I'm so excited! Cant freaking wait... just found and ordered a really cool directional cap from Stoney Glass @gotstoney on IG and it looks every bit as good as the DD directional. Also was able to get in touch with an artist (@heartandmindglass) who does some really cool custom work for the switch thanks to your info! I really appreciate it! Looking forward to posting my review of it, but based on what I heard I already know I'm gonna be happy! Thanks again

One more question guys... am I able to just load my crumble into the dish, put on the cap and hit the button (like the peak) and hit when its ready?? or do I have to hit the button and let it heat first and then drop the crumble in there? I like the idea of the ease of just being able to push a button and hit it a few seconds later so I am hoping it works good this way?

@gotstoney is actual the maker of the directionals on Dr. Dabbers website...same artist, same cap/

And Heart and mind glass makes a good looking double uptake water spinner. Is that what you were thinking?

As far as hot start and uptemp goes, It works either way, I prefer to preload and hit the button. But if you like to dab on a hot nail you can. Others hit the button to melt the dab off of their dab tool, cap then hit. Whatever you want will work with this one really.

Dont have a particular piece in mind for heart and mind yet, but I have a few really cool ideas! I'm gonna keep looking around at other stuff to get an idea and then have him make it. For now I am working on getting my hands on a cool custom color MAV piece I found to tie me over. Can you tell me the difference/advantage of getting the tall EQ quartz inserts over the short ones? I already ordered the DD one, but heard the EQ one is much better so went to order one today and they have choice of short or tall. I assume the tall is to prevent spill over?

Do you use your Herbie for dry herb, concentrates, or both?

IMO the Switch is an amazing dab rig! I would highly suggest it for concentrates. As far as flower goes, as a vaporist I feel there are better solutions. If you don't mind it being big and not portable (switch is big) then you maybe should look at the Flowerpot for flower if you want the very best experience.

If you just want a "Good" flower vape, there are so many to be had right now, but I wouldn't start here unless you dab too!

Thanks for the feedback!

Mostly dry herb but occasionally some concentrates. Attracted to the flowerpot but looking for something more seamless and less components a la the herbie. Trying to find a replacement to vape flower before looking into concentrates so may return to the switch later.

So my switch arrived yesterday and I was able to give it a try last night... wow I was really impressed. I am a FL MMJ patient so I take pretty high doses and have an extremely high tolerance. I cant remember the last time I was that high, and it was after doing only 2 back to back hits of Puck Yeah crumble. Extremely happy! Cant wait for my quartz insert and @gotstoney cap to arrive today so I can try em out. I also ordered a really cool MAV glass attachment in a cool custom color but wont arrive till next week, I will post pics once I get it!

I broke this thing out for some flower mode frenzies this week. Damn thing fucks me up - like 'stoney the next day' fucked up.

I don't know what's going on, but when I go from bowl-to-coal, I'm skablamaged!

If you're looking for a change-up, pack the black ceramic cup with fresh weed, packed down tightly, set it to somewhere around 700 in pro mode, and vape it til it's coal. But be ready to give it a full cleaning before your next dab - the smokiness takes over!

I could not wait to read the next herb usage review for the Switch. Now I can justify having 2 rigs for this machine. 1 for herb, and 1 for extracts. Thanks for droppin' in @stickstones!

Definitely worth it! Grab a bunch of alcohol wipes too. The well gets covered in smokey oil after a few bowls and loves a quick wipe down.

Hey guys got my MAV glass attachment, ball cap, @gotstoney carb cap and my DD ball cap. I also got the DD and sneaky Pete quartz inserts (not pictured)
I'm thinking about ordering the EQ TALL quartz insert and sapphire beads but have found conflicting reviews. Anyone here had any experience with that setup?
Loving my switch by the way... definitely great at milking every hit. I found that blue 4 seems to work best for me but if I want a hard, thick smoke hit (like my dab rig) do I just crank it up higher? Maybe green 5? Havent tried this yet? What setting do you guys use?

I would very much like to see the items you picked up but your images are not showing.

Can you tell me where you bought those items? (MAV glass attachment, ball cap, @gotstoney carb cap and my DD ball cap)

You can get the MAV glass from MAV website
https://www.getmav.com/products/the-pacifica-switch

The Dr Dabber ball cap and the same @gotstoney directional carb cap is available on the DD website. You can also contact @gotstoney directly on IG. They're the same price either way ($100) but De Dabber does sales and coupons all the time!

You can also get the quartz inserts from Dr Dabber. Theres also some others that make the inserts, just search around. They aren't hard to find!

I’ve tried the EQ inserts and beads. Also the SP inserts. They are all thicker than the DD inserts. They heat and clean up well. I prefer the top-hat style of the SP or DD quartz over the EQ. The design of the top-hat covers and keeps the titanium insert cleaner. The SP is half the price of the DD and thicker/smoother. If you use the EQ, I’d suggest the tall one. IMO the beads won’t provide any measurable value. Just more maintenance. Also DD’s directional carb cap is the tits!

Why are we not able to back-order out-of-stock items at your sale prices? It seems only in-stock items are the only things on sale; the high-demand items are either always out of stock or never on sale.

Hey Chase, quick question...

You guys sent me the new seal for my switch and it works awesome, the only problem is that my direction cap doesn't seat all the way down with the seal on. I know most people use the directional without a seal, but I dont like to do that cause its not an airtight seal. I am having the same problem with my MAV attachment as the opening is smaller to fit they're smaller ball cap so I cant even use my DD seal. Do you have a solution for using a seal with the directional cap?

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I have not heard of this issue in the past. Most customers use the directional cap without the new seal. The Directional Cap will usually seal off the heating chamber completely without the need for the seal. Unfortunately, I do not have any solutions at this time, but I will look more in to this for you.

As for the Mav Glass attachment, we are unable to help out much with 3rd party glass. I recommend trying out the old silicone seal to see if this helps at all. I know the Mav Glass works best with the included Mav Glass bubble cap.

Let me know if any of this helps. Hopefully you can find a good solution that works for you.

Dab On!

This is great info but man was it hard to find that.

I also appreciate the support pages you've posted but why aren't they easily findable on the DrDab website? When I go to support it doesn't list the Switch at all.

It's also weird that the silicone mouthpiece doesn't fit the ball attachment... that was weird and seems like an oversight. Alas my ball got a bit smashed when someone decided to slide the Switch across a table...

I gotta say though, I really do love the Switch. Everyone who tries it with concentrate loves it and is super impressed. The directional Cap was also a game changer. It just works better.

If I were to look for a third party carb cap would it have to fit 50mm or is that 50mm the size to fit over the Switch's cup and not for sizing the carb cap?

Is there a guide or any videos on how to disassemble the switch? I would have guess the knurled top metal ring was intended to unscrew but looking at marketing pictures it looks like it's just glued or friction fit in place. I'm wondering because I would love to add some UV lights and I have quite a bit of experience soldering and with electronics but I don't want to damage anything figuring out how to take it apart.

Thank you for all the detailed feedback. Lets go from top to bottom here.

We are working on updating all of our support pages as we speak. The website should reflect our Knowledge Base shortly. My team and I created the Knowledge Base to help out on the Customer Service end. We are working on getting a more polished version posted on our website soon.

The top ground glass joint is 50mm. This is the size of the actual induction chamber. The hole in the glass attachment where you place your carb cap is slightly smaller about 35mm.

The Switch Ball glass attachment and standard glass attachments use the same 50mm fittings. The carb cap hole should be the same on both of these glass attachments. All Switch glass is hand blown, so there may be slight variations.

Unfortunately, we do not advertise or have any disassembly videos for the public. I can tell you that the top metal ring does not have any glue or adhesives. The top ring is press fitted over a silicone grommet that keeps the electronics isolated. There are no exposed electronics around the heating/induction chamber. This ring can be removed with some force, but this will definitely void your warranty, proceed at your own risk.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I am happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you again for the feedback, this really helps us create the best products and support possible.

Happy Friday!

Great answer, thanks for the response!

I did not even know the knowledge base was separate from the support page.

A quick perusal and I do not see how the temperature correlates to the temp led colours. That's too bad since the precise temperature control of the switch really lends itself to that. I did see the gif you linked to before but that's not something I would expect people to find.

I do have some ptfe/teflon prying tools. I'll think on whether I want to try to open it and in the process void my warranty.

We do not promote this temp guide as it may not be completely accurate. We refer to them as heating profiles because the temperature may vary depending on cup and/or material used. The temperature guide is pretty accurate, but not exact at this time. We recommend finding the best profile that fits your own personal needs. The temperature guide can steer customers in the wrong direction if they have used an inaccurate Enail, torch rig, or other device in the past and already have a preferred temp setting.

Hopefully I explained this accurately. I am by no means an engineer, but I make it a point to know everything I can about each item we offer. We pride ourselves on outstanding Customer Service and always put the customer above all else.

Is anybody using this as a daily driver, and can you get cloudy vapor and strong effects? Is there a glass piece that is superior to the other?

I use as a daily and yes, get thick clouds and honestly get stronger effects from my switch over any other rig . I added the Pacifica recycler attachment from MAV glass, and quartz insert from sneaky pete and it hits like a freight train lol if your on the fence, do it. You won't be disappointed
