Old Head Hot Rod

710yota

Have you heard about the boom on Mizar 5?
Looks pretty dang interesting. I could see that big wood handle kind of getting in the way on a desk although it sure does look nice. I do like how they build that stand into the base for the controller, would be cool to see maybe a premium model with a wood enclosure around the controller as well.

Look like a cool idea and a nice collab between the two, sadly I understood that this device will not connect to a simple enail controller.
I think they need (and all other vape compeny who is going to build a desktop TED) to act more like Newvape or underdog or any other device who is not reliable only on the company specific controller, they need to learn from Enrico-sublimator "case" where the dude lost somehow the company with out even his fault and people who put there good hardwork money got fu@ked. personally I prefer vapes that even if they hit less hard (but still hard) I can relay on and not be afraid that if one of the electronics will get fu@ked or suddenly a new regualtion like was in last April this device will collect dust.

I do wonder how long this gap of wood is from here to here. I can think of a few of glass pieces of mine that this won't have the clearance to fit on unless you use some kind of drop down or extender. Not a deal breaker or anything, but if the lip was shorter somehow could be used more universally.

It should work fine with all the brick lineup, but could be a challenge with certain setups. Perhaps it is even smaller than it looks in the photos which always seems to be the case with my perspective and vapes in general.

Looks like that large looking gap is a bit of an optical illusion because of the angle. Here are a couple other angles:

This is nice, I always thought the TerpTorch was a nice design but this is much nicer.

Confirmed 110/220V compatible - IEC plug
Will fit any 18mm Female bowl like the TerpTorch.

Interested to know what the heat shield looks like.

I guess I donโ€™t HAVE to have one; the Terp Torch mates up nicely with the Runt. But I still WANT one anyway. if nothing else just for the scoop.

I had read someone somewhere mention using their Terp torch to heat their sticky brick. I thought they meant to put the Terp Torch to the glass intake of the sticky brick. That didnโ€™t do much, and I forgot about trying any further.

After seeing the Hot Rod basically comes with the same sticky brick bowl I already have, I thought to try the torch directly in the brick bowl. Iโ€™m sure others have already been doing this, but it works great! I have the ddave ti balls in the torch, and set it to 1 for huge, perfectly heated convection rips. This will hold me over until the Hot Rod comes out.

you want the wizard or the skull?
So is this an upgrade comparable to, say, an induction heater for a dynavap? Am I understanding correctly? Like torchless and no hotspots?

Edit to add: for a brick or a nova or something like that, I mean.

Canโ€™t wait for the release as I have been looking for a nice little desktop for the palor. Signed up,for the newsletter and announcements but canโ€™t find a pre-sale sign up page. Anyone got any info on how to lock one down?

I think so.

But if I'm not mistaken, I think you can use it on any water piece as it comes with a little wooden/glass bowl...?

Not sure I need this either but I love the old telephone design and that makes me want it.
