What do you think about Vaping with a Heat Gun?

I have done it at a friends house, and i have to say i could tell no difference between a bag from a volcano and one from a heat gun. The techniqnue is quite simple, you just hold the valve onto where the heat comes out of the gun and it fills up on low speed.

The way i would like to set it up:

One of these Heat Guns:

http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-C800620-Heat-Deluxe/dp/B000FV8SCG/ref=pd_ts_hi_3?ie=UTF8&s=hi

This Valve:

Thats about $170 altogether plus i buy a couple bags $10 more, but i have $25 already on amazon.com that i can spend so minus -$25. So all in all this will be a $145 vape setup. A little cheaper than the Vapir Air one v5, Think its worth it?

I've seen them in use online, seems interesting. I'd stick with a 'real' vape though.

If you don't mind the noise/hassle of a heatgun, go for it if that's what suits your style. You can use it with a Vriptech system or something similar for bong rips as well.

Just make sure it's a quality heatgun that's relatively safe for inhalation purposes. Some discussion about that here. Will cost you a bit more, but you'll have peace of mind and it should last longer too.

Good luck!

I'll second that.

I wouldn't use a $40 heat gun.

A $40 heat gun will probably crap out on you after a short while with steady use. I bought a black & decker similar as the one you posted to install a auto leather kit and the fan died the first day I bought it, it might have been a lemon but I wouldn't waste your money.

If you are looking to spend that kind of money and want to vapor bags then you might want to consider an Herbal Aire or V-tower Extreme, I can vouch for the Herbal Aire it is a reliable product. The V-tower seems to get really good reviews also.

I use a steinel 2310 and a volcano easy valve set. It was pretty pricey compared to other vape setups, but much cheaper than buying the volcano. I use the bag system whenever vaping with multiple people, but if I'm by myself or with just one other person I use a party bowl in a bong. It works great and is better for delivering milky hits for just one more person. Here's a link to my volcano setup: http://fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=377

They aren't exactly heat guns, but check out digital air heaters (solder rework stations), such as http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/7343 This has a digital controlled and read-out hot air gun, air flow rate display and adjustment, readily adapted nozzles (with many others available) and auto shutoff and safety features. All for less than $100. Check out the retractable arm/heater holder on another model at http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/9752 These and other units may be more adaptable than many hand-held heat guns. I am aware of one brief report on another thread that a similar model works great, but is noisy (but probably no noisier than a hand-held unit).
