Agree totally ... The Micro is definetly not as efficient and the name seems to apply more to its size than anything else. Probably not a great choice as a daily driver but for me its a must have for those "on the go" situations where this discrete little machine shines

After 6 mos. of use, finally started using smart paths in sequence (1 through 3). Got toasted AF.

If there are any Micro VIRGINS out there, the mIQro is on sale on the DaVinci website for $119. That's a terrific price!

Got my explorer kit today, and one of the batteries just keeps blinking 4th led when charging, like it won't fully charge.
The other battery charges fine.

Welcome to the fraternity! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble right “out of the box”. If you continue to have problems, reach out to DaVinci support. My experience is that they’re responsive, but may take a couple days. Prior to that you may want to try:
- doing a hard reset to the device (DV website can show how)
- when inserting problematic battery, ensure device is off charger cable.
- erm...

I'd suggest trying it out, compare run time of one to the other. My bet it a cycle or two and it 'goes away'. I've seen this before. Then again, I have a rig that measures actual charge current (and totals up the total recharge mAh over time) and generally cut charge when the current drops to half what it was (about 95% level) since the last bit of charge contributes a very minor amount of energy and can shorten battery lifespan considerably if left 'fully charged' anyway.

I'm sure the maker will be happy to provide a replacement if you ask.......

I like it a lot. Very compact and well thought out. And effective. Nearly hand size, especially with the stealth MP. I carry the vape, a spare 18350, and vial of stash in one of these coin purses:

I uses a 'Solo like' load volume so it's easy to gauge loads, but eats up the power. Four sessions per charge if you're careful.

IMO I have had the MIQRO for almost a year and had not had a satisfactory experience with it yet.
- it requires too much material to work properly therefore defeating the purpose of a "micro" vape, and
- its heater is too weak to consistently maintain an adequate or sufficient temperature.

I wanted to and still want to like the device so I have not given up but I find that my other vape (A boundless Tera) is far more efficient at a much lower temp with a much smaller amount of material.

Just my experience to date.

I totally agree there are trade offs we have to accept because of the tiny form factor but I'm nuts over it because it's a small rock solid super-stealthy piece of engineering and the last 9 months, especially last Summer wouldn't have been as much fun if it weren't there ...

I would say the miqro has a bit too much resistance. Not the worst but the main drawback for me. A pleasure to hold in the hand though.

I can only compare to Solo 1 and Crafty (from your list)
I would say the Miqro is most comparable to a Solo - maybe slightly less restrictive.
The Crafty/Mighty is much more free-flowing.
I personally have no issue with the resistance on the Miqro - it has never been a “chore” for me to take a hit from it.

Yes, mine has done this as well. Not often as I make it a habit to not start a session with only one bar. IIRC you can restart it again to finish the session you're on?

Honestly, I do not think this is a good choice for micro dosing.
I think you should look at an on demand vape.
And I say this as a big fan of the Miqro, but knowing its limitations.

If you post a new thread in Ask FC, I (along with others!) would be happy to give you some other suggestions.

Once again, Jill is wise. Although the pearl offers some compensation (a bit under 2:1 IIRC) soon you end up with a small load (therefore low potential for production) with poor contact (meaning it's going to go slow in addition) makes this a poor choice if that's the goal. By the time you've heated the relatively huge mass of the oven body up to magic temperature and the heat is starting to produce vapor in a small fraction of a small load you may well lose interest.

On demand (convection not conduction) vapes are probably where you should be looking. FWIW I too am a big fan, used it just a bit ago. I've even got a new one stashed 'in case'.

Your call, of course, but you asked......
