I always get nervous about trying to guarantee fit ups with parts I don't actually have in hand.

Yeah I'm definitely going to look for video/picture proof online or confirm with the manufacturer first. The other issue is even if the dish's OD lines up the ID has to be perfect too. Those sizes don't seem standardized from what I can tell. Not seeing spec sheets anywhere

I thought for the hell of it I would post up my current setup and give out a few Kudos's. I call it the "Station".

Here's a look see...all pieces are in their "stored" positions while residing in a roll top desk.

The Mobius Ion Matrix is genuine. The Mobius Ash Catcher and the Bubbler are both Chinese knockoffs.

Bought the tray online somewhere and got the foam inserts somewhere else. This type of tray worked great for taming the cords. Depending on my mood, I just hook up for flower or for dabs.

I want to thank @Grinders for Life for the nicest grinder I've owned.

@maxvapor710 for the fantastic controller. Took a chance with you after the Hex girls disaster :rip: and glad I made the choice.

Both ( @NewVape710 & @newvape918 ) for both the FlowerPot and D-Cup setups. I've definitely spent more with you guys than anyone else...and worth every penny! Many, many months of enjoyment!

The only upgrade I would like to make is to move from my DCup to a TBucket. My DCup is one of the earlier models with the nut in the vapor path and the male stand holder which are both a sticking, cleanup pain. Plus, I'd love to have the TBucket to attach directly to my Ion Matrix from time to time. I also have one of the 'Obsidian" SIC's, and feel lucky to have purchased one before they disappeared...probably for good.

With 420 coming up, I wonder if you guys ( @NewVape710 & @newvape918 ) would consider some kind of generous upgrade program for any of us that might want to trade in an older DCup for a new TBucket? There is no way for me to afford to purchase a TBucket right out in the near future, but money would be in hand if some sort of trade in would be offered.

Anyway...just me thinking out loud. If it is not feasible, it would be disappointing, but certainly understandable.

I'm usually not this verbose on here, so seems like a good time to just say one more time...thanks again to everyone I've mentioned here for coming out with wonderfully innovative products and having what is almost as fantastic as your products...your customer service! Wishing you many years of health and prosperity!:tup:

Hope all my fellow FC'ers are staying safe and have no heartbreak among your friends and family.

The Original Vapester
FlowerPot is still the best desktop?
F
Best desktop. I’ve sold all of the other.
I agree it's the best desktop for me! I have several others collecting dust for the most part. Besides when family and friends are around.

If I can't wait 15 minutes then I'll just grab the Flip Brick or Runt and be done with it . No way I want to leave the coil running all day.

Had a 5.7 earthquake here a few weeks ago... Would have had a house fire also if I had left it running unattended. Crazy risk to save a few minutes here and there.
I keep my Flowerpot on until I know I am finished using it for the day. I definitely don't turn it on and off more than once a day. I turn it off if I am leaving the house for a extended period of time or when I am going to bed. I feel that turning on and off multiple times per day is more wear and tear. Rather than leaving it on until you are finished using it for the day. With that said where I live there is no threat of having a earthquake.

100 F delta ain't bad. My Liger 2.0...which is only 20mm so has much less surface area to radiate heat, I have running at about a 40F delta. But that coil is on there so tight I'm not sure I will ever get it off!!

D-nail Halo....dang, that was a a fight just to get the delta down to 150F.

To me, I just use the set points as relative temps and don't worry about actual. If it vapes and doesn't burn then its all good, brother.

Take care, thanks for the vid.

Do you/does anyone know how I would be able to confirm? It's like $200.
Ah....quartz halo is $90. Still a lot but....

Haven't seen this anywhere and maybe its super obvious, but I cut a random SS screen and popped into the bottom threads of the ShowerHead and it completely eliminates blowback of the bits of flower. Not sure if the WE or VRod have the same threading. But I'm super pumped because blowback was literally the one problem I had with my FP and now its perfect :)

Wow, why didn't i think of that (cause Baron, you are a moron! haha).

Great idea and I have ALL KINDS of screens so I'm sure I can find one suitable.

Yep, that's my one...well, not even complaint...maybe slight dissatisfaction. With the rig I use, I get a good deal of blow back if I pull the heater to clear. So, I just lift the cap, pull hard to clear, and recap before finishing my inhale so as to keep everything in the bowl.

I'll try your hack when I get a change. Great idea.

Weird, I have this same DHGate Mobius Matrix and get blowback. I wonder if it's variations in the manufacture or just draw technique.

Can someone describe “blowback”, I using a WeedEater. Thanks.

When you stop pulling, the water levels in the chamber and downstem equalize, displacing the air that was in the downstem. The air is ultimately pushed up through the bowl and the head. You may see a puff of vapor coming out of the head. If the force is enough, it can knock some bits of flower loose, and they can blow up through the holes in the diffuser and make a mess of your desk. The screen prevents the flower/abv from passing through the heater head.

Adding a carb to your setup is another option (air will vent through the path of least resistance), but is more cumbersome.

A plume of vapour from the top of the weedeater when you stop drawing
It's caused by the backwash as the water settles back down to its natural level in the bong when you stop drawing. As a result, vapour and air are forced back up the downpipe
The amount of water displacement as you draw, how quickly you stop drawing, internal diameters of the pipework in the bong, the draw restriction of the vape and bowl ... all effect the amount of the blowback

Thanks, I guess I’ll know it, if it happens to me, so far haven’t experienced it with my rig.

How much water do you use? I fill just over the perc and don't have anyway. Stereo matrix was bb every hit, especially people not used to it that would stop suddenly.

Also just over the perc, sometimes not even fully covering it. I also use a whip FYI

I have a Grav Upline Upright and an Orb from Half Full Studios. Never experienced blowback on either glass piece with the FP.

I have the VROD and with my current piece always have a little blow back but it has never actually moved the flower.

Also, new issue, I am realizing everyone's FP is this gorgeous like heat anodized blue color. I got mine a year ago, use it almost daily and can't get color on it. I left it at 900 degrees for over 30 minutes yesterday and it's still boring. I torched it a little to see what would happen and I was able to get the full spectrum of color on a very small part of it and don't know why I can't get it like that for the whole thing with the heat coil.

Been reading up on these all morning. Even though I’ve always been a portable on the go kind of guy, this could very well serve at my nightcap toy! Sleep for me is my kryptonite and this baby looks like the shot gun for not only that, but also FUN! What a badass set up! Efficient too! Might have to check this one out come 4/20! I’m guessing for those that finally decided to buy one never has gone back! Heard nothing but rave reviews.

Been running the FP for over 2 years now, over a year on the Vrod...and I keep finding new ways to have fun with it.

Finally tried the ash catcher/pre-cooler attachment with a perc (SOL with little lace perc), with water, that fed into a bigger rig piece without water...and it was great! It was like I got hit with a terp stick across the head. Flower knocked me out last night, not concentrates - which is a change!

Now when I get home later I want to try that SOL perc on dab rig, an older pyrology recycler, have water in both. Get some cool bubbles stacking with the lace perc, and then hopefully a nice tornado in the recycler! I tried just the vrod on this pyrology with flower, and it just didn't have enough resistance...and if I upped the heat, it became too harsh. Now we'll see. Been on my mind all day!

Thinking of grabbing a flowerpot when it goes on sale for 4/20. Just got an E-Nano recently, and now I need something that will get me super blasted, regardless of load size.

My question though, how much space does the flowerpot take up? I have limited horizontal space in my apartment, and trying to put it away and take it out each day would drive me nuts. I could always grab an E-Nail coil and plug it into the controller as well, so I can view it as combo dab/flower station, but how unwieldy is it compared to something like the SSV or E-Nano?

Watch a few video
Reviews. Doesn’t look too large to me. Especially if your rigs modest.

I have been, but most videos have them setup and sprawled out with every add-on you can think of. If it's just the controller and heater, is it that bad? For example, how long is the handle, is the heater stand huge, stuff like that that seems to go unmentioned.

You could probably benefits from just a solid portable it space is limited.

I already have an MV-1, Arizer Air 2, and others that I rarely use. I find that on the go convection is hard to do right without it being a session vape, and I don't have time for that. I usually just use pens/Sai when I'm out. If I was looking for a portable, I would've been looking for portables, but I want raw power.

Have you heard about the boom on Mizar 5?

I find my Flowerpot to take up a fair amount less space compared with using my SSV with glass especially because there is no awkward whip to set down between hits. You could also look into getting the PID stand or honestly probably just get away with setting the basic heater stand on top of the controller if you want to save more space.

Yeah I went from DBV to Flowerpot and I feel like it takes up a little less space and is slightly easier to work with although it is actually very very similar in size and method.
