Seeing an M kit at a local head shop at a great price. It looks like a basic kit with screens, orings, lighter, dynavap m I assume and a kinda flimsy dynastash. Could this be fake? A whole kit? Only had a quick look at it and was surprised by the glossy cap. Sound real? Any quick way to check?
The dynastash has a spinning cap like a classic dugout. Spoke in the middle and rotate 90 degrees to open. The dynastash I see on the site looks like a different closure.
The kit comes in a ziploc labeled dynavap. Like maybe the size a prepackaged ounce comes in.
Real? There are no fakes this elaborate are there?

There’s always a clone in the crowd.

Can you perhaps post some pictures of the package,
Especially of the VC unit?

The last copycat had an almost perfect facsimile M ( they however overlooked the necessary metal
Clickers in the cap ).

No clickly, no ticky.

That the package included a lighter is also interesting.

If the price is unbelievable, that (also may) be a red flag.

“Imitation is the best form of flattery.”

If the stash looks like a dugout, it is thoughtful, but not a Dynastash.

Is the seller/head shop on the up and up?

From your description, I would refrain myself (especially with the confluence of a
possible/probable pandemic). YMMV

G/L!

A question for any Dynavap BB9 stem owners please: any ideas on storage options for the glass stem, ideally with the tip on it?

I’d thought I might be able to put the stem in a Dynastash with the tip/cap in the other side, but found that the 14mm adapter was too wide to fit the stash unfortunately.

Mine fits in a 6 inch long doob tube.

I got it. Actually seems legit. 59 for the set and there is so much fake roor etc everywhere. He only had one with a directions standee so I think he just wanted to move it.
Doob tube has no printing but has little fingers inside cap i haven't seen before. Will get some pics. Lighter is vertigo

By “glossy cap” do you mean there is no logo on it. DV caps have a logo, and recently seems to be numbering the caps.

No clicker clone, no logo.

I swear by M&M minis tubes to store most of my stems. And you can usually find them in two sizes. They're not one hundred percent perfect for smell proof but pretty close. And surprisingly durable.

Thinking maybe it was new old stock from the older wholesale starter kits. I think they included 5 bagged starter kits Maybe that shop didnt advertise they sold them and it sat. Is it a 2018 starter kit? If so the price makes sense on a wholesale price if he just trying to make what he spent back especially if it was a 2018 kit in 2020. Still a steal of a deal though. I havent seen any clones recently so maybe they all faded out. Always gets me worried about some of the DV videos showing production. I know I saw one showing the machine that crimps the caps and the disc in place. I feel like the counterfeiters can see where they went wrong and try again. Hopefully not.Dont get me wrong I love behind the scenes stuff but gotta keep some stuff secret lol

A new approach from RBT to heat the cap, this one seems to be some kind of adapter for a 510 mod:

No, it has a logo. And body looks pretty intricate but I need to sit with glasses to see what year. But might be current. But the cap finish is glossy and I feel like my og glass and og m have a matte rather than gloss finish iirc.
Cant check for click yet but will investigate. Shiny cap just stood out to me when trying to see if it was genuine

This sounds right. Dynastash feels cheap but has logo and magnet. Shop said he got 3 kits and 2 were spoken for. Have to look close for the year

$59 is a good clearance deal. Remember that DV was selling '18-M's for $20 last year. And if it turns out to be fake, take it back. I doubt it is though.

'18 v. '19 is 3 notches at the rim of the bowl. '18 doesn't have them, '19 does.

Has 3 notches. I tuned out of the dynavap thread for awhile because I wasn't that happy with my original M and the way the tip was loose on the condenser. Just did not get the hits my og glass gives me. I feel like this one will hit better and ready to go and give another shot again. I remember people did not like some M tip recently. Was it the 19 that people did not like as much?

It was the m-19 tip that had a batch of bad tips get out with poor airflow. Correct.

Made myself some potent ABV tea today. I do 90% or more of my vaping with vapcaps, so it’s basically dyna-ABV. Tried a new method of simmering about a tsp ABV in water with a small pat of butter for 15 min then making tea with that water. (I am a bona fide lightweight.) Made 16 oz of tea, drank 1/3 and felt fine for hours.
Hope all y’all are enjoying your sundays

Just found this video and thought I'd share – a cool demo with a rarely seen Turbo Glass with the Dynacoil heated by an Apollo 2. What I find interesting is that she is able to run the (actually wall-powered) Apollo with a power bank.

The IH is dynamic and will use whatever power you give it as long as the gate circuit holds up.
I like the way she just demonstrated my point on real-time IH heating while drawing.
That Apollo wired to the power bank must be under-powered allowing for modulation. Or the Apollo is just a low powered IH. Who knows.

I'm not sure either, but since she's using a Dynacoil (which needs a bit more heat) and since she's chucking some pretty nice clouds I think she's having plenty of power. The Apollos seem to be a bit more tame than for example a Portside Mini, but considering that the performance she shows is even more impressive. That power bank she's using doesn't seem to be one of the regular ones either, but I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to those, so I dunno.

I only have my bone stock China IH to compare and at full power it is a hot IH; same as PSM and Caldren core design. By the time I sense the heat in direct-draw mode, it is too late; it's combusted. When I brought the power down, I could react in time to avoid combustion easily by modulating a switch. 2/3rd max power is about right for a responsive IH used real-time for stainless steel tips. Ti tips may provide a better heat signal allowing for faster reaction time or hotter profiles. Regardless, my comment on the Apollo wasn't to take anything away from it. It is carefully engineered and I am sure it is well up to the task. After all, Dynavap endorsed it IIRC. My comment was that she was able to modulate the power cycles without combusting the cap. Okay, I know nothing about concentrates in the cap, so maybe it is more forgiving also.

Bottom line; micro-dosers could savor the flavor using a 40 watts IH and really have control over their IH session. And power hitters like me can run about 50 watts in real time and manage temps very nicely. This takes combustion risk right out of the equation because you are feeling the heat in heal time. The IH is capable of putting out 100 watts with some solid wiring (120 advertised). Current limiting the power source will control the maximum output of the device.

Knowing if you can handle your IH's power in a direct draw is simple. The vid tells all. What you want to know is if you can stop the power in time to not combust. And the reason this matters is that the heat you sense is only catching up to the heat that has already been imparted into the cap and bowl. The temp is still rising. This concept is completely different from drawing slower so the vape can catch up. Now it is you that is being challenged. If the challenge is too great, reduce the power into the unit which can be done as simply as adding a long section of extension cord. That is what makes my 100W monster into a 60W runt.

Any one have any novel ideas for filling/packing the vapcap?

I use really small amounts, literally for 1 hit, so I can't just scoop into a grinder. I currently prepare the desrired quantity then just suck it up, but I'm looking for other options. I can feel and taste crystals in my mouth at times with this method. Not that they don't taste great, but it's a waste...

I guess a folded piece of glossy paper or something, and pouring from that, could be an option.

I learned the same thing when I used a glass stem for a short time. A lot of keif stuck on the walls. Don't they make VC-sized dosing caps? Now that would awesome
