    I spoke to Ellen at Vapeworld and she informed me that the discount for the PAX ran out this weekend. No big deal! She was still extremely helpful and managed to advise me on a few things!

    So far, customer support is A+++!

    Vito, are you getting a Pax?

    I suppose this had to happen sooner or later. I sincerely wish it hadn't. Unfortunately, I'll have to be the first to relate a rather unpleasant experience with the website.

    I want to say this is perhaps the first time I've taken the time to write down a complaint with a product or service. I'm a bit amazed after reading this thread and knowing the history of positive feelings left for this company. I most often allow my anxiety and OCD to get the better of me and I usually just put my head down and take it when things don't go as planned.

    I'm on a very fixed and limited income. I've been following the Pax thread since before the release to gauge the performance of the unit. After reading the learned members of the forum's opinion on the Pax, I decided to purchase it on 8/11/12. I checked the Vapeworld website and the Amethyst Pax was showing as being in stock as of my order.

    I entered my information and pulled the proverbial trigger. At this point my order was processed and my credit card charged. I realized it was probably too late on a Saturday to have my order shipped, so I shrugged it off and figured that my order would ship as normal on Monday.

    Monday morning I received a notice saying my order had been processed, my card had been charged. I tried to check the order status using the number provided, but the website had yet to be updated. I checked several more times through the day, but the information did not update until after 5:00 p.m. After the information was finally added to the website, I checked to see that my order had been processed, but the Pax was now Backordered.

    ...Wha? If I had known this before purchasing the item, with a simple "out of stock" notice I would not have made this purchase. I'm a medical patient. Method of delivery is incredibly important, as is knowing the service I'm utilizing is one I can count on to provide what they're claiming. I can't endanger my health by going a week or more waiting for a mistake made on someone's website.

    Best case scenario would be a simple refund, right? That would be well and good, but most likely that would take several days to even process the refund before the funds are back in my account. That means waiting most likely another <week> before I can make an order, then wait for that website (whatever it may be) to process my order, get it shipped, and have it in my hands. It could honestly take up to 2-3 weeks before anything actually happens and I'm able to purchase a new vaporizer. To say my day has been ruined is an understatement.

    In the future, maybe set the website up to match current inventory. I've ordered from many websites online, from kitchen-ware to video games, and I've honestly never bought anything that was supposedly in stock only to be told that my item was backordered AFTER I had been charged. I'm not irate. I'm not even angry. I'm just sorely disappointed and surprised after reading this history of positive vibes. I'm torn right now between cancelling my order and waiting the time it takes to have my money actually refunded, and trying to gut it out and hope the item that I ordered and paid for is quickly restocked and sent. I'm at a loss. I hope the reader's experience is better than my own.

    To be fair, vapeworld has been selling the pax as a preorder since June i believe...when the 8/1 date arrived they posted a notice saying that they only had the black color in stock and the other colors would notnarrive until around 8/15. I believe they said they were gonna still be selling the colors that were not in stock for the people that wanted to wait two weeks to get the color they wanted (but i could be wrong)...either way they did post a notice saying that the blue and purple.

    On another note though i did have a problem with vapeworld a while ago, my neighbor and I both purchased a vapes a while ago and neither of us knew that the other had ordered it. The problem was we ordered a color and it was out of stock. A couple weeks later i recieved a package with my invoice and 2 vapes. i was extremely excited to say the least.

    However, a couple days went by and i got a knock on my door from my neighbor...seems as if vapeworld had decided to ship both of our wisprs to me but only include my invoice and not his, however his tracking number showed my address and name... then when my neighbor called and complained that he hadnt recieved his unit they told him it was shipped and if he hadnt recieved it than it was his fault!

    I'm not certain what you're trying to say, Mud. The item (amethyst pax) was listed as available on their website when I purchased it. The black pax was marked as being unavailable (temp. sold out), the Cobalt would be available on August 15th. It read this way on their banner at the bottom, then again when I chose which color I wished to purchase; The black was marked as unavailable, the amethyst as now shipping, the cobalt unavailable.

    I had the EXACT SAME problem, and talked to Customer Service agent there. He didn't tell me anything good, and I left feeling lied to, and scammed. I have the chat saved, just in case (it was here, but I deleted it).

    Long story short, after saying "fuck it, just wait" to myself, I got a call from them directly. They were able to help me out, and were very understanding. It was a bit of a hassle dealing with everything, since it wasn't my fault, but maybe they are just getting their training wheels off, or are just bombarded with the demand for the Pax.

    As of now, I am a happy camper with Vapeworld ! I hope to come back and post a final thought on my first transaction with them. :razz:

    Our demand was so high for Amethyst Pax units that we ran out before our inventory system had a chance to update our website. Very sorry for anyone who ordered their Pax in Amethyst after we ran out. If you were one of the unlucky peeps that put your order in only to find out we were later out of stock, please let me know. We want to make this right.

    Okay, well I was just saying if you read the pax forum on about page 27 which corresponds to the end of July everyone started getting messages like the one below. Didnt realize they got the cobalt in early and then sold out and still sold you one...my bad

    I looked in to it. Here is the news from VapeWorld:

    Black units: The black have arrived and pre-orders are starting to ship.
    Blue/Purple units: There was a slight delay in the manufacturing. They are going to be shipped out starting on the 15th of August.
    Accessories: The mouthpieces, screens and other accessories will start shipping the 15th of August as well.

    Just to clarify, here's where we currently are with shipping on Pax:

    We are currently accepting Pre-Orders for all Pax products.​

    • Cobalt (blue) units are anticipated to ship out on August 20th.​
    • Pax spare parts are anticipated to ship out on August 20th.​
    • Onyx (black) units are estimated to ship out on Sept. 10th.​
    • Amethyst (purple) units are estimated to ship out on Sept. 10th.​

    I ordered a blue one on monday and was told they had 0 black, 2 or 3 purple and a few dozen blue. Mine was supposed to be here today but for some reason is not coming till tomorrow according to FedEx!

    Just ordered my Pax Onyx from Vapeworld last night. Went smoothly of course. :-) Can't wait to get it in. Hopefully 09/10 is the ship date still for me ;-).

    I just ordered the purple yesterday and I am pretty excited too! Kinda sux we missed the coupon and I really hope I get one that ships out the 10th and I don't have to wait any longer than that!

    Ok I got in with password reset. Also, my order is missing now though and my other order that I received already is all messed up too. I sent a customer service message, maybe I'll call them a bit later.

    Edit: Did a live chat. They have my order. Due to a manufacturing delay, they are shipping my Pax out later this week hopefully.

    It has now almost been two weeks since I ordered my mouthpiece from vapeworld. USPS lost the package and I had to scan a signed sheet and email it to vapeworld saying that I never received the order. I asked them to express the package since this has been a considerable pain in the butt for me not to mention the fact that I haven't been able to vape in all this time. I'm kind of pissed because they emailed me yesterday asking for me to scan the signed paper and I took the time to do that and I have still not heard a response from them. I'm also mad because they could have sent a new mouthpiece on Tuesday... now it is Thursday and I still have not received any confirmation that they are even sending a new mouthpiece..... When will this nightmare end?

    Apparently they are going through a full blown systems change over. I tried to order something today but it was a special order and was not able to. The rep told me they were two days behind in shipping due to the change. He said they were working to get caught up today and I might be able to order tomorrow. But even if I ordered today it wouldn't go out until tomorrow or Monday at the earliest. This seems to make sense of what you are going through.

    I once was the point man on a systems change over like this and we had to shut everything down for a few days to get things going in the right direction. It didn't sound to me like it was going to be that bad for vapeworld, but some hiccups are to be expected. I hope this helps and I hope your situation gets resolved quickly.
