to hold everything together.

I am going to dub this creation The Face Melter.
Two bowls with enough herb to just cover the screen, one hit each, perfect light yellow AVB and super thick cloud.
Running at 325C for now but will be going lower.

Will post up some pics once it cools down and see how many balls it fits.
I still want to grind some more material away to make the walls even thinner.

I have to go have a lie down for a bit!

Just got my b1 today. Was supposed to be here tomorrow but lucky me it arrived on my day off! Filled it to the brim with 3mm rubies and turned my Auber to 700. Getting thicker and tastier hits on the b1 than I was on my Weedeater on 820. Now I just need a proper stand and one of those nice cocobolo handle. Shout out to Vgoodiez for the amazing customer service and the lightning fast shipping during the holiday season!

If you are bored and have some time, this is a worthy project and a massive upgrade to the basic WeedEater head.
Almost instant, thick vapor and load size does not matter. You can kill a tiny to fully loaded bowl in 1 hit.
Super free flow air that you can sip or rip.

Anyone else find the flowerpot, b1 specifically, to be extremely harsh on the throat? Out of all my vapes, it is the harshest by far. I even dropped it down to 600 and it is still harsh. It just really irritates my throat so bad. I'm wondering if the glass bowl would help reduce this some? I know metal irritates my throat so I'm hoping the glass bowl could help out.

I haven't had this issue. Actually so far it's been the opposite. My weedeater could be harsh as hell esp on longer draws. My b1 is really smooth in comparison. It might be the metal bowl, though I'm not sure how more effective the glass bowl is. If metal irritates your throat that's most likely also a factor. Maybe try shorter, slower draws?

Have you heard about the boom on Mizar 5?
Looks like your ready to zip off some fasteners with that @lazylathe though I'm more of a 5 point socket guy myself. Seriously though very cool ingenuity!

I finally managed to stack enough change together to get my own B1 diffuser headed my way along with both sizes of balls and one of those fancy cat wood handles. Now the wait begins....tick...................tock................................................tick :argh:

I haven't noticed any difference between the WeedEater and B1 so far, both don't trouble my throat and I can use them daily through a lot of water and cooling pieces. I use glass bowls exclusively, I notice a big difference in taste over titanium but I am not sure if they are actually easier on the throat. I typically vape between 575 and 600 and leave the head on the bowl the entire time, that gives me instant vapor so I can take short 2-5 second hits.

Today, I finally put the B1 together and like others before on this thread - wow, wow, simply wow. This is a major improvement and makes this an incredible vape. Flavor is drastically improved. Hits are very smooth much improved too. The original FlowerPot head didn't do it for me ... I love the B1. ... I may not be able to accomplish much else today but hitting it with Ice Cream Cake and a little dab of Do-Si-Dos is just fine....

I have the Auber controller and the power cable connection sucks. It doesn't really fit in snugly so there's a very small position where it's delivering power to the controller and the slightest bump of my table/cord/controller will turn it off. This is especially annoying since when I move the cable back into position it'll take quite a while to return to the temperature I had it at.

Do others have this issue and/or know a way to fix it?

You could try bending the pins a bit, but you could damage them.
If there is something loose inside, take a look?
If everything is good inside, and the pins/prongs are good, then the cheapest thing to do would be to try a different power cord. You may already have one from another product, these are fairly common power cords.

@fcmb try another cable if you have one on hand. Mine was like that at first but it turned out the cable fit was just SUPER tight and required more force than I thought was necessary to get in. I switched to another cable that went in easy and no problems since.

I have a FlowerPot bowl question - I'm finding the screen gets mucked up really quickly after only a few bowls. I notice that the titanium screens have small openings. Has anyone found other screens that have a wider weave mesh for bigger flow? Any other screens people use?

Happy New Year. Be Well.
