This was my old one! Excuse the dirty tube...
No bowl heat soak for that one Lazy? I remember you using higher temps though to get that extraction from a cold bowl. 6 - 6.5 wasn't it?
And then you found you coulld achieve the same extraction with a heat soak at 5.5 IIRC.

No need to respond to those rhetorical questions btw. I was just a bit curious before I eatched your clip above, to see if it was with a cold bowl.

Also IIRC @Pustupillo was also using much higher temps for heavy one hit extraction from 0.07 to 0.1?
Like 7 on the dial (again, IIRC lol!):)

Actually, I think all injectors don't responds the same..
My first production unit Ti was rocking on dial 5 without soak.
Seb told me he liked his Ti at 6. I combusted at 6.

Now, with the last production unit (new handle), I set it at dial 6 - 6.5, with heat soak, and without combustion!
And I know @latulipe999 likes his one at dial 5.5 with a little heat soak

I don't know if we can really compare and rely on the analog dial to be precise..
DigiTi ?

Or not.. It reminds me that flowerpot thread where we try(ied) to compare temps and results, but by the end, nothing was really in chart and comparable.
So, I think we all have to define our beloved setting by each one unit ?

Yes I took firm notice of you reporting this in the past Joaon, and has already been relayed to Sebastien. This is another prime reason I waited for the Digi, to avoid the pot luck of calibration.

However I do think there should be a lot more consistency and closeness between diff Digi units. I hear what youbare saying with the FP and varied results on identical temps. But the way every coil lines up may vary a little more with the FP possibly, with several other factors too like many diff controllers, diff bowls, load and draw tech, material etc.

Plus some more factors for variation I cant think of with the FP? Of course some of the variables will also apply to the Ti, but I feel like there may be more equality if the controllers make for even calibration unit to unit.

Last time I used the Ti for 10 days, for my allergies and vapor tolerance, I was pretty happy up to about 5.7. Used 5 to 6 but 6 was a bit too aggravating.

So there will be some fun learning the new range by number. Theoretically, 5 should equal 190°C. So if we set digi to that number, we should get the same vapor as a perfectly calibrated analogue right? Except we all know it is not going to work like that.

Even if that was the case, it should perform a little differently still as the heater should be more active to keep heat stable, and this would surely improve the hit and extraction.

Altnough I expect once bowl is fully heat soaked, the performance and vapor may be identical.

That's why I like to (try to?) calibrate myself my units, Standard being Volcano/mighty,
PID controllers have a calibration menu, where we can offset the displayed value

I have now my Flowerpot displaying 190°C, extracting quite even golden abv
I expect that we will be able to do so with th DigiTi. Heatier element being also more powerfull
(36W for XL and Ti, 76W for DigiTi ! ), it will react surely differently !
Fast heat up, fast recovery, more precise ..
Can't wait ! Want to side by side a DigiTi, a Glass Symphony, and a Showerhead .. :luv::drool:

When using an e-nail there are much more factors which influence the real temp than the heating element of the Herbo Ti I think.
Btw any news on the release of the Digi Ti?

Seb says its coming before the end of May. He sounded pretty sure. So literally any day. Maybe this week, maybe next, but one day soon- Coming to a cinema near you...

Wouldnt it be cool if we had cinema type trailers of the beastly vapes before they are released? With all the drama, hype and sound effects. Clips of man's taking whiteout busters and passing out etc. One day bro, one day. We have legalisation just around the corner now here in UK for pretty much definite.

I do expect eventually we will see TV commercials for vaporizers just like any other commodity.

I saw one for a vaccuum cleaner recently that could so be for a vape one day with catch-phrases like:

"Quick cordless convenience with powerful performance." :rofl:No joke!

The Herbo XL is my only Desktop Vaporizer till now, because of different reasons. I'm partly immune against VAS  ...at least when it comes to Desktop Vapes. I'm regularly trying to justify my next purchase. Or simply because i'm just fully satisfied with it. I know that i have no comparison but i'm considering it as a lucky strike for me. I have read and learned a lot from you all, but when i compare reviews of other Units with my Herbo...:luv::drool::luv::whoa::freak:...oh sorry back on topic... then i'm no longer sure why to invest more in another Desktop Unit.
But i'm considering to get the Herbo TI DIGI - that shows how confident i'm with Herborizer in general.

I wanted to tell you something about a symbiosis between my other portables and my Herbo. When it comes to ABV i developed the habit to vape my herbs only until light-brown in most of the times. Normally its not worth it to vape your AVB because of 1. the stronger taste, 2. the limitation in temperature setting or 3. it is difficult to squeeze the rest out of it in a "small' bowl and you're on the edge of combustion - in particular with Torch Vapes (and i have only torch vapes). The XL needs more material to reveal it's strength - when i have fresh herbs i turn it on 7 till no vapor appears and store it also for later. When i have saved enough ABV, i would not get any hits out of it on 7 but then I turn it up to 10 - then i can get lots of big, heavy and narcotic/sedative hits - ideal if that is you're current need. I guess not everybody would like the strong taste but i like it. When i vape sativa in my herbo at higher temp i can get really high, vaping sativa AVB of the same or a mix of sativa and indica ABV at higher Temps feels almost like strong indica.

You are also able to speed up time with the XL by using the hole on the injector as a carb hole. I either use the head of the glass stir stick to partly cover the hole or use the tip of my fingers (I'm not that heat sensitive) - i found that this really boosts heating time, but also between every hit - with the XL normally after a pause it takes some seconds of drawing to white walling your glass. With covering the carb hole you can get huge draws instantly.

I'm wondering if someone else has made similar experiences?

Much love to y'all! :peace:

Edit: Funny I didn't count my Vapman Station I as a Desktop Unit...apparently the combination of the Station and Vapman build another category of vape for me

Hey good day there and very nice to have you here with us with fresh, positive spirit. What you say about the XL matches perfectly our collective impressions up until now.
It is not to be underrated as a vaporizer. It just has its limitations, and is outdated.

But with a full load it could still offer a unique vaping experience and will always be an excellent vaporizer for socializing. In partiular, once fully loaded, the load is practically maintenance free compared to many other vapes, especially the modern super extractors where you cannot vape for more than a hit or 2 before you need to stir etc, or even reload.

While the XL can be vaped for an extended time before you need to stir, without hits declining rapidly unless you do stir it up, crumble more etc. It just keeps giving equally large and tasty hits for quite a while before you need to tend to te load. Which makes it unique on this sense for a social occasion. Not constantly duty bound to manage the load every few hits.

I also have always used my XL on setting 7. But only due to my allergires as that is the limit I can vape at to keep things comfortable/manageable. I like 8 as well, but causes too much bother with my lungs.

I'm wondering if someone else has made similar experiences?

Yes this has been tried and does indeed increase vapor density and strength from the first draw. @lazylathe , our true pro vaper around here and pioneew of all things vaporizer... even made some sort of tool or part to cover the top of the injector.

Personally, I only tried it a few times. Same with raising the screen up. It caused me a lot more respiratory bother. Adjusting temps didnt exactly equalize it, but even if it did it would defeat the point and would never be as regulated anyhow.

So I say go for it and upgrade. You will still likely enjoy your XL for its different signature and behaviour/role. I do think if you can afford it it will enrich your enjoyment of weed and vaping.
Hope to see you back here again.:)

I also miss the bowl size of the XL. Being able to load 1/2 a gram and settle in for a movie is so convenient.

I've been thinking about testing the XL bowl with the Ti heater. Just need the right GonG adapter, I guess it would be an 18 to 24mm? Does anyone know if a suitable adapter exists? Or better yet, has anyone tried this already?

I forgot to mention that after 1 year of use i changed a little bit the way i use my TI:

First time i used it (was also my firt vaporizer experience in life) i combusted at 7 / 15 min heatsoak :freak:

First 9 months i was using it at 6.5 / 15 min heatsoak, DARK brown abv

Now i use it at 5.25 - 5.5 / 15 min heatsoak, Golden-Brown abv. With less heat i get the same thick vapor, same stone, and BETTER flavour.

Like i said in past posts i always use 0.07-0.1 and i clean the bowl in 2 hits.
The TI is amazing, i will never get tired of sayng it.

Have a great time guys :peace:

@Pustupillo thanks v much for sharing your current usage style. This is the fundamental info and feedback which is so valuable and always very intresting to me. Styles can vary widely, but we can all learn so much from each other.
@Carlos8400 (Yo Carlos btw ) also originally began using a higher temp, but soon discovered he got the same extraction with much better flavour by going down one whole notch on the dial with a 15 minute bowl pre-heat.

So his experiences mirror your own. So glad you are still enjoying it so much thanks for dropping in do come back.:)

Any tips for using the concentrate bowl?
I take it you have it Sticks? If so, you are the only person I think I know of yet who has one. Havent heard a single review or impression on it yet.

So no sorry, no advice Im afraid. I have never even used concentrates. But I can tell you that I was the inspiration for this bowl after I told Sebastien on facebook a few years ago, how I was using the XL to vaporize essential oils to treat respiratory problems.

I used hemp fiber which took some real head work and play to get it just right to hold the oil drops so they don't drip through too fast (into bubbler), but not too dense as to block airflow, and prevent the oils being converted to vapor.

When it worked, it was really good milk. Peppermint pain. It worked aggressively onmlung congestion. However the problem was the hemp fiber would get gummed up really quickly with the oils and would not function as a vaping medium. I always do 3 or 4 rounds of oils, standard with steam inhalations, applied here too.

But after round 1, round 2 didnt vaporizer nearly as well. 3 and 4 really needed hemp fiber adjustment etc to make it work.

Anyway...Sebastien was quite interested in my experiments at the time. And he randomly emailed me one day showing me the concentrate and essential oil bowl and saying how he got the idea from me. So Im honoured haha!

I gave up vaping essential oils anyway and since told Seb I know it is not healthy. They oxidise, degrade and transform too much with heat that way, at any sort of temperature to make the practice worthwhile and effective.

Now this makes cannabis even more amazing to me. How you can dab that shit with none of these hazardaous carcinogens.
So good luck testing it out I look forward to hearing more. (It's currently out of stock as well.)

I have one, but I don't have any concentrates here in Australia

Surely someone has tried it?? If not, lets make it happen... for science.

Looking at the design of the bowl and seeing how it works, I think the heat-soak will be critically important. Is possible the first few inhales will be wispy. But once the entire bowl and oil has reached sufficient temps, I can imagine it working really well. The bowl has a big capacity, so it would be possible to load a large amount to last all day, or for a big group session. If the temperatures are gentle, and the heat more convection-based, I can guess the flavor/strength will last a while. This is really different from most other concentrate methods, which are designed to use a tiny amount of oil very quickly, with higher temps and direct conduction.

Dammit, now I've gotten myself more curious  Might have to try making some rosin.

I've emailed Sebastian a couple of times but haven't heard anything back. I guess it's really busy times for all at Herborizer but I was just wanting to find out when the Ti Digital will be on sale and then the general availability of them once they do, for instance is there a waiting list of sorts? If anyone has any info that'll be great.

Is there any current discount code? Otherwise I could visit the booth of VDNM at the MJ Berlin 8th-10th of June and look for convention discounts. The last years they had 15 or 20%.

@Alexis Seb indeed fixed the injector for no cost and heck even threw in some screens and an agitator so it would of cost him time and postage. And it has a nice new clean look and the wires now have a rubber type material over my last oven glove type one.

How can anyone buy anything else? I just wish i had more money to get a ti soon because it was miserable using the mighty at night and fiddling with plastic compared to sleeping with a pre filled bowl and maybe an hours worth of bud in one bowl. I was having to refill capsules after 4 rips. So i need to relay to him how much i am in gratitude. The man saved my lungs too!

@rodders83 that is great man thanks so much for coming and sharing! And waddidItellya?
What a guy Seb is, now you see just what we're on about. Yeah my injector came back all shiny brand new too,

It is basically brand new you know. Instead of saying "buy a new injector" he asks for nothing, eveh pays to get you brand new one and freebies. Gotta love Sebastien!

@Lozo "The Digi-Ti will be ready before the end of May", is all we know. Any day. Just keep ears open. There will be some word here Im sure. But Seb may be super busy atm for replies.

@Hogni easy:tup: So, can you spill any beans here out in the open? Do you have your Ti currently? What happened with @pxl_jockey trialling it when he had nasty winter bugs?

Did he send it straight back with a tag saying "POS"? Or still has, hence you eye a digi?
Guys you gotta give us something please. This is what we all live for. Anytime, I'm a'ready!

Alexis, I'll tell you - and anyone else here - the code when I get one íf you should be interested.

My "Sandmann" still stays in the UK at pxl_jockey. His state of health doesn't allow him to use his devices so much as wanted I believe. But I'm not in need with all my other devices so he could keep it longer. I'm also still waiting for his review on the Herbo :p

I'm not eyeing an Herbo Ti atm. But very eager for first reviews on it. Pretty sure there will come some improvements - as you told so often and detailed ;)
There are other devices on my VAS list I'm currently more interested in or which are already pre-ordered but still to pay the next months. But serious my VAS is calming down a bit. Have so much really good devices and so less time - and lust - for vaping (I'm just good enough for 0.1-0.3 max. per day in the evening) I can't use them all regulary so much I'd want.

Thanks for the insight which all makes total sense indeed. Yes time and endurance for vaping can be limited in a busy life. But where you are at is realistically where we should strive to be. When you have the proper devices, a little at the right time, in the right way is the way to go to be set for the next day. In theory anyway.

And yes of course you have very little need for VAS now I understand that. You have been there already in recent years. It led you here. Good that you can relax and let it go as well and be content, long may it continue as you get the rest of your devices Im sure you are still quite excited about.:)

@Alexis no luck at all the new shiny injector heats up a llot better but 2 hours later and a presoak i just cannot get vapor once again i took the load wehich is about 2 capsules on the Mighty into the Mighty and got four rips on the Bubbler.

Now this is very odd before i said i could touch mine cold at both the top and bottom tips only the middle was hot and i only use 10 or 230c. But this new one is hot it would burn your fingers but i am not getting vapor. So it must be the A/C or Temp Dial. Seb asked me did you try to plug in the XL injector to the A/C without the temp dial but i said i did not as i once saw it on a website you should never do it and i was and am scared now and he never said after that to try as it was safe he just said sent the injector in.

Boy this sure sucks and is weird i did not want to have to buy a new A/C or Dial because i wanted the Digi im sure the Xl wont work with the digital would it? The Ti and Xl for mew sharing the same was a nice plus i admit i might have to just buy a Ti now and link in the repaired XL injector seb sent into the new power that would come with that.

When i bought the herborizer ti i have encountered several problems before using it optimally through water. Originally the heating element was too low (way too close from the load). Heating and vapor was not good at all way too harsh and overall bad experience.

What i did instead:
  1. Unscrew heater
  2. Adjust height of heater
  3. Use temperature 4.5 for flowers
  4. Enjoy some good hits and flavors

Gosh sorry Rodders that sucks to hear that. I understand your dilemna totally too regarding your hopes and plans to get the digital.

But maybe there is a way around it? Sorry I cant remember now if the XL is your only vape. If not I would just contact Seb again and explain your dilemna and ask what he thinks might be the problem.
If it is still the injector, it is just bad luck and Im sure he would still make it right. If I was you, I would just immediately send him both your injector and power pack.

He will tell straight away wherev the problem is. If it is the power pack he may just replace it for you. Or offer you a decent discount at least.

At least then you will know the issue and can decide what to do. That is what I recommend anyhow. Good luck bro, I hope you get some better news and there is still a perfect solution to be found. Thanks again for keeping us updated, hoping for better news next time.

The baked on sticker came off it too so basically my hope is he says yes in light off the glass being tarnished too and no longer the same.

Is anyone able to tell me what connection the Herborizer Ti heater takes? I want to buy an extension lead to give myself more slack between the temperature controller and the vape assuming that can be done without issues?

Must say I really like Herborizer's customer service even if it does take a while to get a response, they offered to replace the screw I needed for free and would put it in my next order, always had extra stuff included in my previous orders as well, really love their mini grinders and use my 2 all the time and I got them both free :D
