So do you guys think ill be fine without a VV for a while? I haven't gone looking locally yet and im hoping my dog can satisfy my needs for a while without. Maybe someone has a video without a VV? I thought i read that they run at 13.5v off the normal power supply. Correct me if im wrong?
you'll be fine(actually, way above fine, high in the clouds), but once you do get a VVPS, you'll notice the many benefits it has and will never go back.
dave has said that the stock adapter provides 13.25-13.75(depending on the local powernet etc, can sometimes even change per outlet in the same house apparently), but if you live in europe it's different, since the stock adfapter with europlugs provides sometimes closer to or a bit under 12 volts. but even living in europe I was satisfied for months with that lower temp before I finally got a vvps, I just couldn't blow out big clouds, but I got plenty high.
but I'm glad I did get a vvps eventually, it provides more flexibility in temp, for example sometimes I come home and don't want to wait too long for it to warm up so I set it at 14 volts for 10 minutes to warm up quicker. and some strains give more throatirritation on higher temp and so are more enjoyable on a lower temp.
also if I vape weed, I often turn down the temp at night(to 12,6-12,8), so that the effect is more high and I don't fall asleep while watching tv(wich happens surprisingly often, especially on fridays when I have a lack of sleep build up troughout the week)
usually I keep it at 13-13,2 for weed(but sometimes 13,4-13,5 if I want big clouds and/or I don't have much time but still want to get a nice high going before leaving to a party or friend's house or so)
for hash my usual temp is now 13,5-13,6(and not different temps for nights, since I mostly vape nepalhash wich is high enough on this temp)
and an extra added benefit of the vvps is that it has a display with volts+amps, and if the amps are 0,00 it means the UD is not connected. so if the plug slides out a bit for example, I immediatly see it's not making a connection(with the stockadapter I sometimes had that I grabbed the UD to vape and it was suddenly cold because the plug slipped out a bit)
and a nice long cord, but ofcourse you could add an extension cord to the stockadapter too.
