Oh yeah, sorry mate and thank you for summarizing it, am on a Smartphone right now and draggin myself through the Stempod and Tera Threads made me assume, that this thread is like minimum 50 pages long :D
Damn, kinda hoped for a good TC functionality, since this one would get passed evrry now and then so scorches would be a big concern if going wattage.
Guess I'll keep on searching, thank you!

I use a 18 with the supplied duel coils on 48-50 watts with not stirring or scorching.
I spin the mouthpiece each hit and it is totally spent in four hits max.

I run my 18 a bit lower, around the 42 watt mark, but also just rotate the stem (i hate stirring) and get a nice even roast.

Mrs.arb uses the single coil in hers at 28 watts.
Super psyched for the 22 to get here and a bent cooling pod stem for the 18.
So much variety in function and aesthetic is amazing no?

Hi folks, I could do with some assistance if possible seeing as the wife has said "Shut up and just buy yourself one..." or something like that, I wasn't really listening. :sherlock:

Anyway, do I need the 14 or the 18?

Anyone rocking both and have a favourite?

Thanks in advance.

I rock both the 14 and 18. They both perform great, it depends a bit on your personal preferences. I prefer the 18 at home because of the bigger glass cooling mouthpiece and the 14 for on the go because of the smaller size.

Another factor to take in consideration is the way you fill the bowls. With the 14 you can put herb in the atty when using the wooden mouthpiece, or in the glass mouthpiece itself (with a little domed screen in it). With the 18 you fill the wooden mouthpiece, a pod or a basket screen. Personally I think that the 18 is a bit easier to (un)load.

If you have Instagram then you could communicate to them directly. That's how I made my decisions.

Out of the Imp, stempod, dreamwood rcv 18, I would say the dreamwood performs best. The small wooden stem is very stealth and great it is held in place. The only 510 with better performance is my US splinter Z.

But

Ultimately I find the body separating from the base in my pocket too annoying. With so many great vapes out there is the little things. Great vape though.

I really love the new mouthpiece system from the Glow 18. If you look at the pictures then you can see that the mouthpiece consists of two parts. In the part that is inserted in the wooden base you can put a pod. On the other side you can put a mouthpiece of choice. This makes the Glow for me even more versatile.

hi vaporists
first post here, sorry for my bad grammar, but i'm not native language, so i help myself with google ;)
i've received my glow 18 from a week, and i must say it's awesome! i use it with pods and 40/42W , i attached a silicone tube to have a cool vapor, but also without it the vapor is fresh

and the weed come out brown/dark brown and fully extracted, and if you can use it with water filtration you can obtain awesome cold clouds

the pod system is very confortable, i rotate it in the bowl at 1/2 session, so i can vaporize both che sides, when you have finished one pod you can extract it and reload a new one, i have noticed that the pods fits in the glass tube too.
Very good job @Dreamwood

Well, after reading this thread a few times I've plumped for the 14 over the 18.

My reasoning being, I already own an 18 in the form of the splinter and that's a PITA to stir the load in the basket without me losing most of the herb on the floor.

I'm a one big rip and dump it kinda guy - love my elev8r for being able to sprinkle a pinch of herb on the screen and get the job done in one big rip, so hopefully the glow 14 can fulfil a little portable niche that way for me.

And there's a discount on at the moment and I got free shipping, so if all doesn't;t work out for me then i'll grab an 18 as well! (those 22s do look nice for the bong too)

Thanks for your help folks.

Now to sit waiting for the postman to arrive.

Awesome, hopefully it fulfills your needs 😊 I never tried to spent the herb in one big rip, but a water piece or cooling mouthpiece are probably necessary for that. But you own already a splinter, so maybe this info is not necessary haha. With the 18 I don't need to stir the herbs in the basket btw. The ABV looks very even.

What type of wood did you choose?

I went with the Special Oak in the end. (and a cooling mouthpiece!)

My 14 turned up this morning.

I really like it.
I can't believe how small it is!
I might need to get some sort of technique dialled in for the wood. It's a little too warm on the throat for me, but is good through water.
The cooling stem is good too.

And I'm really high! :D

After a week of use, I'm happy I have it dialled in.

Running 35W with the wood and 38W with the cooling stem (on the wismec dual thingy). The air hole is half open and I find that gives me a perfect draw every time without any heat from the short wood.

Bit of a shame the oak stem and the body don't match each other, but I can live with that.

I am a BIG fan of the bowl being in the body. What would make this even better is the ability to pop the cooling stem in a wooden adapter like with their 18 pod things they do and keep the bowl in the body.

I think the wood must hold some of the terps as there's still a hint of flavour to the bud even when it should taste like pants in most vapes.

Ooh and one last thing I found. My elev8r stem with a 14mm adapter rips such cool vapour on top of this thing. I think a J hook may be the way to go, no need for water cooling or bubblers.

I like it.

Finally got the 22 in Santos palisander and really disappointed.
Part of the order is missing and the two halves of the unit are so loose they will not seal rendering it useless.
The glass adapter is crooked to the point the unit won't sit straight on a piece and the top just falls off.
The cooling pod stem and long stem for the 14 are good.
Sent a email yesterday and no response from Joel so far.
6 weeks of waiting for a scorched base and zero vapor but hey I got half the Jack pods I ordered at least.
😟

That's a pity! I don't want to sound like a broken record, but they reply quickly on their Instagram page. So far the CS I had was the best I ever experienced, so hopefully they can make you also happy.

The customer service has started by ignoring leaving out half the Jack pods and claiming the unit is designed that way.
I already see they are going to say I used it and therefore it cannot be returned due to illegal substances(cannabis)being in it.
They referenced chamomile as what should be vaped........lolz.
They DID send a video showing how the dlx version works though so if I get one of those I am golden.
I reckon time will tell.

Hi all, I recently picked up a Glow Rcv 18 basic version (All that was available in the UK when I purchased). It comes with only the glass mouthpiece, which has been great so far (I added some quartz beads for cooling). What I'm wondering is, is it worthwhile purchasing a wooden mouthpiece direct from greendream? Or should I grab a 18mm nippled cooling stem (can be bought within the UK, so no customs/fees to pay. I do seem to use the Glow mostly indoors, so portability isn't a key issue really. Lastly, if I were to get a wooden mouthpiece direct from the makers, should I get one of the newer two piece mouthpieces, or go for one of the V2 stem that can hold the pods? TIA

I have the v2 wood stems and a two piece bent stem cooling unit for the pods.
The wood stems are a bit harsh being so short but work excellent with a 14MM water piece.
The two piece pod cooling stem I have is a little too wide to work with the pods(air goes around)but is really good without them.
No stirring just spin after each hit at 49 watts with the provided dual coil setup.
I love the 18's and with the extended microbowl stem the 14 is an incredible micro doser.

I took my Dreamwood rcv22 sanded out the char and replaced the glass adapter with a wood rcv14 mouthpiece and wrapped some Teflon tape around the lip so it seals.
Replaced the single stock coil with a pair of heavy Clapton coils put it on a voopoo 2 mod at 65 watts and we are cooking with butter.
Hits very hard but stays tasty gonna play with it a bit and see.
The extended wood mouthpiece for the 14 fits perfectly also.

Glad to read you found a way to get it working properly. I would never dare to sand it myself, but that says primarily something about my own craftsman skills haha.

I do not consider it working properly at all.
I do not consider it working and do not use it.
I consider it a waste of my money and Dreamwood lost a customer.
Me having to repair the damage from shoddy work then modify it to get it to work at all is BULLSHIT.
Still no tracking number for the half of my order that never shipped and zero customer support other than ship it back at my expense and we will think about a refund.
A simple picture shows the issue the fit is that poor.
Never asked for a pic or video though just straight denial so fuck'em.

Hello,
i'm sorry for your problems.

1. your jackpods are already send.
2. we told you to please send the unit back so we can check it. if its defect and our fault you get the shipping cost back. we offerd you a repair or if its broken a new piece.
this is one of the first 10 pieces made, i checked them all, i made them, i use what i make so i would love to see what is wrong in your opinion.
3. its not made to have the heater sit on the bowl, you need to hold the heater part in position, its too heavy and this way it will not seal.
4. if the bowl sits too loose please try to add a second o-ring, please and let me know if that works.
5. what about just sending a video and showing the problem. you want to have it replaced or just a second one? that i can not know from here. i'm sorry.

greetings
Dreamwood
