UC Davis Pepperspray incident.

OhTheAgony

here for the chicks
I saw this one last week:

I wouldn't mind spending a little time in jail to have a man to man 'talk' with that guy myself tbh.

The dickhead who sprayed the students was UC Davis Police Lt. John Pike, I can get you his contact info if anyone feels like giving him a call or such :p

I like how its all nonchalant. I would just question them so much..
Why are they protesting exactly?

Lets not get too radical about this though...for every 1 cop that has done this. There are probably 10 who wish they could be sitting on the side of the protesters...

since when do cops make millions lol?

Not saying it was right in any way, but at least it was pepper spray. Some of you may be too young to remember (or even know about) this. This is how it used to be done back in the day..

It just doesn't make any sense that pepper spray would just be unleashed like that, it was flowing like a fire extinguisher... and thanks for the post SD_haze, I had a good laugh over the Portal photo.

It's a corrupt system. Authoritative powers don't know how to deal with "non violent" movements. Look back in history during black segregation and their were many beatings and things happening too, and these people were doing NOTHING. We are seeing the same thing with the occupy movement currently happening. It is sad, but what can you do :/

i think i agree with you, but would word it as such : authoritative powers in the usa don't know how to deal with non violent movements in a non violent way. the issue of rights now days boils down to interpretation of a written words via legislative and committee meetings instead of using your damn brain. rules and procedures may be dumb, but they spare you from thinking...the lazy love em. look at that first pic, that smug look on his face...zero thought...just "following orders".

ok, im out. :peace:

I agree with both of you. The cops involved wanted them to move, "because they said so." It's all a power trip. He does look smug. He feels he has the power. Unfortunately for the poor people he sprayed, he did.

Think this through, where are these 10 to 1?

If they wished it it would be so

lepstadder,
HAHAHAHA! The best thing to come out of this tragedy are these absurdly funny images. Spraying yoko's breasts  and the portal one

Do you think cops make so much money that they can support their families by effectively quitting their jobs?

That's why you don't see them out there. I'm sure they'd get fired or put on leave atleast if they were found protesting instead of patrolling, or doing whatever their job is supposed to be.

I live in south florida where cop salaries are notoriously bad as well. I just can't imagine the policemen who make as much or less than these protestors somehow being on the opposite side just cause they wear a uniform.

Think this through. Most people who are protesting probably can afford to... thats why they are out there with their iPads and cameras and what not taking video and everything.

I'm not against the protesters i'm just saying put things in perspective. being radical about your beliefs can be very dangerous no matter what your beliefs are.

and some of those pictures are just amazing haha. too bad for the guys who got pepper sprayed but at least when the internet gets a hold of these things some good can come from it! (laughs :D )

Cops aren't anything but a bunch of pussies without that badge and gun. I heard they also pepper sprayed and beat an 84 year old woman too. It sickens me to think that these people are supposed to protect us from the "bad guys". The irony is that the police are the bad guys nowadays.

While in this case I might agree with you, and while getting arrested/harassed sucks and really puts a crimp in ones day - I think this generalization and stereotype of police is a bit unfair.

Yes, I agree that they are a 'different breed' as it takes a differently wired individual to deal with the shit they have to on a daily basis. But at the same time, they are no different than you or I in some aspects.

I think the individuals like LT Pike (or whatever his name is) were BORN with small penis syndrome and the wearing of the gun/badge fulfilled some emptiness within him. Obviously that wasnt enough for him though (as demonstrated by his recent actions) But categorizing all cops by this action is unfair IMO.

reminds me of something I read a while ago... apparently the president of georgia wanted to fight police corruption
so he saod he would fire every cop busted for corruption. they thought it was a bluf, and eventually there was not a single cop left, all we're fired. and surprisingly, there wasn't a crimespree, instead crime decreased, because it turned out it were the cops doing the crimes in the first place

Amazon user reviews of the same spray used by Lt. Pike - click here.

Example:
When I feel threatened by students, no matter how unarmed, peaceful and seated they may be, I know that Defense Technology 56895 MK-9 Stream, 1.3% Red Band/1.3% Blue Band Pepper Spray has got my back as I casually spray away at point blank range.

It really is the Cadillac of citizen repression technology.
