Sorry to see the LSV is being discontinued after all these years, unique and effective design way ahead of its time. Everything is glass on glass and rig compatibility nowadays. I have just rediscovered mine after giving her the LSV43 treatment with 4mm boro balls. 1 hit extraction and smooth as you like. The body gets a lot hotter so using it hand held is no longer an option but I lay her flat and use the long glass whip and a j -hook to bring it around to a comfortable spot to draw.
I would urge you to get one while you still can. This represents the end of an era in vaporizer manufacturing.
RIP LSV.

Tis is a sad thing indeed but on the upside Elev8r said they will continue to do warranty and repair work on the LSV as well as continuing to supply replacement glass parts. To be on the safe side I am looking for a backup LSV and a possible replacement vape with the same level of adaptability power and ease of use, I could be looking for awhile.

Indeed, and also a vape with the same level of airflow. The draw on the LSV is so open; most of the other vapes I use are like sucking through one of those tiny stir straws by comparison. The other 7th floor vapes have good airflow but aren't adaptable.

Shit! I didn't know that they were being discontinued. I have both a DBV and an SSV already, and I was meaning to eventually complete the collection with an LSV...but now it's too late.

I waited too long. That makes me sad

Heard these were being discontinued after being on my radar for awhile, saw them on PIU's winter sale and finally bit on the last black model...
All I can say is WOWzahhh, I think I've been sleeping on 7th floor for too many years... Very enjoyable hits with great taste, Elev8 was great and even have a custom curly stem on order. Its found a nice home as my laying in bed heavy hitter, however I got some funny "wtf" looks from the wife... She'll get over it!

I do have one question for ya'll tho, I was feeling great and fiddling with the power nob and pulled it off without first inspecting what the default OFF position was.. Would anyone mind posting a pic?

I set mine up so that the hash mark on the knob points at the LED (6-o clock) when holding the LSV upright and the unit is off. I have multiples so this is what I use as my frame of reference between them for consistency. It's pretty trivial to hit the sweet spot between them that way. Perhaps that will help you keep orientation when removing the knob for cleaning, et.c.

I am 100% in love with my new LSV! I've never broken any of my glass before, but the LSV got me high enough the first time I used it that I totally forgot the transfer wand wasn't held in by anything and accidentally sent it flying, alas, and it is no longer in one piece. I immediately ordered a blue conical wand from elev8, which came pretty quickly, so I've been enjoying it with that. And now I have the short WPA on the way (arrives tomorrow!) that I'm excited for! I'm seriously in love with this vape <3

I found a simple 18mm male to what ever size piece you have adapter works way better than the elev8 bowl.
Pop the small screen that goes into that wand you broke into said adapter.

The 1st time I tried my LSV it put me in a self-indulgent like comA!
It was like a mudslide car from the 70’s!
If the GUNNIS book had a category glass
I would win!
Most of my tribe had arcilic big gapping hole bong’s.
They still had seed’s 2 deal with?
2013 smaller mouth piece’s were more CIVILIZED 4 my liking?
Joint’s were the vogue !
Vaporizing is current?

I'll have to give that another go -- after seeing that recommended so strongly here on the forums, I picked up an adapter at my local head shop, BUT I had screen troubles. I have some vapexhale ELBs on the way, too, which should solve said screen issues for me. I'm such a completionist I had to get an official WPA to compare, haha.

If another unfortunate accident were to occur in the future you might consider the DDave package for the 7th Floor desktops. Some included parts are not ones I use, but other parts are just too useful not to have especially at the price. Good Luck and enjoy your LSV.

I prefer an 18mm m/m adaper over the cumbersome transfer wand, especially with a bubbler. The DaBuddha or SSV wands also work.
Congrats on your LSV. Good choice.

RIP LSV.
The 7th Floor DNA is strong.
The excellent Ditanium is a SSV with a titanium nail and carb instead of a glass heater cover. And it’s enclosed in a wooden box.

I think it's a shame the LSV is being discontinued and isn't being redeveloped as a temp controlled log or something.
The LSV heater cover works really well with a temp controlled soldering iron element in a log vape config (in a cup), which would go some way to address the safety concerns of the LSV and give the heater cover a whole new lease of life in a new product.

I've made that using a 936D temp controlled soldering iron, an LSV heater cover, some cork, a cup, some SS sheet to line the cup, 2.5mm beads, and some screens to hold the beads in - which works really well, is smaller than LSV in the hand so it's safer/easier to use on a bong, doesn't get hot to the touch after 24hrs at temp (oops lol), sits on the table like a log and offers some protection if it gets knocked over ....

I know I'd pick up an LSV V2 if it was made smaller in log vape format. Like a small DBV with a top joint. The unwieldy nature of the LSV always put me off, even though I really like it (and all 7th floor stuff).

Sure, the market designs are going toward the cheaper to produce "exposed hot coil around glass", but I'd like to see something more refined.

Get a Da Buddha and replace the heater cover with one off an LSV. You might find it helpful to adjust the height of the heater, your draw and temps some, but it works.

Dang, now that I finally have a GOOD regular glass adapter for water pipe usage, I'm a convert. It's definitely easier and more convenient than the official one -- though I have some techniques I want to try with that one, too. After not liking a couple of cheaper options locally and from dhgate, I decided to try one from Thick Ass Glass, and I'm sold. A regular little 1/2" screen domes and fits perfectly into the 18mm/14mm, and it just has such a nice, solid feel to it!

Now I want to buy more glass from them because it's just so SOLID, but I'll have to wait, le sigh.

Take a look at the Ditanium. It's essentially a DBV with a titanium nail instead of the glass heater cover. You can vape herb, full melt concentrates, or both at the same time.
