Idk if anybody has seen these Honeypuff stainless steel grinders on Amazon. I got my hands on one today and it didn't even survive the initial cleaning. Back to Amazon it goes. Pretty disappointed because I was hoping this could be my new freezer grinder.

No idea when the SS Lift will be delivered. Last I heard, it was expected to be delivered by the end of last year. The only complaint that I might have is the total lack of updates on the SS Lift since paying in August. This said, I know that any delays are the result of them wanting to makes sure its perfect but having updates would have been nice.

As a follow up, I received an update regarding my SS Lift over the weekend. There is a delay due to the last polishing step. They are trying to make it look perfect and it seems like they are close but not quite there. It seems like they have figured out the issue which seems to be due to the media used in the tumbling process. No timeline provided as the solution is not yet proven.

I'll update again when I have more info.

More like if it were chopped by scissors (like the old-schoolers used to do it). As, depending on your technique, you can break it down to be fluffy by hand if you want to. But yeah, it depends on the vape. Different types of grinds work better or worse in different vaporizers.

lmao this week I was calling all my friends to try out their grinders, since I had gotten one and wanted to compare.
"Hey dude. Can I ask you a weed question?"
"Uh, yeah."
"You got a grinder?"
"Uh... yeah."
"Can I try it?"
"Uh............. yeah. Yeah, sure, just come by, I guess."
"Thanks. See ya when I ge--"
"Whoa, wait, why do you want to try my grinder? You need a grinder?"
"I got one and I want to compare them."
"Huh... well, okay, come over, I guess."

I had this conversation with 7 different people (4 that I actually went to hang out with). Only one of my friends has any of the grinders you guys mention here. :lol:

I have both.

Standard Lift is aluminum and SS, BCG is all aluminum
Lift is heavier and larger due to use of SS and thicker aluminum
Easier to fit BCG into jeans pocket (I do this sometimes but I dont wear skinny jeans)
BCG is simpler with only 3 parts
Lift is engineered better IMO with more parts (no metal on metal friction during grind)
BCG uses traditional teeth, Lift uses a blade mechanism
BCG is 3 piece only, Lift comes 3 or 4 piece
BCG comes in a lot more colors than Lift (only 2 colors) and BCG IMO has a more atheistically appeasing design
Lift uses better anodization (iirc hard coat but not type 3 since no acid is used)
Lift has an all SS option, BCG does not
BCG is slightly more affordable
BCG has no threads at all and kept closed via magnets
Lift has 1/4 turn threads
BCG is virtually smell proof closed
Lift not as smell proof but certainly doesn't reek
BCG has a center post, Lift does not
BCG has an ever so slightly larger holding chamber (5-10% more would be my guess)
Both made in Canada
Both grind with extreme ease

I like both for different reasons. I typically use my Lift but I'm beginning to use my BCG more due to the center post. I use it to tamp down bowls so its become really useful for me when using a certain vape of mine.

You can't go wrong with either honestly and if you can, you should have both. These are arguably the two best grinders currently available. I believe that BCG carries a 4-6 week wait and the Lift is currently sold out. From what I understand Lift is about to be in stock again. Hopefully this helps.

In my experience, I don't believe the BCG produces a fluffier grind (at least nothing easily discernible) than the Lift but I do think that it's easier for the BCG to get a finer grind. BCG uses teeth so its easier to use the upside down grind hack. It works on the Lift but just not as well.

This is largely due to the marketing dollars and distribution channels other brands have. It won't be easy to find a true premium grinder in a brick and mortar store or on Amazon. If I had to guess the large majority buy their grinders locally at a head shop or just hop onto Amazon. Its mostly those who visit forums such as this and reddit that will learn of the Lift or BCG. Keep in mind that neither really need a stronger brick and mortar presence as they have no issues with demand.

I found and watched it. That has never ever happened to me before. 44 turns? If it took 44 turns to grind that much material, no one would touch the Lift especially given the price tag. I have no idea what he could have done wrong so I won't even try to speculate.

For what it's worth, I don't grind upside down. The way I see it, if I feel the need to grind upside down, then the grinder has failed to get the grind consistency that I want.

Grinding upside down just tends to dirty up the grinder tenfold more than not grinding upside down. If a grinder makes me feel the need to grind upside down, then I'm in the market for a different grinder that meets my grinding needs better.

I can definitely appreciate that. This wouldn't make me personally search for a new grinder but rather a new grinder plate. At some point I might get the fine plate for the BCG but I like the medium consistency 90% of the time and for those times that I want fine, I'd personally prefer to go upside down vs. switching plates.

Well, of course if there is another plate option, then I'd try that first. I think you missed my point. I have all three BCG plates, and I too have settled on using the medium plate 98% of the time. But if I've tried all the plates, and still feel the need to grind upside down, then I'd be looking for a different grinder.

I've never felt the need to grind upside down in my BCG, which is one of it's selling points for me.

Fair but I think you might have misinterpreted what I meant. I don't believe that there is a need to grind upside down with either the Lift or BCG. I was simply stating that if someone wanted to do that, it's easier to do so with the BCG vs. Lift due to its design. Some people (typically just heathens like myself...LOL) will grind upside down at times vs switching plates or grinders altogether so I was just looking to pass along some info. It shouldn't be interpreted as a possible handicap or knock against either grinder.

Has anyone tried running herb through the grinder twice to get a finer grind? I haven't. Just some high wondering. :hmm:
