Volcano Hybrid

Hi Ted, imho the obsidian is essential to enjoy the volcano.
I love using it with the whip.at the moment 90%, also really milks op your bong with a short whip.
i do not use the obsidian when I use the bong.
Bags I use with guests. trough the obsidian.
I bought 10 meters of S&B medical tube, but have found out that I actually am enjoying the taste of a seasoned whip.
So I m still on the first whip, after possibly 3 pounds of herb. the obsidian keeps the whip clean from oil, but funny enough, does discolour the whip.
Its now almost S&B orange at the side you connect to the obsidian. but still 100%at the mouth pice end.:sherlock:.

Anyone any explanation for that?
Also Congrats on your Onyx:tup:,i think it looks so cool that I am contemplating spray painting that colour on my"shiny "hybrid.:freak:.
Thanks so much for this informative review! It sounds like an awesome accessory for the Volcano. I will be buying it tomorrow and really appreciate you taking the time to review it for me!

Is there a place to buy just this price or can you only get it by buying the full replacement chamber ?
I’d rather buy the housing and this so I have a second chamber

You can get an onyx hybrid for $475 just picked one up https://www.vapor.com/products/onyx-volcano-hybrid
I've been thinking about replacing my old Cano but I just can't make up my mind about what to get. The new Onyx looks nice but I keep thinking there must be something that has newer technology than what I've been using for over 10 years.

My grandkids keep telling me about "dabbing" and "e-rigs"

And I'd like to try some of the concentrates available today, use to like having some hash & hash oil back in the day.

Everyone here seems to have multiple devices, if not dozens, and I'd like to get something that I won't be looking to replace next year , besides the fact that I don't have much available space for storing multiple devices : )

Is there any single device that works equally well with both flower & concentrate?

Much appreciate any suggestions for a old "newbie" here at FC!

Hi John.
It may be a good idea to post this question in the "ask FC" thread, you might get a wider audience to answer your question regarding concentrate/flower vapes. :spliff:
I've linked it below...

PIU has a killer deal on the Onyx Hybrid $370.76 :o
That's like 47% off MSRP...Don't forget to use code VAPOSPY

Didn't really "need" it but for that price, I just couldn't resist!

Is anyone using the whip with a bong adapter and could give me a link to that liece? I'd like to connect my whip to my bubbler, 14 or 18mm doesn't matter. But I have the feeling the volcano whip has a wider diameter than the usual vaporizer whip.

This was going to be the first black Friday sale in a long time that I chose to skip picking up something at a discount. I am extremely thankful that I woke up Saturday morning and started browsing through FC.
As I read through looking at some great deals nothing caught my eye. Then I landed on the Volcano Hybrid thread. I saw someone saying if you get the new onyx hybrid for $370! I thought no way this has to be a mistake let me put it in my cart and see. To my surprise Puffitup had it on sale for $475 with a discount code that brought it down to $370. I could not let this deal slip through my hands.
I originally purchased the highbred when it first came out and it had bugs to get worked out with the app being canceled, the metallic dust, and the plastic housing melting way too fast. All those issues cause me to shelf it. Eventually they distributed the upgraded pieces that stopped the metallic shavings, and made the housings last a little longer. So I bought all new pieces and gave it to my sister who was currently using my old volcano classic I had given her several years ago.
Every time I would go over there and we would use the old volcano classic I would feel it but not be too medicated. Once I gave her the Hybrid I realized how I should have kept it because it is a freaking powerhouse. I have mostly only heavy hitters and every time I would visit and use the volcano hybrid I would be completely destroyed off of one or two dosing capsules in the reducer chamber. She loved it but the only downfall she had was it was to powerful. She has since learned the curve and enjoys it way better than the classic. There’s was no way I was going to take it back from her once I gave it to her so I’d just have to enjoy it when I came over her home.
Once I saw this $ STEAL I jumped at the opportunity to have it back in my fleet. In true PUFFITUP Fashion they shipped it out at lightning speed and it arrived at my home this morning.

Thank you to my Fuck Combustion Family and to Puffitup. You guys are awesome!:rockon::clap:

One more question did they really stop giving you a concentrated pad with the purchase of a new unit? In fact I look at the website and it doesn’t appear that they even sell it anymore? Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

they didn’t give me one with mines so I assume at least the onyx versions don’t come with them,

that puffitup deal was really dope, better than the $475 at vapor.com I paid but wasn’t about to send this thing back to get in on that deal 😭

Considering the price point that the Volcano Hybrid is in, I would strongly suggest that you consider an Herborizer. I have way too many devices, and although the Herborizer is not necessarily considered an E-Rig for dabbing, the TI version can be purchased with a different glass injector (it's like $20 more) that allows you to to dabs on the device. It is the best dry herb device I have, and is a very classy device as well in terms of presentation, footprint, etc. If you have any specific questions about what to purchase, where to purchase from, accessories, etc. please let me know. I know that Sebastien, the creator of the device (France) is not shipping any more devices, I think through the end of the year, but there are other sites that have them in stock. I purchased mine direct from France, and it is a purchase I have not regretted once since making last year.

The above aside, there are few devices that are true "dual use" that are great at both dry herb vaporizing and dabbing. I think of these devices the same way as my profession. I am an attorney, and although there are attorneys that handle criminal law, divorce, child custody, personal injury, and collection matters, I've always believed that I can be great at one of those areas, but when I start to put myself out as a Jack of all trades, my performance diminishes because I cannot be great at all of those different areas of law.

Vaporizers are the same to me. There are devices that are fantastic for herb, others fantastic for concentrates, but nothing that I think is truly great at both (some might suggest the Dytanium, which I do not have but have heard great things about). Personally, if you're wanting to get into dabbing, check out creamcityvapes.com. You can purchase an OG Puffco Peak (concentrates only) for under $200.00. It is a simple device to use, and if you keep it clean, it should last you a long, long time.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions for me.

Jerry said S&B are no longer including steel mesh "liquid pads" in any of their vapes. Their attorneys apparently feel this squeaks by the US vape mail ban, no liquid vaping possible, only the legal dry herbs they have always advised in manual

Edit: It's like an old school Soviet removal from photos move. No mention or diagram of Liquid Pads in any PDF manuals or product package listings. Question: Where are all the discredited, persona non grata Liquid Pads buried?
