Verdamper vaporizer

I’m still debating if getting a Verdamper, full set or bong less.
I think spending 100€ more for the complete set would be totally worth it. I like the water pipe being completely cleanable, interchangeable if something breaks.
I feel like it could be my last chance to get one since stocks are so low.
Same regret as not getting a Sublimator when I had the chance, and now I’ll miss it for ever.
What I don’t like (other than having plenty glass already), is that with the complete set you always get the older “transformator”. It seems to me the 7-12V new one gives the possibility to heat at different temperatures.

This is true. Can you consider the newer heater which I know Vaposhop were offering? Would that not be available as part of the full set?

But anyhow, personally I would like to be able to turn the heat down if I owned a Verdamper. But most users are still seemingly not fully satisfied unless they cover the top to raise heat by 10-15°C.

I think you might be happy with stock setup and temp, despite the lack of adjustability which we have all become so accustomed to and demand in our vapes these days.

Or as long as there is no drawback, weakness to the adjustable power supply at the top end, if it's available as a full set, certainly an option.

I kinda like the idea of the temp regulation. Doesn’t it seem like people just didn’t vape their herb as dark back in the day as people tend to do now? Seems like that’s when flower vaping was really something special when clouds were less idolized. lots of emphasis on “full extraction” and one hitters these days which kind of tends to go a bit too far and destroys a lot of what makes dry herb vaping awesome. Seems like flower is way more expensive and those low temp sessions are harder to come by then those of yesteryear.

After my earlier thread attempting to find something to emulate my joint joking sessions; I finally settled on the Verdamper after @Alexis convinced me and.. that was the BEST decision ever, haha. :D I am having a blast and I'm pretty, pretty high hehe. I put in a minimal amount and took a very small draw and boy, did that feel good. Like nothing I'd felt before, no joke. Still going strong on my first batch two hours ago.

A few random thoughts, keep in mind I am a complete vaping novice:
- Barely had to put anything in, just put in a bit more than I would in the Crafty, so it's barely filled up, but it works with small amounts too!
- There is almost no difficulty to draw, and I instantly realised my long capacity is much worse than I thought
- I'm perfectly able to leave the heating element and the head on there for hours, no burning whatsoever.
- Very nice smoke, taste maybe not the best (although I have very little reference) but still nice.
- I think I must have been doing something wrong with the crafty, it burned my material so so much faster. Either way, means less technique is required with this one to get an acceptable result I guess.
- The overall feel, look and ease to use I absolutely love. Some other vapes I was looking at, just the instructions made me nervous to be honest.

The only, very very minor, drawbacks I would say are:
- Guide does not mention which setting correlates to which temperature, just voltage numbers.
- As stated by @The Chemist and others, wish the power stand was separate but do love the wood, very clean.

It was genuinely everything I was looking for and I am so happy this expensive purchase is worth it. This thing is so good it might even get rid of my joints addiction. Maaaybe.

If you have a motivation to quit smoking, health should be enough of a reason, just stick to your vapes, if you feel the urge to smoke a joint buy some new strains/concentrates (if you can) to keep it interesting or just vape bigger quantities to keep you away from the papers and lighter. In a week or two a joint will be disgusting to you. The more appealing high is just because of the nasty stuff you get from combusting, it should go away in a few days, your new toy should be enough do the trick itself if you like it so much.

Hello my Dutch friend, was actually pleasantly ajoyed seeing I had a mention from you, and reading your account here, was a delightful treat.

I'm really pleased you like it so much, alteady.

And for a vape novice, you show exemplary summary skills, interptetation, measure on all points. I agree 100% from 6 years use, years back now.

I remembered, the very first time I tried my own Verdamper, I put maybe a 0.1 gr nug of Durban Poison in...I inhaled...saw no vapor, but exhaled a huge, partially visible cloud.

I stopped- I had a bad chest infection strike, night before my Verdamper arrived, 24th December 2008, at 7 am lol!

What a Christmas parcel hey?

But severe chest infection had struck.

I tried the Durban because I had to, but being a severe allergy sufferer, that one, MINUTE toke, in Verdamper terms, I felt irritating my chest.

So I stopped. I was watching a film. I was astonishingly high, stoned, rolled into one, for hours.

I smoked joints for years, huge bucket bongs, bongs, chillums, pipes, etc....I used different vaporizers between 1999 and 2008.

But EXACTLY like you say above, hence refreshing my memery now....that first tiny toke on Verdamper, hit me in a way cannabis never had before.

I had to wait 7 weeks for my chest infection to clear.
I then vaped three 0.45 gram bowls per day, 11 days straight.

On day 12, at an appointment, I felt like I had been to a festival and taken 35 e's and 7 trips lol!

I used to do that stuff, (I still take trips) and those 11 initial days of Verdamper use had me feeling equally "rocked" as any other crazy psychedellic bender.

Another story though.

All you report, mirrors my own experience. You can use 0.33 grams a day, spread out, be pretty damn high, 24/7. With the least inhalation, stirring, loading effort etc.

Anyway, very pleased you are pleased @Clueless (ironic, modest and humurous, there are some dumb fucks around but no way you mate.)

Thanks very much for mentioning me and sharing, and fantastic write up!

The exact temp correspondance on your dial, if the adjustable one available now (mine was the OG fixed temp at 200 °C)....really doesn"'t matter, IMO.

Just play around, find your sweetspot.

Our bodily intuition will always serve us better than some wallchart with specific temps and effects etc, IMO haha! :)

I always see your great feedback on this vape but wonder why you use don't use this vaporizer anymore?

Hello mate, and wishing you well of course. I quoted you twice lol somehow, oh well!

Basically, I would absolutely be using this vaporizer now, except like the vast majority of excellent models, my sensitive immune system gone wrong, allergy lungs, just won't accept the vapor signature of the Verdamper vapor.

If I didn't have allergies, like until 2005, starting now, I would buy a Verdamper tomorrow!

I just have realised since I joined this forum in May 2015, ironically, looking for the best vaporizer in the world I could tolerate....I already had the best vaporizer in the world- just which I couldn't toleralte well enough, in an allergenic sense, unique to me.

I have seen over time, with refelection and others testimonies, how specisl the Verdamper unique high is alone. Ease of use, potential for group mega stoning, solidity, durability, and reliability are additional strong features.

Hence me trying to alert more people to it, knowing it is likely to bring great joy to the modern vaporist haha!

There’s still one online EU shop that has a glass less option for Verdamper. You can buy the 7-12V mains adapter, heating element and bowl without the need of getting the full set if you like.
www.shop.vivasativa.net
Please somebody get it before I do. :D There are just a few units of the 7-12V heating element.

I am on the verge of pulling the trigger, since I am in Austria and just recently got an old verdamper with a rough looking Steinel Heat Gun as a gift. I would love to get the Verdamper heating element to go along with it.

Maybe I even get the whole large glass Verdamper since the price difference is so little and then I‘d have different options.

My advice...Do it!

Regret not, and be pleased. And totally, if I was in your shoes, funds permitting, I'd just grab the full deluxe set. It's beautiful, functional, magical and simple.

Almost Shisha pipe like in characterband experience.

Just my advice anyhow. If you do go for it, please let us know innas few or many words. I at least, love to hear how vapes have worked for people, ESPECIALLY this one, Ya Know what I mean?! :brow:

I‘ve read through most of the Verdamper threads and your experience with this device is the same as mine: I‘ve never had a Vaporizer produce such a long enduring high.

The first time I tried the large glass Verdamper was at a hemp expo, where Evert himself demonstrated the unit to me. I took a hit and was surprised to even get high, since this happened in a country where cannabis isn‘t legal.

I foolishly assumed that the bowl was loaded with CBD - oh well. From that single hit I was profoundly high for about three hours, which I at first attributed to the vaped material.

However when I read your experiences with the Verdamper, I found them quite similar to what I was experiencing back then - not only was the length of the high remarkable, but also the depth of the physical relaxation.

I haven‘t used my Verdamper with the heat gun yet, but tried the glass in combination with a few other vaporizers. I hooked up an Arizer Air, a Dynavap Omnivong and a Mighty. The Air and the Omni didn‘t work well, since the draw resistance was a little too high.

The Mighty however was very delightful through the waterpiece. What really puzzled me, was that the high seemed to last longer and felt somehow „deeper“ - for lack of better words - than through my other waterfilters.

I therefore assume that the large waterfilter plays a vitally important role in making the Verdamper the powerhouse of a vape that it is. All the more reason to get the large Deluxe set :brow:. I still haven‘t decided yet what to get...

Absolutely agree with every thing @Alexis says about those vape..
I Would like to add: Welcome to FC brother!
P.s I also still got "The Steinel"version, it works fine and for a laugh I still use it some times.:leaf:

Thanks for the warm welcome! Good to see another strong testimonial for the Verdamper and that another Steinel Verdamper is still around. Do you happen to know if the new heating element is somehow compatible with the Steinel Verdamper bowl?

I myself believe this is due to the actual surface area of the vapor, by design and function of the Verdamper water piece and downtube.

More surface area equals greater absorption.

A longer joint will always get a person more stoned for the same reason.

I bought a new large bottle because I broke mine.
It seemed a bit small for a large one, it’s 32 cm.
They say they changed the size to 32 cm for the large one and 27 cm for the small one.
The large bottle is just like the small one with 2 connections.
Does anyone know why and when they changed this?

Yeah my large bottle is also 32 cm. What height was it before they made the change?

It was 48 cm, so I guess my downstem won’t fit.
Holy crap that was big!

It sucks if the downstem is too big to fit in the new bottle. You should keep it in case someone needs a replacement, you can always sell it.

Is the safety valve of any help?
I'm VASing over a complete Verdamper set, but I don't understand if it's better to get the safety valve version or not.
Do you get "vacuum" when inhaling from the Verdamper? So that lifting the safety valve acts as clearing the carb hole on an old acrylic bong?
This is unlikely since it seems to me the top of the heating element glass part is hollow on the top, but if the safety valve would help in order not to lift the heating element it could be a wiser choice. But in the end, perhaps it's still better to lift the heating element and place it on its spot on the wooden "transformator" holder?

I use mine to clear the bowl.
