Jojo, I am even more humbled now! I already knew you have shown mastery at designing and producing an outstanding, industry shaking (hopefully) vaporizer, but now I learn that you ALSO know the alphabet!

Joking aside, what strikes me about the GS so far, from Lazylathe's reports and videos, is that it seems like the vaporization process seems to be very controlled/controllable/replicable.

There is no need (or even an option) to heat soak the bowl, it isnt needed for full fast extraction.
A big bonus as this removes added variables. Replicating load size looks easy, set your temp, and then the only real variable is your draw speed.

The new Ti Herborizer is more tricky to get consistent identical results. The heat soaking of the bowl makes a massive difference to the outcome.
It takes mindfulness and decision making. The level of heat in the bowl will also vary constantly during normal use and I think will rarely be stable and solid while using.

I cant speak for the Flowerpot, but I think there is also more potential variation to the vapor and hit size besides temp setting, load size and draw speed. But I may be wrong about that.

It does sound like the FP vapor is a little more straightforward to replicate than the Herbo Ti.

Not knocking these vapes at all, just thought sharing. I find it interesting how these 3 new heavy hitting top top vaporizers have all come out suddenly at a similar time.

Many people will be so torn as to which top heavy hitter to go for with all these new options.
While some lucky buggars have all three!;)

Exciting times for the (rich) vaporist! Good luck Jojo, just keep going. I really like the way you are just taking each step as it comes, not focusing in the distance anticipating the future too much.

New Discovery!
The Glass Symphony can even use EQ baskets for vaporization!

Remember this is me, the modder and experimenter... So only partake if you want to have some fun!

Items required:
EQ basket
Stainless Steel paperclip
Pliers
Cylinder the same diameter as the inside of EQ basket. +- is good so don't worry too much about it.

1- straighten the paperclip.\
2- wrap around the cylinder once till the end meets the main wire again and remove from cylinder
3- test fit in EQ basket and adjust as required till it fits INSIDE snugly and won't fall out.
4- place setup in bowl and gauge height that is easy to grasp and cut at that height. I put a little bend in the end of mine for grip.
!!!Ensure the handle in centered in the bowl and does not protrude from the rim of the bowl or it will interfere with the heater!!
5- load a bowl and insert the apparatus.
6- Place GS on top and you know the drill...
7- perfectly brown ABV at 930!
8- remove with tweezers or allow to cool for a minute. The wire gets VERY HOT!

Pushing the Glass Symphony around has no effect on it... It just bites back!

It's been a Glass Symphony Sunday kind of day today!
I then come up with the awesome idea to video the herb changing color in close up!
Sounds good right?? It does indeed!
Then factor in i have been hitting some seriously strong God's Green Crack and it all falls apart...LOL!!

Anyway, here is what came out of this afternoon!
First off, my Basket Screen Mod!

And here are some pretty awesome videos of the vaporization process, up close and personal!
@jojo monkey This is an awesome vape! I love using it!!

Inhale only, try 1

Inhale only number two, try 2

Inhale 3, we have lift off!!! I could not quite finish that load, so went for a second hit!

Now it is time to go watch some more Homeland! That show has me hooked!!
And baked Homeland is the BEST!!

The construction is very interesting as well. Seems like there is lots of potential for adjustments and modifications. If something breaks I can just reorder that single relatively inexpensive part, or maybe find an equivalent replacement locally. Also there's the possibility that the GS functionality could increase over time.. @jojo monkey could release a new attachment or come up with a new design for a part and bam; new Glass Symphony.

THIS! You can go local, off the shelf, and I hope to be top shelf and perfect for each order. I am buying in large batches that I sort. You get the savings of this going at a large scale.

So if you broke the handle and you live in the USA your options would be:
I'm selling a GS handle for $30 w/ priority shipping and you can have it in a couple days.
I've also had the handle made in the USA and paid $28 without shipping.
You can also go off the shelf and get a "24/40 drying adapter" on amazon or ebay for $6-$15 out of China. It is not the same, but close.
It makes sense to me that people who are passionate about vaping/cannabis like I am, and are making/using the device themselves, would design a good product. They don't need to hire a research team to find what people are looking for.. They can just make the device they've always wanted and share it with the rest of us.:2c:
Such a nice way to put that.
Anyway, thanks to @lazylathe and @Zow237 for all your feedback and for being the first to take the plunge! Your feedback videos were very informative.:tup:
 I second this! They rock.

A M/F version of this all glass adapter would be cool (less visible bowl though):

Spot on. Yeah, you don't need to manage too much. The pid is maintaining the one heat source. Once you find a temp you like it should be smooth sailing. I have not burned weed in years.

Thanks, Alexis! I do have a giant mound of glass to sell, but yeah, nice and slow just to get things ironed out. I tell myself "Rome wasn't built in a day" all the time.

I'm gonna try this. I've never tried a basket in it.

Awesome videos! Your closeups are so nice..the glass looks invisible!!!! It ain't easy getting all that together in one shot.:bowdown::drool:

You are making me want a funnel bowl.

lazylathe

Almost there...
@jojo monkey

Funny you should mention the funnel bowl again...
I was thinking and doodling last night and was wondering if we could make a bowl like this:
24/40 female up top
18.8mm male down below
There should be a ledge or a hole that fits a regular screen as well as a basket screen.
Now the part that had me interested was that i was wondering if they could somehow twist the glass to form and guide for the air to vortex down toward the bowl/basket.
Would look wicked cool as well!!

Can't wait for more for this vape! Gotta get some fire so I can use her. Been to busy to stop at a dispensary. Well worth it though cuz when I do reup I'm going to get blasted with the GS :D
@lazylathe
That's sounds badass! Would love to see a vortex bowl like that.

Also can't wait for @jojo monkey to test the setting temps im at because I wasn't using his numbers, so I've been getting different results with different temps. But it was more on accident and then getting huge clouds really never had me wondering if the numbers were right. Went to go plug the fp in and noticed one of my numbers was really high. Always good to take a day or two off haha

Here are some ideas for a "basket bowl". I hope it is close to what you are thinking @lazylathe. I used an old image of some bowls and chopped the shit out of it.

1 - A rough mockup of a funnel bowl. I need to know the EQ screen size to size up the glass and I have some on the way. I think it would be cool if a standard size screen would also fit in the spot (like lazylathe suggested).

2 - A reg GS bowl. I could change the top joint and lower it down by 2/3?

3 - The prototype bowl. This was made in the USA and bit expensive, but we could do a small run and modify the size a bit. Maybe have it 1/3 of what it is now?

4 - an off the shelf bowl

5 A rough mockup of a 24/29 to 19/22 with a 19/22 inside the airpath to hold the EQ screen. This should bring the joint inside the bowl like the RooR bowl.

So I've got a couple ideas that we can mix and match to do a basket bowl and some other ways to just get closer. I will inquire about the outer spiral shape once we lock down a shape.

I actually just tried the stem version of these out this morning and it works semi-well for me. I like to hand tear and then break them up with a stir tool or in my hand. It works absolutely perfectly when it's hand torn, but after breaking it up little pieces start getting through the holes and into my mouth. It's probably best for a medium and up grind and I think your fine if you hand tear and just stir or break up big pieces.

the more narrow the bowl where the herb will be the better.

I just got my eq screens at lightning speed. It's always nice when a unlisted company ships from within your state. These suckers are tiny! I am also surprised to see such a fine mesh. That settles it, I'm doing a fine mesh next run.

So... I tend to overthink things to arrive at a simple solution. The 19/22 is already the right size!

esal517.jpg

If you do a little eq basket finger puppetry it is possible to slide the basket to the bottom of a symphony bowl. I did the same to an off the shelf bowl too. I think I can improve this and it will be cheap.

I was able to get a nice even cook with the symphony bowl. I was not able to shoot it without making a mess.

Edit: BTW This is basically what lazylathe did with the RooR bowl + handle.. just me messing with the actual parts.

Just dropping in to say i am enjoying some really cheap herb in the Glass Symphony tonight!
Tastes great, hits like a freight train and was only $5/g.

Still loving dropping in an EQ basket and doing bong type one hitters!
That is if i only half fill the EQ basket...

Nice and easy whitewalls every time, it's just insane!

The one thing i would like to note about the Glass Symphony is that it is my best extracting vape ever with a cold bowl. I can throw any kind of herb into it and it throws out clouds instantly. Some of my other vapes take a hit to dry the load before the vapor starts, not so with the GS.
It annihilates anything i put in the bowl!
And it does it with amazing flavor, taste, clouds and strong effects!

For not it is my strongest hitting vape.

With your lineup, that is very high praise. I think you have every hard hitter of the past few years.

Sparkling clean glass, bowls, EQ basket screens and fresh, cold bottled water to fill the WT.

Loading up George Bush Kush, for a cheap strain i really enjoy it, and it is perfect!
Temp set at 940, instant clouds, amazing flavor, amazing taste just amazing all around!

I have noticed that the male joint of the injector gets quite dirty over time and needs a quick wipe with a q-tip dipped in ISO gets it all clean and clear again!
So far that is the ONLY maintenance i have had to do apart from bowl cleaning but that is very minimal!
And with the EQ basket, my bowl stays clean for a week or more! YAY!!

I used my NewVape Fine Grinder and noticed an improvement in vapor production!
Denser clouds that last for longer with the same amount of herb.

My average load size has been 0,06g, which i consider to be a micro load for me.
basically a micro hit for me is one lungful of vapor and completely exhausted material.
The Glass Symphony gives me these results with each and every inhale, whilst making my herb taste divine!

Typed this post while listening to some Sublime!!

Have an awesome Sunday everyone!

Idk why but I am not getting any white wall action at 950 or even 999 since I changed my settings to the recommended and never once have heard the balls compress :(. Idk if my load is to far away or what.... it's closer than stock but I think it can def be closer

My settings on the RDK200
Code 155 PSL = 1.03

Code 166
p = 20
i = 0
d = 0
otH = 100

Try those and see what happens!
These have been my settings for a long time now and i shot all the videos using them.
Raising that screen is the key!
