I've had mine since their first shipment, I still use not near as much now that I have a fp. It still holds a place in use just with other options it comes down to how many cords and how big of a station do I want to use. For the price I paid I still love it. I bought a mic stand that has a c clamp. I clamped it to side of bed so its stable and i can tuck out of sight when not being used.
In the end to use TT i end up putting in a lot of work to reach the end goal. Stirring and what not. When TT said let the science begin they weren't lying. There are a lot of small issues and i feel like with some trial and error you could easily fix them.
Overall i think my complete thought on it until mods are tested and put out there for it is. It's very versatile, good production and density, but it's the kind of bowl you have to tend to and maintain to accomplish decent vapor throughout sesh. Reducer works well but when I use a desktop I'm usually going for the macro dose sesh with wife

YOU CAN STILL GO BACK IN TIME AND SEE FOR YOURSELF, MAN!

You havent said what we'd be looking for? Just some vague hints that 'things have changed', which is generally how things work over the course of nearly a decade.

Plus, I was here in 2012, lurking, joined in 2013.

When TT said let the science begin they weren't lying.

A lot of vapes go thru this period, where they either havent really been put thru their paces or the manufacturers thinks they've tested them fully but they havent as once these things go out into the wild, all manner of different uses happen, and failures and problems become way more apparent.

Im not sure any thread on here with a new release vape hasnt gone thru similar. The FP line, my personal fave, has gone thru many, many changes over the years due to customer feedback and their own redesigns. These refinements happen publicly and can be met with much negativity, but I also understand why it happens. And the end result in a lot of cases is a much improved product.

Let the science begin is more like 'let the mass testing commence'. Which side of the 'this should have been done before release' line you fall is largely opinion as we dont know whats gone on behind the scenes, just all guess work.

'Let the science begin' might be stretching the notion of teething problems just a little tho :)

Almost 3 weeks with the TT and lovin it! I put a quarter pound thru it already, exactly what I needed, a vape that can absolutely devastate me with 1 massive load all extracted in 1 or 2 hits, again, I grow my own up here in Canada so micro dosing and conserving weed is not an issue, I want a big motherfucker of a load so I can sit thru at least half a movie without moving.

This vape will be around for a while, it's my new best friend.

Yep, it hasn't come off rotation yet. I've brought out lots of other vapes to test alongside it, but right now it just FLOWS with my setup. I've dialed in the Elev8r and OG bowls and really dig having this on my counter. Can't wait for more folks to come up with tweaks 🤘

I been have great success with the Eleva8r bowl at like 760, what did you dial the OG bowl to?

OG bowl I hit anywhere from 4-9 depending on how much herb is in there and how hard I want to rip. Lower end for more flavor with less flower, higher end for faster extraction with medium size bowls.

That is how I meant it. I've seen it being used many different ways now.

If this was posted before I apologise, but I came up with a great screen replacement hack. I took the weird screen with the big holes out. I removed both sets of screen legs, and use 1 per screen. I used the original screen as a template and pressed a basic titanium screen onto the middle and poked 2 legs holes in the center, wear 1 set originally sat. Feed the legs thru and trim the screen using the original screen to make a perfectly round screen. Remove the original screen. With 2 sets of legs, you now have 2 perfect screens that stay in place, keeps your water cleaner, and torches clean easily.

Wow this thread was definitely hyped to start with than fell off the face of the earth. Just wondering if any one found some cool uses with the TT lately. I've been letting friends borrow mine but feel it's time for us to part. Just wondering if there is anything I can try with it. Heard of people using with sticky bricks n what not.

I got the ddave mod for the terp torch. I'm liking the ability to do one hits and not needing to stir the bowl. Using it strapped to the stand seems less likely I'll burn myself.

Man all that glass hanging around it would not stand a chance with me. I was doing the 18mm with basket screen trick to avoid stirring and it seemed to work well

Same. That's how I was using it until I got the whip kit. It sits off to the side while all I need to do is hand a whip to someone with a water piece. And those tiny 14mm baskets are awesome! For me it's the perfect one hit bong rip with nothing leftover. Seems there are plenty of ways to get ripped with the terp torch. I have a hammer style bubbler with an 18mm bowl for the basket and adapter coming from wish.

Well I got one heading my way. I want to try it with my Sticky Brick and see how it compares to using butane...
Someone in the shop likes to use the TT as the stickybrick heat source, works well but your mileage may vary. I personally would be cautious of getting the wood too hot.
Yeah all my vapes are on water pipes with whips. I was thinking about getting a bubbler like that for on the go events. Has any one tried their ruby balls?
We just got them in, and noticed a faster heat up time / faster heat soak

I haven't tested them enough to notice performance differences yet

Faster heat up n heat soak would be huge for me because I'm super impatient when I get off work and waiting for gear to warm up
