I would find it odd that not one employee from 7th Floor, or anyone that has close business ties with 7th Floor, doesn't come in here and look around every once in awhile. I know Tokin does.

I really would like to hear about any upcoming product from them.............from them.

You have to wonder if they are aware that Abu is publicizing their "private" troubles.
That was my thought as well. I don't know if they pay attention, lurk here or what. Now I'll be wondering about gotvape.

Slight Hijack :D I'm really pleased with my new SSV though :D

Well for what it's worth, I do know that Got Vape is dropping the DBV/SSV from their portfolio. They have stopped offering it on a wholesale level, and once their current stock is gone they will be removing it from the retail side as well.

So their might be some truth to what Abu said. I wouldn't be so quick too lash him..... he's merely passing along information he heard, I dont think there is anything wrong with that. Its just important to make sure the info is correct.

I wouldn't exactly chalk up companies within the canna industry, as being on the cutting edge of "professionalism"....so I think its very possible that the 7th floor rep, may have offered up more info than they should have.

Again, Abu...I'd like to know the rest of the story..if you got post it up.

I have no reason to believe that Abu is being untruthful (aside from the odd content of the e-mail quoted), and have no proof that he is telling the truth.

I would like to hear more about upcoming products and companies to help inform decisions. I also feel that it is respectful to get ones permission before posting something private publicly.

I do wish that 7th Floor would have a rep stop by once in a while (or at least post somewhere online) to provide updates about the company and products. Abu, please share if you can.

I did indeed mention that i would like to post their responses here, and that they should check it out if they have time. So I find it hard to believe that they DON'T know about this thread. But anyway I will email and see if they want to swing through to post it first hand.

Gotvape was one of the larger distributors for 7th floor The company decided to cut down on their distributors so they could concentrate getting out orders to their customers and to their smaller resellers(headshops) Gotvape has since been telling customers that 7th floors products are faulty that 1 out of x surfers and buddahs are bad and many other disparaging comments. I cannot say anything about the money that may or may not be owed but hopefully this helps with any questions about got vape they currently have 2 dists in the us one for international orders and I think one for canada but I'm not sure. I will ask about the portable vapes when I get a chance.

Wow, so much paranoia and disbelieving; I'm not sure if I should say "smoke more" or "smoke less". (<--Joke.)

Someone just email 7th floor with a question in regards to all this. I get the feeling that Abu was just looking to make a nice post about some new vaporizers on the rise, but if any doubts exist than just email the company and confirm or deny it. It'd take less effort than torturing the subject here.
Pack a bowl and think more optimistically, it's not like you really have anything to lose if you believe this guy. :2c:

I was just in their store yesterday. The gal I was doing business with (the manager), whose boyfriend invented the SSV and owns the whole shebang, couldn't have been more than 20 years old ... looked more like 18 ... as was everyone else I saw working there. Could be they're just young and not too experienced in operating and biz.

Also, I don't know if this offer is good on the SSV website, but the store is offering a "buy two, get the third free" special. I had bought myself one and then, three days later, bought one for a friend. So they gave me a third one and, while my first is sitting in my closet, now my unexpected new SSV is sitting by my recliner! :) Hell, I was thinking about getting one for my brother for Christmas. Well, my BFF bought one yesterday, so I might give her the $$ to get my brother's and hence, another free SSV! :)

OH yeah, and the gal DID tell me that they were coming out with a portable. But it's all glass and not too small. It will come with a case ... it will break down ... but still not small enough to toss in a pocket or purse, like the Launch Box. Probably not something that would interest me even if it DIDN'T have that power cord.

All I can tell you is 7th Floor's site is currently infected with malware (hsudsasodams.com). Don't get infected! This is no joke. Don't know if they got hacked or what? :uhoh:

I informed them.

I would agree that no one at 7th Floor should have said anything to a customer about any problems they were having with a dealer or distributor, but just because you can build and successfully market a product doesn't mean you have the knowledge, experience, whatever, to peform every company duty (cust. svc., quality control, PR, etc) up to top professional standards. 7th Floor has had their problems with growing pains, in trying to keep quality control and customer svc. up to par while quadrupling the staff to meet demand. And it's expensive to hire someone who has the ability to effectively deal with all the hard to handle issues of running a business. I've corresponded with the owner, Steve, in the past, and from that experience, plus reading all the 7th Floor feedback on various forums (good and bad), my opinion is that Steve is a good guy who's trying his best to provide good products and service. If he sometimes falls short in the service area, and he has, I think he ends up making it right in the end, or at least gives it his best shot. You're never going to satisfy everybody 100% of the time.

I also know that Steve registered here well over a year ago. He hasn't posted and I have no idea how much time he's spent here. Considering the feedback and communication that members want from vape makers once they post, it probably makes more sense for him to spend his time on his business.

As for Gotvape, my only personal experience with them wasn't that great. I bought an inexpensive accessory, wasn't satisfied with it, and immediately contacted them (twice). Never received a response. A long time vape dealer (5+ yrs) that I know via correspondence also volunteered the info that he had no use for the owners of Gotvape. Granted, they're a competitor, but he had kind opinions of other dealers. I noticed on Gotvape's home page today that they're having a sale on the Volcano, Classic and Digit. 'Sale prices' are $539 and $669. That means that every 'cano dealer is having the same sale, all the time. Of course they're saying that you're saving big bucks, since 'retail' is $650 and $850. Gotvape knows how to run a vape business, and I wouldn't worry about getting ripped off by them, but IMO there are better dealers as far as cust. svc, and if you're an FC member, you can get better prices as well.

Yeah, I talked to Steve's honey, the one who runs the store, and she was bashing her employees right in front of me, telling me that one was getting ready to be fired, etc. That was really not appropriate to employee bash to a customer. They do NOT know how to run their business ... and they're resting on their "#1-selling vape" laurels. Wonder when someone will improve on their product (like Tom/Pam did for the PD), make it for cheaper, and care about their customers? When they do, SSV might be in trouble.

Also, I don't know if they would honor this online, but if you go in the store, they give you a 15% off customer loyalty card to use on future purchases. Any of you considering this vape, and ordering from 7th Floor, you might want to ask about that.

Also, I'm trying to work through a problem I'm having with them where they honored a special one day but wouldn't give my friend the same deal the next. When I was talking to Becca (who runs the store), I tried to tell her that they're getting kind of a bad rep, on the internet, with their customer service. She totally dissed that and tried to tell me that people on these websites "review their own websites," whatever that means ... then went on to extoll the company's virtues ... how they had the #1 selling vape, etc. I tried to convince her that with an excellent product, one needs excellent customer service (I used to be in customer service, so that's one of my pet peeves ... LOL).

That's the attitude of someone who doesn't spend much time, if any, on forums, and prefers to lump them all in the same basket with sites that really are on the shady/iffy side.

7th Floor may well continue to be successful despite their less than great service and QC. Not everyone reads forums, even though a good forum is currently the best place for good vape info. But the best companies try to have the best service as well as the best product. Companies pay $ to get feedback from focus groups. You'd think all smart vape company owners would be reading forums like FC for free feedback from the most knowledgeable vape users. I guess it's like that old saying- you can lead a vape maker to good info, but you can't make him read. ;)

Well, Amazon carries the SSV too ... and you can review there too, so it doesn't have to be just forums. :) What do you think of this situation? I took my BFF to find their store because she wanted to see them. And she bought one. When she was checking out, the guy told her they had a "buy two, get one free" special. I had just bought two, online, within 3 days. So I asked if I could get that deal too. After much hemming and hawing, the owner's girlfriend, after talking to him, honored it. I also bought 4 little glass jars while there.

So the very next day, my BFF, who had seen this go down and had bought hers the day before, took ANOTHER friend in there to get one. While my BFF was in there, she asked if she bought another, could she get a third free? They told her no. Even though she was right there beside me when they gave me that deal. And then they got rude and snippy to her. Then the owner came out and told her she could have the third for $50. So they make shit up as they go along and that's just not right. That group is a bunch of 20-something stoners and it's totally unacceptable to treat people bringing multiple purchases to them ... people who are sick and are medical users ... like shit.

So if this doesn't get rectified, I'm bashing the crap out of that company anywhere I can. Not the product, but the company ... it sucks.

Personally, I don't see a problem with it. They offered her Buy 2/ Get 1 Free and she declined to take them up on it. Your friend only bought one SSV. You bought 2 online and they honored it. I understand their logic, I guess. It's Buy 2 / Get 1 Free. Not Buy 1 Now, Buy 1 Later and get 1 Free.

No, I bought mine at two different times. She was wanting to do the same. Only her purchase would've only been 24 hours apart, where mine was 72 hours apart. Would've been the same thing ... but they wouldn't hook her up even though she saw them give me the same deal ...

... Boom Shiva !
Are there any new vaporizer models coming out from 7th floor?
Or is it all just a rumor, anybody have approximate time frame for release?

There is one ... or at least that's what they told me ... but it ain't small. It will come apart and fit into a case, but not small like the Launch Box that you could just put in your purse or pocket.

Actually for everyone who is surprised that 7th floor disclosed the information, I am not.

As a manufacture your vulnerable in distributor relationships because a lot of smaller vaporizer manufactures exist on accounts receivables, products go to Got vape on good faith, that they will return you the expected wholesale value of the shipment.

If I was a company like 7th floor, which looks to be successful, but probably strapped for Cash Flow. If I had a company like got vape, (who is actually probably less cash strapped, then 7th floor) taking advantage of my wholesaler agreement, I first would contact Got vape, and ask for the money or i would let them know my lawyers will be calling, and I will use my influence int he industry and spread the word what got vape has done.

I am surprised 7th floor has not come to this forum and let us know this information , if I were them I would.

I know you all are taking the position's thats solid business professional would never disclose this information. I do agree with your positions, if we were talking about larger companies, and a different industry. (there is not much regulation in the vape industry, and there is lack of a watchdog that oversees the relationship between manufactures and distributors) However, I think its safe to say were still dealing with smaller companies that are still in entrepreneurial incubation, and a industry that is still developing.

The thread title is about new models from 7th Floor, not about how they run their business. Let's get back on topic.

I've got to say, this is pretty unfair on your part. You say you took a lot of "hemming and hawing" with the owner and bought 4 glass jars as well in order to get your free vape. She obviously was there with you, and could have gone through with the same special.

This isn't a coupon they gave out to you, it was a favor they did for you one day. As long as they stayed within their "special's" guidelines there's no reason to be angry, other than rudeness (although it might be somewhat understandable if your friend was rude to them). You happened to get the "cool manager/owner" special they do occasionally, your friend didn't, tough luck.

This has me stumped so much...it's called the LSV, it has numerous holes with...LIGHT?
Maybe they changed their heat source from the soldering iron stick to something else?

Fall is around the time when the VapeXhale Cloud will be starting their sales so it looks like they will have some competition...

Can anyone give some guesses on this vape?
