Maybe a stupid question but gonna ask it:

If I turn the unit on and take no hit do I lose some vapor? What I mean is: Does it matter how fast or how much time you take between hits?

Yeah it is kind of constantly cooking, though when you take a big hit you do cool it down a little bit so it has to recover first, the heat up is pretty quick though so you could turn it on take a couple hits and turn it off take another hit to cool it down. I hope it is working well enough for you so far!

Hello,

So the best way to use it is:
- Turn the unit on by trippel clicking the turn on button
- Take some hits.
- Turn the unit off. How do I turn it off? Is it also by tripple clicking the turn on button? Does it vibrate when you turn it off?

Maybe also a not so easy to answer question:
I will use it on a temp of 190 °C:
- Is it a good temp to get good vapor and get the most out of the herbs?
- How many hits can I take on that themp?
- What is the best way to know when the bowl is finished?

I just orderd the dosing capsules on vapefully? I think it is better to use them when you are blind like me?

Regards

The manual says that clicking the button three times within two seconds will power the unit on or off.
The Edge will auto shutoff after 5 minutes, so there's some security knowing that.
The 190 is a fine vaping temperature. In addition to variation in flavor, in general lower temps can give a lighter effect, higher temps stronger, more physical. There's a surprising variety in the ways people like their vaping. You will soon find what works best for you with this one.
Dosing caps may be an excellent choice for you.

Also, keep in mind that the charge cable is usb type C, a different plug than the usual mini usb. Some people have reported that their Edge wasn't charging using their older wall adapters. Sorry I don't know more detail about that, but someone here will...

I think the best way to use it to preserve the weed is:
- Turn the unit on and wait for the vape to reach set temperature. I guess it takes 15/20 seconds, then it vibrates.
- Take some hits. Or just one if you feel so.
- Turn the unit off
-Take some more hits so it cools down and doesn't cook any longer.

You will taste weed flavor then "popcorn" flavor, when popcorn flavor fades, the load should be pretty much spent.

If this is anything like the Fury 2, the vape starts with the last vaping temperature you set.

Will it charge when I use a iPhone wall adapter?
Probably not. I suspect the iPhone adapter is 5 Volts, one Amp. Edge 'draws' 1.5 Amps, the source that the charging cable plugs into must be able to supply that higher current. If you try it it'll either shut down the adapter (to protect it) meaning no charging or (worse still) overload the adapter courting failure or even fire? USB C is different from the common USB adapters commonly used.

For instance these guys (rated at 2.1 Amps):

They would also charge your iPhone and the two outlets let you leave the two cable plugged in, saving that hassle?

Regards to all.

just stick with whats provided from the manufacturer
I think there's only a cord in the box, so you still need a proper adapter.

Hello

sorry for all my questions but:
When I receive the dosing capsules how do I need to put them in the oven? Is there a specific way that I have to put them in the vaporiser?

I usually load them with the lid facing up, but I think it would work fine with the lid facing down too? As long as the lid is secure, it shouldn't matter how you load the capsule into the vape, as the screen in the top and in the bottom is the same, just drop them in!

I know others (possibly including myself) tested out both ways (lid up / lid down) and there was never really a consensus other than, it works either way.
Just fill it up with herb - do NOT tamp down to ensure nice airflow, put on the lid and drop it in the oven.
Once you receive yours, try it both ways and let us know if you notice any difference.

Hi everyone. I just got a bunch of dosing capsules along with the Delta 3D capsule loader which comes with a tamping tool. To your point I figured tamping would reduce airflow, but I was wondering if anyone else has used this tool?

Hey folks, I decided to give it a good clean today and removed the screens from the blue o-rings and now I can’t seem to get them back in. Was this a mistake? Any suggestions to get them back in nice without killing the screen?

You didn't screw it up. The key is the groove in the blue gasket is deep enough to take the full diameter of the screen. Pinch the blue part to make the hole oval, then insert one side of the screen to the bottom of the groove, seating perhaps 1/4 of the screen? The gasket will not want to return to round of course, but now work the rim in from one side of the circle by flexing the gasket rim upward and outward locally, enough to let the next bit of the screen into the groove.. Walk the process around (be sure to keep the other end from popping out) until you have the last bit of the rim of the screen to go.

BTW, a handy way to clean the screen is to 'flame it'. Hold it by the edge (the tweezers HR sends do a great job) while you use a small torch type lighter to heat it up until it glows. This will burn everything off the metal, leaving a bit of ash you can brush or blow away. No solvents needed.

Hello,

I used my fury edge last week and I like it. But I have a question. Sometimes I forget the last temp I set it on the last time I used it. Since I can't read the screen (because I am blind) I read it is possible to go to the highest or lowest temp by pressing the + and - button for a long time. How many seconds do I need to press the button to go to the highest temp because that is the way I need to push the button less times to count to go back to a lower temp like (from 220 °C to 190°C is just pressing 30 times instead of going from 138°C to go to 190°C is more than 50 times) :D

Thanks

Yes it is. Hold down the plus key and in a second or two it'll start to scroll up, and will stop at max temperature until you release the key. You can then 'count down' again to your target.

Glad you're enjoying your Edge.

it is usually a few seconds from max temp back to say 370F . I hold down the minus button a max of like 5 seconds . I just counted it and 5 secs puts it @ 375 ... 6 secs is probably @ 370 F ... it will only take you a max of 8 or 9 secs to hold the + heat button to reach max heat @ 430 and then hold the - heat button 5 or 6 secs

Wanted to post my oven cleaning technique, for anyone interested.

I heat up empty oven (anything over 400 is good). I then alternate between an ISO soaked cotton swab (wood stems give more leverage for the more stubborn stains) and a water soaked swab. Be careful not to put your fingers too close to the oven as steam from water can burn!

I have been really lazy with cleaning my Edge, I was much more diligent with my F2. And I rarely use dosing caps, so the oven was pretty dirty.

After about 10 minutes of cleaning I wiped away most of the discoloration. After another couple of heat sessions - it is mostly shiny. I’m sure if I really wanted to take the time, I could make it pristine but it’s good enough for me as is.
