best i've seen em since '03. and actually this is better, i like happy Trey.
my first show was in '91. i really like the place their at right now.

Hey SS64, I'm building out the B-day vapes as the order come in (and shipping them in that order too) but none will probably ship out before the end of the week. My initial plans were for none of them to ship until the special ends late on the 23rd but I will probably start shipping before that now. Once an order ships it only takes a couple days to make it to the Midwest. :party:

Wanted to check back in here. My dogs are still going strong. I love the 24/7 aspect... always ready to go at a moments notice. Just like a true dog is... I can snap my fingers and my little puppy right next to my side in seconds ready to play.

@ MrThC - I got a few days behind schedule from working on the B-day pieces but they're coming, really, I swear.. they're in testing now and should be done in a couple days. All told there's 12-13 of them for the refresh if I remember correctly.

@ SM - glad to hear your Dogs are still keeping you good company dude, I was just wondering how the Space Modulator was doing the other day after working on a new piece that made me think of it. :D

The Space Modulator is still one of my favorite designs in vaporizers. It just looks very artistic. I always have it sitting on my table. :tup:

Hey fellow dogs!

I'm about to order up a B-day vape since my PD has cracked in half, but had a few questions... Are all of the UD's now 3/8" core? Also, I have been going back and forth on the twig vs regular log and wanted to hear everyone's opinion on what they would prefer (pros/cons). Also, is there a coupon code I could use since I am a FC member :)

One more request, what will the finished white ash look like? Do you have a preview of a B-day vape Dave??

I ordered and got my dog about 2 weeks ago, I also owned a PD in the past. Yes I believe they are all 3/8 core but it shouldn't really matter since they are all 3/8 core now and also they are now insulated to run 24/7 I believe.

Twig vs. a normal log:
Pros: Much smaller, I'd say 1/2-1/3 the size of a PD log. Much easier to use with some type of hydration device without an awkward angle. I am also a sucker for miniature items in general and this is one item I just wanted to be smaller, having already experienced the PD.
Cons: I own a twig(I think) and because it is smaller it gets pretty hot so sometimes I forget and since it is so small I grab the whole thing and its pretty hot. It's not even really a con it's my own fault really.

There's a coupon code in Dave's(underdog's) signature.

There was a post a couple pages back when someone ordered a White Ash UD. The BDay vapes are supposed to be a surprise, so apart from selecting what size you want for a little more money you won't really know what your future UD may look like.

I think all the questions have already been answered but yeah all the UDs are 3/8" cores nowadays.

Coupon code is in my signature but doesn't work for the B-day special, only regular stocked vapes. There are FC goodies included with all the B-day orders however.

The pic posted by VL is a good example of Ash, each piece will have a slightly different uniqueness to it (wood you know) but all in all it usually looks much like that piece.

Alright Dogs off to answer a few emails and then head to the shop, working around the clock here like Santa's Workshop to get B-day and regular-day pieces finished and ready.

hey Underdog, or anybody who can answer, would it be possible to purchase either a Bday vape or available vape on the site and have it not be covered in the different oils that I hear it is finished with? I have chemical sensitivities. And in the past I have had a couple log vapes that were sort of offensive(just with smell, not anything else about them, which was annoying). Thank you :)

Hi Nycd - If you were to purchase an upgraded B-day piece (the $175 option) and made a note of your request during checkout I would be happy to do that for you. I could finish the outside however you want, anything from sanded with no finish to just walnut (or mineral, or linseed, or grapeseed, or...) oil to just wax or whatever you want (assuming I have it). Also if you want I would be able to secure the core and resistor with a retaining ring instead of the dab of silicone that normally does the job. :nod:

just curious...Do you have coconut oil? if you have used it do you think it works well as a wood finish? Just curious cause coconut oil is one of my favorite things right now :)

Now, say I wanted one of the available Dogs on the site? would the same be possible? or would I have to do a custom order of sorts?

I do have coconut oil and I've used it once or twice in the past on pieces, it works nice and can also be mixed with beeswax to make a special cocoUnderButter.

As far as pieces on the site go I can't really retrofit them in that way so we'd have to start from scratch if you wanted something like that, not a problem either way really though. :peace:

I should have made the switch to vapor a long time ago. A friend pawned off on me his faux-wood plastic box style whip vape. That's a bad sign right there. When it wasn't combustin' it was barely working.

I'm really glad that UD is out there making a good product. It's amazing luck I stumble on to this cult following right at birthday special. For twice the money I would have bought a German vape that looks like a hot-glue gun, you know the one I mean, and I doubt I'd be happy with it.

How much length of tubing in a unit when you buy from the UD website?

Do UD users out there prefer silicon tubing or a glass stem when they smoke?

UD users who who water pieces- recommends?
