Hi FC.
What would you all say are the vapes I should be looking at if I want something that's able to extract from my flowers consistently, evenly and won't leave them half-cooked, has at least decent battery life, is pocketable and discrete, and won't break the bank? I have a Crafty, but we all know about their reliability and my warranty's up in a year, so I'll have to move on soon anyway.
At the moment, my list of vapes includes the AirVape XS and Summit because they both seem to be quite small, reportedly have good vapor quality and good battery life. Also important for me is that both of them let you know when they're ready with vibrations. As I can't see most LED lights, that's an important feature. I'm also looking at the Firefly 2 because it's quick enough to heat up that it sounds like I could just count 15 seconds or so and hit it. Are there any others I should be looking at? Should I remove one of these three from my list to keep reading up on?

My budget is about $400 Canadian, but if I can get something cheaper I'm perfectly happy spending the rest on things to put in the vape.

Thanks for being such a great community to lurk in. :)

I highly recommend adding Grasshopper and Firewood to the list, although you'd likely be waiting at least a couple months for either one. Grasshopper uses an LED but heats up fast; Firewood is nearly as fast and has a one-button / vibration feedback UI.

You might also consider butane style; Vapman and VapCap are both great!

RBT Milaana. Near instant power, great battery life and easily changed. The early ones went through a little shakedown but the current ones seem functionally and aesthetically fine. You do have to fiddle with a glass stem but not that hard to learn. Great flavor, clouds if you want them. Not a great "share with combusters" vape though; they'll end up smoking it... Respect the power, clear the heat each time and there is no problem. Check out the thread; folks are going nuts over these....(Says the man plotting how to sneak another $200 onto next months budget for a "backup" Milaana) ;)

The dynavap requires carrying around a small torch but otherwise meets your criteria- simple to use and uses clicks.
You might also check out the Boundless CF. It doesn't use LED the way the CFX does.

And I think you should add pax2 to your list. If you haven't, I also suggest you go to Buss Danklin's site (vaporizerwizard.com) and check out his reviews/videos/ratings, and comparisons.

The one problem with this site is that he doesn't seem to include some of the more recommended vapes like the milaana and vapcap

Another vote for the Vapcap. Smallest vape that I know of, super efficient, taking literally just a few seconds to heat up. No larger than a cigarette. Consistently toasted and roasted every time. Great battery life, 'cause, well there ain't one to worry about or lug around or increase the size of the vape footprint. No wires, no plugs, no electronics to fail. Simple, easy, tiny, efficient.

An accessory stash is available that stores your Vapcap and one or two herbs or concentrates.

They are also stunningly beautiful, beautifully engineered and well made. The top of the line model is called the Dynavap Omni. It is an all titanium model and goes for $150 US. The mid range model is called the Dynavap Ti Woody, $90 US.

Below is a pic of a couple of Ti Woodies and a Dynastash.
