Dreamwood Glow

Its interesting that there is a preference towards the 18mm. I figured that since the chamber of the 14mm was in the atty, it would make it easier to stir thus a little easier or more convenient.

I tried the Glow 14 Ziricote a few minutes ago. It's a heavy hitter for me, nice effects and big clouds. I need to get used to the warm/hot vapor, but the taste is really good! The Glow with wooden mouthpiece is great in combination with a J-hook, big rips, but a bit easier on the throat.

Edit: forgot the picture (another proof it's a heavy hitter :D)

Edit 2: Used the Glow with the water pipe adapter. Good, robust taste and damn I'm baked now!

I never have to stir my 18 so no need for that, I like both Modells but I alway get back to the 18 and stay there. But most of the ppl prefer the 14 version

Hi there to y'all!

I'm thinking about getting a glow14 in the 420 sale. I'd like to have a cooling mouthpiece with it.
I already own a vapopipe with cooling mouthpiece. Does anyone know if it's interchangeable, or if I would need to buy a new one for the glow 14?

I'm pretty sure the RCV14 had a smaller mouthpiece than the vapopipe so you will need a separate one, and the coolingmouthpiece of the 14 changes from bowl in atty to bowl in mouthpiece. Because you fill the cooling mouthpiece with herbs not the atty as it is with the wooden one.

Still experimenting with the Glow 14. The taste with the wooden mouthpiece around 37-40 watts is outstanding. If the wattage goes higher I get hot air hits with less flavour. Through a J-hook the taste isn't affected by the higher wattages...and the flavour profile is really good.

I prefer the wooden mouthpiece for easy stirring and the glass mouthpieces for better flavour at the higher wattages, but I must admit I still need got lots of experimenting to do. In the nearby future I'll write a short review!

Nice to hear your experience it's almost the same here, best flavour profile in my eyes is delivered using the 18 in combination with the long cooling mouthpiece

And the vapor is so smooth that you don't realize until the realize of it that you just Vaped a whole bowl with one hit

Sorry I don't have too much time during the day for proper light for pics. I got to find time and my camera's battery to show you my grenadil cover which is not all black but has beautiful brown shades and stripes. I can show you a new thing I tried that works pretty well though :

Little update, I received my prototype mouthpiece and capsules for the glowRCV18 and man I'm the happiest person, now I have 100% my dream setup. The capsules take about 0.18g per capsule I think with a bit tighter pack they can also hold 0.2 and vape well I will try that.

Seeking to find a portable better suited to my needs than the Fury 2, I got a Glow 18 in mahogany. The wood and woodworking are gorgeous. The O-ring to keep the stem firmly in place is appreciated and an excellent feature in a portable vape. Coming from a Splinter Z, the Glow is tiny. I have it on a P80 and it’s a very compact solution. The fact that the standard stem can fit right into an 18mm water piece is so convenient as well. The mouthpiece fits the Mistvape dosing capsules perfectly.

I found it very easy to use and was getting thick clouds in no time. The first hit is immensely flavorful, but I’m finding the flavor tends to fall off more quickly with the Z even at 42 watts. Perhaps using the glass stem would retain the flavor longer? With the Z I’m still getting noticeable good flavor 4-5 hits in. On the Glow after the first two hits I’m tasting the wood more than the herb.

I did combust once my first time trying it through water. The smell and taste dissipated quickly, thankfully.

So far I’m liking it a lot and will try it out at work today to see how it feels as a true portable.

I am getting the taste longer with tc than watts staying more easily at stable and mid temps. Also the wood gives more taste in the beginning until it gets seasoned. It depends on the wood essence. Exotics have more sap. The taste on my rcv14 stays longer with the glass stems but it's less efficient needing more heatsinking. Overall I think it's a very tasty vape but on the "tough" side of the taste.

Edit : according to some the 18 glass stems work better than 14.

I’ll have to read through the thread again for tips on TC.

Tried this setup at work today, using the regular wood stem and the mistvape dosing capsules. Even at higher watts I wasn’t getting huge clouds, might be because of the dosing cap or maybe I’m just a baby when it comes to hot vapor. The convenience was excellent and I preferred it over the Fury 2 by a good margin. The effects of the CBD flower are pronounced and enjoyable without any impairment. With the P80 the whole setup is easily palmable with some of the stem sticking out. I’m liking this a lot.

Is TC possible with the stock coils? I thought TC didn’t work with Kanthal.

When I get home I’m going to try it with my Xl8r Jr since it fits and see how the taste changes.

I am a bit deceived with dosing capsules in general with either F2 or IMP ones in both the glow and IMP. I can't get the avb as dark as I want except if I put extreme heat. I think I would prefer mesh caps instead of plain ss and also the ability to flip them.
