the folks at Tafee have hooked me up on both of my last accessory orders...

I ordered one short stem, received two.
In separate order, I got a short cup and received two, plus a short stem, plus another grinder.

I am feeling loaded up!
Ok, now I’m really pissed off. I very politely asked about the free set they said they would send me 8 months ago, and every time I asked they said they were still out of stock, they’d be in stock in a month, and ask again then. When I’d ask again they’d tell me they had still not gotten in stock and ask again in a month. Now I ask again and they offer me a 20% discount code ( which they ask me not to share, which I’m actually stupid enough to honor) and in the meantime they’re handing out free shit left and right. In the context of a purchase, yes, but they made the offer.

i defended and supported them when people on this forum were calling the Bowle stupid and ridiculous. While I still think it’s a great device, I’m not so sure I can support it anymore.

I'm really sorry for you!
I really hope that you will also get the promised bonus.
that in the meantime many others are receiving loads of gifts, I think that's a big joke or a farce from Tafee !!!!!!!!

i can fully understand you, i hate too when people dont stay to their words

I am sorry I have not caught up on the last few pages...

@jbm What exactly are you waiting for? The cup, the stem, grinder, or something else?

I sent @jbm a PM, offering a stubby stem I was gifted by Tafée, PIF style

They may be having difficulty keeping up with emails? Anyway, I don't need two stubbys
That’s very kind of you, but that’s yours. I didn’t speak up because I wanted a free stem. I appreciate it, but it’s really the principle of the thing. There’s no reason you should be handling Tafee’s customer service for them.

As for the trouble keeping up with emails, this was a conversation over eight months, and they replied to every email I sent. To put me off another month or so. Culminating in the offer of a “personalized” discount code. In every email I’ve reiterated how much I like the Bowle. I’m actually kind of surprised how much they dropped the Bowle, erm, I mean ball, on this. Especially when I continue to see tales of their generosity here.

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
lazy weekend ....... nothing to do ............... what better time for a nice full pot in the bowle! slowly temp stepping a load of skunk haze and the flavour is incredible ! every time I use this vape I have to say wow was that nice 😍 so flavourful and smooth. even though it's not a everyday vape I'm still very glad to have it, bbqing has never been better. haven't used my other pots in months, I'm down to only using one and just maintaining it, emptying while hot and the occasional qtiping and switching screens to iso soak. I can't complain about much other than I want a glass mug but im sure it will come in time......... and maybe the battery  I forget to switch it off sometimes:doh: and I have had a few partial bowls because of that but that's more my bad than the vape lol. back to Bowle-ing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scored this '63 MC Escher chocolate box today. Icosahedron, 20 triangular sides, with 5-fold symmetry around each vertex, trippy. Originally filled with 450g of "Droste pastilles"

Good designs, inside and out

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
had another Bowle-ific day, grilling burgers with a beer in the bowle and a very full pot of skunk haze topped with a little kief ........ well actually bottomed? first I put just enough flower to cover the screen then I put a layer of kief and fill the rest of the way with flower. I don't want to get to blasted off to quick while I'm cooking or I might loose my spot and ruin the food, a major no no :disgust: !!!. its nice to baby step my way through temp 1 and 2 for most of the cooking then when I'm on my last flip I crank it to 4 and finish off the pot. buzz kicking while I put my burger together and eat.

so why not finish the day with the bowle? couldn't think of a reason not to! so here I am having my night time session with some nice Broken Coast-Frost Monster. nothing like a bit more than double your regular dose to make you say I fell good!

At the risk of infuriating @jbm further, I too had the @FlyingLow accessory order experience. Reluctantly (because of pricing), I ordered a stubby stem. My order arrived two days early (Economy shipping to U.S.), got a Stubby stem and they threw in a small cup and small stem, both mouthpiece options for both stems, an extra pack of screens and another stir tool.

I didn't reach out to them at all prior regarding the flaking buttons that I posted about previously. It is cosmetic. It is a bummer, yes, but the heater is still one of the best I've ever had in a portable so I decided not to fuss. I'm not sure if all these freebies are an acknowledgement of their stems being overpriced, but I'm pretty happy with this accessory order. Hope your last post means they're sorting you out finally, @jbm.

It is all perspective... I don't look at it like that.

I have extras, enough to go around and keep me satisfied. I am happy to help, looks like there are a few others that also may be willing to put up parts I don't have spares for.

With the amount of free stuff people are getting, sounds like they should just lower their prices and stop giving out so much free stuff, I imagine that would make more people happy... It would feel kinda bad to see all these postings and then get no freebies. Also kind of a waste to get freebies you don't need.

Well, they did indeed ship me a short stem and glass. I can only think that they did this based on my posting here, since they didn't contact me to say they were sending a package, nor was there any note in the box. Why they didn't just do this months ago is beyond me. Would it have killed them to SAY something? It's like here, now shut up.

That's not really the issue here. To recap, I had contacted them asking if they were going to sell a short stem and glassware as an accessory. I said that if and when they did I would be happy to buy one. They said not at the moment, but when they did they would be happy to send me a free set as thanks for my support.

Sp over the course of several months, I would reply to the email they sent where they said it and ask if they had stock yet. They would reply "thanks for your support, we don't, just remind us." This went on for months. I didn't contact them and say "hey, I see you handing out stuff on FC, what about me?" I had been willing to pay for it in the first place. They made the offer. They kept putting me off, to the point where I had pretty much given up on the idea. I tried again for one last time about a month ago, and they replied with a discount coupon, which they were quick to ask me not to share.

So, whatever, and then I see yet another "Tafee hooked me up!" post on here, and that was just the last straw.

I've benefited from the generosity of this community, and I've also tried to contribute to it. That being said, I don't see why @ChooChooCharlie , generous as his offer was, should bail Tafee out of reneging on their own offer.

Hey how are you all? guys my Mrs got me the bowle for an early birthday present. I can’t seem to get the AVB very dark. I’m having 2 hits on setting 3 and one hit on setting 4 to finish off, I do normally try another hit but, can’t get anything. The AVB is a toasty brown colour. It looks like there is still another hit in there, to me anyway. You guys got any tips? I am absolutely loving this vape!!!

Hey everyone. I'm not very active, and so I'm sure my problem has probably been discussed at some point...

I've noticed that the coating on the inside ring of the stem is scraping away, exposing the bare metal underneath. This would clearly be in the vapor path. I can't seem to upload pics from imgur, or else I'd have posted them here.

I purchased mine through POTV. Should I reach out to their customer service, or Tafee's own customer service? Aside from that, what has Tafee's response been to those who have brought this problem up (assuming I'm not the only one, but since I only use mine once or twice a week I can't imagine I'm the only one).

You can use imgbb.com to upload your images and we can help have a look. I would start with contacting POTV, although this is likely a Tafee issue. Tafee has previously claimed all the peeling coating is simply a cosmetic issue, based on the fact that it's always outside the vapour path; however, if your coating is peeling in the vapour path, then that is a different issue entirely.

I'm still getting errors trying to upload.

Here's a link to the images.

Hi all !

I posted here a few months ago about the paint on my peeling stem, and paint chips that I found in the vapor path.

Tafee told me she understood my concerns but assured me that there was no health risk and that the problem was purely cosmetic.

There was not a lot of feedback from this on this forum.

While waiting for a stem - which I thought was stainless steel - I stopped using my Bowle for several months. I thought about selling it and even put it up for sale in the classifieds.

When the stem came out, and following my discussions with the company, I asked for a reduction voucher. The first was ridiculous. I cried a bit (which I hate to do) and the second was more than acceptable.

Upon receipt of the stem, I was (very) disappointed. I received a few more unnecessary items for free. Obviously, the stem is not made of stainless steel. But worse, the upper part of the stem is similar to the original one. And the lower part ... was already peeling at the level of the pin after 4 pots ...

I still had an exchange about this with Tafee ...
especially about the composition of the coating ... but I gave up ...

I really like this vaporizer so now that I have the new stem I am using it again but my doubts are not totally resolved.

For those who are wondering, the new stem therefore does not bring much ... given the minimal change, I can not understand such a big difference in price. and luckily I got a big discount voucher, otherwise I would have viewed it very negatively. I found that it cooled very slightly better but it's probably in my head ...

For the person who contacted Tafee about the pieces of coating in the vapor path ... I won't be deluding too much about their response ... although there will be a response (which I appreciate nonetheless ) ...

And for the person who was to receive a stem for free ... I will insist ... a matter of principle ...

here's not sure it's very interesting to share ... but I've been following this thread for a while without intervening so ...

I also notice coating loss around pot nesting ledge
Wear. No big deal to me

Don't believe any coating particles leave their home carried away by vapor as you inhale. I suspect instead that any particles missing ended up on q-tip

I made a bonehead move after cleaning once, forgot to replace red rings onto pot. Got near zilch vapor after huffing away. Because air was being drawn through gap between pot lip and aluminum nesting ledge, no o-ring to seal. My point is, with pot properly sealed, there is no flow through that gap. All flow is pulled down through pot and its screen, no "pull" to dislodge any bits from ledge area or interior side walls of base

Apologies in advance for these silly picture diversions:
