Healthy Rips FURY EDGE

If I turn the device on (max temp), hold it sideways and put my nose right above the air port hole, I get a distinct, instant "electric" smell that seems to disappear only from blowing through the heater. It's tough to tell if it reappears while vaping because of flower flavor, but not noticeably and the flavor on the drag is actually pretty good.

The device has been through 100+ heating cycles and has always had this problem. This is my first time noticing that it happens with every heat-up, though.

For a 2+year old F2 whose battery can only provide 1 bowl per charge, will HR allow for the 50% replacement (or maybe upgrade to Edge)?
Will they require device be returned before sending new one?
I'm asking for a friend and it's his only vape (no, really!).

Yep, you need to send it in to them for evaluation. Turnaround was pretty quick when I sent mine in. Upgrade to Edge cost me $79.50. Absolutely worth it, I like the Edge tons better than the F2.
Send them an email, it's on their website. I've always received excellent customer service from them.

Hey guys. I've been having a problem with my Edge lately. The plastic piece that the stem goes into won't stay snapped on while in use. It started to randomly come off during use, but has got progressively worse over the past months, to the point where I have ranger bands holding it together while in use. And, even then, it doesn't always stay tight.

I've tried cleaning everything out, adjusting the O-ring in every way, swapping it with the new one that was still in the box, but it doesn't help. I suspect that the little plastic tabs that stick out the side of it have been worn down from use, but I can't confirm this because I don't really remember what they originally looked like.

Either way, I'm wondering if replacing this piece is what I need to do? Has this been an issue for anyone else? Also, I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a solution for eliminating this piece altogether? Like some sort of stem/GonG adapter that goes right inside the chamber?

That was the same problem I had with my old F2, which uses the same snap-on type connection. I sent it to HR, they said the body was worn. Mine was out of warranty, see above.

It always seemed like a weak design point IMHO. It's going to wear with use, no getting around that. HR stands behind it, though.

if you have any glass attachments for the Fury2 vape you can use them in the edge too
here = fury2 glass attachments https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffcm&q=fury2+glass+attachments&atb=v165-1&iax=images&ia=images
they just sit down into the herb bowl , with no plastic mouthpiece fiddling around needed

I have the same problem I messaged Healthy Rips and they just told me to do burn offs but I still get that weird smell even after 4-5 months of use I think some of their devices just have that smell but it doesnt affect flavor for me so I think it doesnt really matter

Oh nice, I’m going to get one of those WPA, cause that’ll save me from having to mess with both this plastic snap on bit and O ring, as well as the dosing caps. Looks like the inner diameter would be a bit more limited tho, so I’ll prob just use this when I’m using by myself.

Actually, it seems like it is definitely just that plastic piece that was worn down on mine, not really the vape itself. Last night I remembered that the vape came with that other, dry mouthpiece attachment, which I never really used. I dug it out and tried putting it on my vape, and it snapped tightly into place! So, I just ordered a replacement for this other plastic piece, and hopefully that’ll.

the Fury2 WPA are the only ones I use with the Edge vape and the Fury2 ... if the WPA fit is a tad bit loose use a strip of cotton flattened and just set it on the side when you insert WPA ... be careful not to cram the cotton down into the chamber to far while inserting WPA and interfere with air draw .... as to lessened space inside the glass= YES and please and thank you LOL... that is one of the main reasons I use them is the low dose op allowed from them ... always trying to dose less as time goes on , the tolerance monster and such

How are people best utilizing this piece for concentrates and herb through water? I am sandwiching dry sift rosin between ground flower in the Fury 2 glass WPA and running the device at max temp (430F); I have not tried using the edge dosing capsules and accessories attachment. Recommended?
While typically without water, I've had good results with solid concentrates (either bubble hash or it's first cousin old school pressed hash) directly in EDGE capsules. Nothing to melt, no need for herb to blot up leaks (and you can use cotton instead of herb if that's an issue). I run 410F and get 'complete extraction' in 3 or 4 sessions which leaves an easy to clean out hard lump which doesn't stick in the SS capsule as it shrinks back making vapor. A gram of hash fills 5 or 6 capsules.

Remember, it's conduction and the capsule will slow that down. Go with longer 'heat soaks' between hits and sip at it for best results.

It should also work well for you? I suggest you give it a try and see.

Regards to all.

Hey guys , I would like to introduce you a glass and wood stem for the fury edge.
As some of you may know, I am a wood guy. But I really like all glass air path.
So I work with Glass Charlie to combine the best of both worlds.

The fury edge is a pretty good little vape and I would like to bring it a touch of wood, a way to personnalize it even more...

The glass tube is 6cm long , so the wood stem is around 3,7cm long.
Easy to clean, you even dont have to pull it away from the wood (but you can if you want to): a qtip or a paper towel soaked can easily go in the glass tube.

Here's some of the available stems:

From left to right:

- zebrano with turquoise inlay
-red amboyna burl with bronze inlay 1
-red amboyna burl with bronze inlay 2
-philippine ebony , amboyna burl with alu accents
-two tones cocobolo

I hope you will like them! Please let me know your thoughts!

Hello !! Sorry for the late answer. I don't own a potv myself, but when I look at the potv it seems that the accessory holder is not flat at the top.
So I would have to do a special cut on the wood stem to make it fit the potv.
The stems you saw are designed for the fury edge only.
I hope it helps :)

Today the paint stared to peel around the screen. 😭 anyone has this issue?
Is there a way to stop the peeling, and anyone has any idea what kind of paint I can use to hide the blemish?

Hi! Thank you for your post! We have been using the 'rubberized' finish on our devices for years. We have had very few issues, especially considering the high volume, but we are always looking for ways to improve our devices. We are seriously considering changing the finish to an acrylic paint (non-toxic of course) that would be more durable over the long term. We would very much appreciate all of your input in this important decision that we face.

Thank you in advance!

I have an idea that can help to protect device - even if we use the glass mouthpiece - similar to the retail silicone cap; I made a mockup in 3D.
Also attached a photo from the location of the "edge wear" (terrible pun, I know), most likely I scratched the surface when cleaned it.
The coating is flawless except that part where chipped down, but it bugs me every time I see it.

ps: I'm ok with the (matte) acrylic paint, if it is more durable 😊

Agree, the Edge needs a cover that fits the glass mouthpiece.
Edge is my daily commuter vape and I only use the glass mp. The silicone cover it comes with doesn't fit very well but it's better than nothing.

I love the rubberised finish, I would concentrate on the mouthpiece attachment material it feels cheap in comparison.

Thanks for this suggestion. Our team has been actually been discussing this idea for quite a while!

Thank you for this suggestion! We have tested other materials for the exterior of the mouthpiece attachment and they don't attach as well, or stay as cool. Further, the glass vapor path inside the mouthpiece isolates the vapor from the exterior non-toxic thermoplastic. I.e. the vapor only touches stainless steel and glass. Even though plastic does not have the same weight and 'feel', we can assure you that the mouthpiece is of equal quality as the solid alloy body. We believe that S&B came to a similar conclusion, as their devices also use thermoplastic for their mouthpieces (and not lined with glass as ours are).

We are always open to suggestions and will thoroughly explore any ideas that you all have. Thank you all again - keep the input coming!

Have an amazing day!
