Nah, just the original ESCC. I haven't really been on Reddit this year so I'm out of the loop on the wax pen scene, but I don't really see the ESCC working properly without their dedicated mod.

The screw on DT SiC offering above actually looks pretty interesting but I'm just not a big fan of the flavor of SiC, I'd rather vape off alumina ceramic with true TCR than conduction heat a bucket with more conduction.
Got it :) ... I think the new ESCC is coming any day (apparently ... some have it in hand already);

Personally, I've never been a fan of vaping right of the alumina ceramic as I always found it impossible to maintain/clean when using w/ rosin, which is the only concentrate I have access to that I trust ...

Haha yeah, I've been hearing about it coming for a long while, I see no reason to hold my breathe but I'll definitely evaluate it thoroughly if it ever shows up!

I don't think alumina would trap anything if it was finely polished. You see the same trapped bits with anything without a mirror smooth finish, like Wik-Tek Silicon carbide and opaque Quartz. My original ESCC has a very rough finish for example that easily snags Q tip fibers. I can't recall if I ever used rosin on my V3 as its been a long time since I had one, but I used to use trim run, open blasted shatter which probably wasn't much cleaner from a residuals standpoint.

For me the benefit of alumina is that it is as close to instant heating sapphire as possible, and responds well to TCR curves as the resistance wire is directly embedded in the ceramic.

Yes indeed the Hubble Bubble is quite nice.

No splash-back, easily portable, great bubbling action, like a thick chug-chug action. Love it.

Should've gone to post office today, have a SiC cup waiting for me there.

In fact, I'm thinking I might go right now.... !!

Count me in for one of this Sic crucibles Matt!

Too sad, there is only the "cup by itself" offer in stock... Does this means I only have to remove a quartz cup from the donut and replace by the Sic cup? Tia

For folks having problems with their SiC cups coming off :

Here's a post showing you how to repair your SiC cup/heater assembly, should it come off:

Question: My sleeve keeps coming off, could you describe what you did to keep it on?

TheVaporNinja:

You can see the post about it by clicking here.

Also, click here for the image as to where to crimp your sleeve.

Read the whole thread, there’s some interesting posts there.

Careful with replacing the sleeve, only press with force, do not hammer or tap it on.

Click here to see a short video of how to press it on.

Always swipe out your Sic clockwise. Otherwise it will unscrew the nut.

All the best ! Good luck !

I hope this is some help to those who have an issue with their SiC cups.

It helped me, I've got it going , flying with colors.

One tip is to hand-tighten, when cold, the cup in a clockwise direction a bit snug. that'll tighten up that nut.

Cheers!

So.
When I 1st got Matt's Bottomless Banger, 90 degree, it wouldn't fit my V4.
Turned out I had a very early prototype of the V4 and they were a bit wider.
Also turned out I had to use the BLACK O-rings for it, because trying the green ones broke the banger.

I got immediate customer service from Matt as to what to do, and he helped me out.
Then I got the 45 degree bottomless banger from Matt because he was out of 90 degree's. Fit like a charm.
Works wonderfully, as opposed to this banger I got on DHGate.
Lots of people are advising folks to save about $13 and go with DHGate/Chinese bottomeless bangers.
Well, it may not be worth it. Not only does it take quite a while to receive, the customer support is far from optimal usually.
Not only that, but in my case, I decided to try one as Matt is out of 90 degree styled ones, and wanted to investigate the quality of it.
Well, as you can see with the video below, it's a bad fit. Made too large.
Now, I've heard plenty of other folks have a great time with theirs, so, don't take my word as gospel, or as applying to everyone, but this was my experience.

I honestly I think Matt deserves our support for bringing us the V4 and all its cups at such a low price and fast shipping. You also get tremendous customer support, and, if you're in the US, you are supporting your own economy base.
Plus, Matt's a great guy. Very generous and patient, innovative, friendly. I've enjoyed our relationship over the years very much.

So here's the video, guys, tell me what you think, I"ve tried the thickest o-rings I can find that fit the V4, and she's a no-go.

Here's my communication so far with the DHGate seller :

They seem to be willing to work with me, so I'm being patient.
I'll let y'all know how it goes with the negotiations !

Shout out to matt and DT, I love my v4. It's the only portable dabbing device I've used that holds a candle to an enail.

I drove from CO to MD this week for a relatively long term family visit as covid worsens again and I work remotely. Due to legalities and smell I dont travel with flower anymore, so when I go out of state I typically go with concentrates (though I pay attention to which states carry felonies for concentrates - as that is a thing).

This time I brought a few grams of live resin carts and 14g of various shatters, planning on using my new DTV4 w/ sic cup + hydrotube for the shatter. Turns out I packed my tube, mod, charger, batteries, extra quartz and ti cups as well as extra ceramic heaters and completely forgot my v4 w/ sic cup installed.

Just bought a second one last night, it shipped today. Kinda bummed I wont be able to use the sic but I gotta say I am super grateful they are priced so low, making it really easy to just pull the trigger on a new one.

Just got my SiC cup ... and cleaned it with some ISO and distilled first ... but no matter how long I clean it for, the q-tips keep coming back black when cleaning one portion of the outside and the outside bottom. This is all on the outside, but still I find concerning ... is all this black SiC dust?? I've tried ISO soaks, scrubbing, using baking soda scrub, hot vinegar and baking soda followed by distilled water rinse etc., and still the q-tip comes back black when cleaning one section of the outside/sides and the outside/bottom.

Yes indeed.
The SiC cup especially is a tremendously good deal.
The whole unit itself, is without a doubt, awesomely priced.
I use a Sai TAF at times, too. Also a great deal.
With these SiC cups tho, it's the best and latest u can get.

Monday night the new edition qq will be here and they will be up in site Tuesday. The sic for those is getting refined. Each adjustment I make takes one month for a new prototype

Holy shit balls batman, I ordered my new DTV4 late Wednesday night, it was shipped Thursday afternoon and arrived in MD this afternoon (saturday), like 2500 miles away. That was like the fastest ship time ever for the cheapest shipping option available.

So glad I can move away from the carts and dab like a civilized person lol

Got my SIC bucket, but so far I have to say I prefer the TI.

My rosin seems to last longer in the TI, I don't know why? The sic bucket is slightly smoother, but takes longer to heat up and is harder to clean. I will continue testing...

Also the whole thing is loser with the nut than the ti cup with cotter pin.
