Try changing the airflow and please report back :) if it’s extracting well don’t expect more then 3 really tasty draws though. 3-4 max but I hope closing it down some will give you better results

3-4 tasty hits would be an improvement over my current one tasty hit. Even with the Splinter the most I can get for flavorful hits is 6, and that’s if I’m starting at the lowest temps.

I almost went with splinter z but figured that would be a more at home vape because of the glass and I have an herbilizer which works really well for my home needs :) I’ll probably still pick one up down the road but I’m happy so far with the dream. I’m on the 18 btw

Same, 18 for me. The Z is my home daily driver and it’s an amazing vape. I’ve half considered getting a custom Z for at home and then taking my standard Z out as a portable.

Yes it's quite even but (because? ) it doesn't get very dark. And I don't want to exceed by far the temp I decided is the max on my setting because after that I feel I overheat the wood. Maybe the capsules @wisausnk is trying are aluminium that conducts heat better? They look like it.

You have one big plus with the aluminum one and that's conduction, you can vape your bud really dark in there. But at the end it's still aluminum I will try the basket capsules as soon as I get my hands on some.

Normally I start around 40-42 but I saw people on Reddit saying they started at 32. Not sure why I’m not getting the results I want. I draw for 10-15 seconds but I don’t have the trigger held down for the whole draw.
What wood do you have again, I use my glow with 49 watts and capsules and I get at least 2-3 tasty hits. Maybe it's your wood that covers the taste a bit, or maybe the flower has not the strongest terps..

For the best flavour I suggest getting the big cooling mouthpiece or the wooden big bowl one I find they taste the best, the most neutral wood is purple heart at least in my opinion. My Mod has a 10second timer I always preheat for 3-4 seconds let go push again and then draw for about 15 second's button pushed the whole time. The rest I regulate with the draw speed.

I use an stainless steel mixed twisted coil for the best results. They will be soon aviable thru Dreamwood and greendream

Here is my new baby an GlowRCV14 made for the Pods (prototype)

Hello Dreamwood glowers! I was just wondering if any of you reside in the UK and could tell me how long your glow took to reach you? Mine was dispatched on the 11th and the wait is killing me, I’m beyond excited to get to grips with this beautiful beast.

I have also bought one.

Did you guys get a separate mail with tracking?

I am in the US and I received an email with tracking when it shipped. It takes maybe a week for it to ship. It's possible he batches his shipments. But it got to the states without any customs hold up and fairly quickly once it shipped.

So badly tempted by one of these guys at the moment, look nice and portable and fairly robust!

Do both the 14 and 18 have the same build deck? Are they both capable of using dosing capsules?

I received my Glow 18, looks and feels really nice.

I didn’t get it to work in wattage mode, really whisper hits and something I don’t get is are the coils supposed to glow or not? I noticed some harsh taste on my throat, is this supposed to be like this?

Tried SS316 24ga ID 3.5mm 8 twists in TCR and it worked much better, but avb is really uneven with a hotspot in the center, don’t know how to fix this.

Storz and Bickel capsules fit in the body

The coils will glow. Your wattage may be too low. Where are you starting?

You might want to change your air restriction so it’s more restricted my guess is it’s wide open and your not use to the draw.

The mouthpiece is small so you will get some heat. Preheat the unit for a few seconds before hitting.

Also you may want to burn in your coils a little before hitting. You’ll see some burn off at first which you don’t want to inhale.

For unevenness it may be how your coils are spaced.

The dream glow is my backup unit. I like the small size and the wood work and if I need to rebuild it I can. The Iheat is my main unit, the coil is much better and works with temp control and allows an even more open draw.

Hey @rzzr1711 I've got a glow 18 too, I've used the original supplied coils and also a Stainless Clapton Coil from Dreamwood, I am running in wattage between around 38-40W, medium draw speed and get good vapour and results with nothing fancy going on (I struggle with Mods and all their settings). My ABV is even, I actually expected it to be less so (no idea why) but it's more even than my Z.

My Coils glow, the stainless ones started glowing after a few seconds and at around 25W (this is from memory however I could be a little off, but I recall it being low).

I’m not using the capsules and just filling the wooden stem I got with it and tamping it down very slightly. Are you using the capsules? What wattages did you try ? I do find the feeling a little dry on the throat towards the end of a stem but not harsh.

I have the 14 that is a little different but with the same Base. To me with capsules in general you need more heat to darken it but it doesn't affect evenness, on the contrary. The airflow setting combined to understanding of the draw definitely plays a big role. But in general this vape vapes quite evenly. Are your coils glowing evenly from their center?

No they don't the 18 is a bit bigger and has the bowl in the mouthpiece, the 14 a bit smaller and bowl in the body. Both come without capsules or capsule option. For using capsules you need the capsule mouthpiece for the 18 and for the 14 there is something in the making.

As stated many times tc works but the glow is not build with TC mind, in wattage mode start at 42 watts and control with your draw speed, sure the vapor is a bit hot with the wooden mouthpiece if you prefer cooler vapor get the cooling mouthpiece.

Heatspots usually a an sign for wrong installed coils (not above the airholes) and wrong inhale technique. Can you pls show how you have the coils installed?

And using the mighty capsules in the base will not work sattisfying. For mighty capsules you can get the big bowl mouthpiece that fits them and that works ok, but for way better results get the pod mouthpiece and the fitting pods, and you will be surprised how well it works. SS mesh pods are in the works too

I had to restrict airflow and learn to adapt my draw speed. The vapor is definitely warm just like most 510 vapes. I ordered a 18mm cooling stem direct but it doesn't fit properly unfortunately. I didn't bother requesting a replacement as I didn't want to deal with an international RMA since I'm in the US.

Thanks for the tip. The male joint is actually to big (or ID of chamber too small) so using paper won't help here unfortunately.
the glass stem I have is the same way. You just have to push it down firmly and give it a little twist and it should hold in place.

I see...so they are made that way? I'll give it another shot but don't feel great about losing loose fitting glass. The fact that I can't get a cooling stem solution for the glow is the primary reason why it doesn't get as much use. The vapor is just a little to warm and harsh without a cooling option. This isn't to say the Glow is more harsh than other 510 as I have to use a cooling stem on my others as well.

It does seem they are made that way. I initially thought the same thing as you that the glass joint was too big. My buddy owns a few Glows and he was the one that taught me to push down on the glass to lock the stem, if you give it a little twist it locks in very tight
