Still more testing to do..... but I am not satisfied one bit :( idk if it was the hype that was built up on this thread or what haha. I'm really just not a fan ATM. Microdosing with basket is to much heat and to much herb just isn't efficient. Can't find a happy medium. Clouds aren't as thick as I'd want them to be. Had better results with milaana and Zion. :(

Check my posts, you sound like you have some of the issues I had at first and may need to adjust your technique for Tubo. Of course I have some custom screens I've been using with the bent stem, but using regular RBT stems/screens helped me better get the hang of it to maximize performance for my useage style... Of course no vape is for everyone so no worries, worst comes to worse I'm sure you can sell it quickly to another member here!

I'm only so hyped because this is pretty much the optimal device for me. Works perfect in every way that I personally could ask for.

I don't expect it to work like this for everyone. Would be nice though. I couldn't be more satisfied honestly.

I will note that I am starting a Tubo foster home and any refugee/unwanted/unloved/damaged tubos can be sent directly to my residence for rehabilitation and re-integration into society.

FWIW I also noticed I was using a shitload of herb doing full joint packs.

I noticed no real drops in vapor quality and didn't find myself annoyed by hot air when I just packed the joints less full.

Still never used a rimmed basked screen as an herb chamber so won't comment there.

I'm surprised to hear that @Zow237! Everyone I've shown the Tubo has had great success. I've hit mine very hard through water, as high as 220 C, and never come close to combusting.. Unlike my Milaana; which I won't even hand out to people anymore after too many burnt stems. Not doubting your experience at all! Just saying it's too bad it's not working out for you. Guess it was only a matter of time until the Tubo wasn't perfect for someone.

One thing I would suggest to try is don't hit it like the Milaana; hit it more like an ecig. Tubo doesn't need a slow sipping draw, rip away! Also I never fill the basket screen, even when micro dosing I just use it as a cap and fill the stem joint. Doesn't seem to matter how much I toss in there it always works out for me:shrug::D.

Maybe people I've shown Tubo to seem to get it quickly because they can match their draw speed to how my hit sounded? Dunno! But the Tubo performs for me no matter what hoops I force it to jump through; so I hope you're able to find a happy medium as well :). If not I'm sure someone will snag it up quickly; especially with the ever growing wait list.

    yes.

lung pulls for anyone who cares. you don't need to bother with MTL (mouth-to-lung) and will probably actually get more irritation using MTL...

huffing is a really good way to describe how I hit my tubo. I huff on it.
Can't think of something more descriptive, but you pull right into your lungs.

I hope you're able to find something you like.

Can I ask the status of the box I think/thought I ordered? I am still due 1 long bent stem.

I would appreciate it if I could kind of get a "view" of what else you have to sell / try so I don't spend postage on 3 or more orders, just the two (1 waiting for box), I already received.

    THANKS

Nevermind, got too baked and got confused !
    ------------------------
The tubo is monster keep trying Zow !
Here is what i do to get nice results.
Mine cruise is set to 120 seconds to save me some battery life cause i find myself constantly forgetting that it is still turned on after taking a single hit:D...
I pack the cap really tight and put the stem on my Water pipe. When the progress bar reaches 2/3 at 160 C after a start from cold i start hitting and get very tasty vapor. After that i switch the cruise on again when i am ready and since the unit is hot i take a second hit when the progress bar is in the middle,i get monster clouds.Sometimes when i want real hot hits i go as far as 175 C ! :)

I usually preheat for about 10-20 seconds before the first draw, but I'm not even sure it makes much of a difference. I don't think much is happening until there's some airflow, perhaps unless it preheats for quite a long time. With my lack of patience, I'd rather heat it quicker by drawing on it.

Oh, heat soak. lmao. I had no idea what you had meant...

Yeah dude, that's why cruise is dope. Your first few pulls are going to get the glass warmed up. You will not get vapor til the glass is warmed up. Pull as normal. Once I feel heat on my lips with the long bent stem (as in heat has fully traveled from the joint to the end of the stem) I know the next hit is where vapor will begin.

I wait about 5 seconds after turning cruise on, take 2 or 3 short, hard rips and by that time it's just about spewing vapor.

If you're using on demand mode, just hit button and pull as normal for about 5s and then it will be good.

Heat spark... I thought you were talking about a lighter or some shit lmao:doh:

edit: what @RelaxedNow just posted is right. I've also posted about this before...

its a convection device. obviously heatsoaking will do little good until you are pulling. otherwise the tubo is just a cool (but odd looking) hand warmer

I'm looking forward to and also scared of them making a website. I'll check it too often and eventually order 1 of everything. For instance I don't need a base for my glass, but I'm for damn sure buying that hexagon one if I can.

I will have to disagree with you on that one :)). It gives the heater more heatmass and temp drops are even lower. After a good heatsoak you get instant vapor, you can try and see the difference is noticeable via the monitoring device of NFE toolbox :).
Also it uses less power when heatsoaking compared to when you draw, this is beneficial when battery levels are lower.. The wattage use is highest when you pull, and the more the heatsoak the less extreme those values will be,cause it will require less power to maintain temp.
If you are doing long monster bongrips like i do you will see the huge difference in performance between heatsoaked vs cold.
That being said on demand works perfectly for me too, 185 C hits from cold, great results, i just start drawing slower and then increase my draw rate.

Just wondering about your temp settings if you are getting too much heat for microdosing. What is the temp range that you're using. I do use cruise mode and wait about 15 seconds before drawing but not really heat soaking. I also use only enough herb that I can't see the screen.

That is WAY too hot. I'd be close to combusting at that setting. Mine sometimes reaches 350 but not higher. Do you know how to reset the temp to a more reasonable level? If you're in cruise mode you can keep the temp fairly steady at a set temperature so it doesn't get so hot. I usually use water because I cough so easily with most vapes but not using the whip with the tubo. Maybe try 300-350 max.

Are you using a whip or bubbler? Vapor with the short stem is too hot for me on The temps I like. Can hit it at 220 all day thru the whip and go up to 240 on the bubbler. Celsius I'm talking .

Using the whip in the long straight. Thinking about getting th ddave cooler for it. Just had my best session yet :). Huge clouds. Ok so I heat soaked and then started to puff on it then I just hit as hard as I could and didn't realize how much vapor I took in everytime, until I'd blow massive clouds that were quite tasty. Huge bowl but lightly packed . Finally, knew you guys would help me figure it out.
@Abysmal Vapor how do I set my cruise to a different time?

@funkyjunky all this talk about heat soaking material has me confused.

I KNOW and have tested my convection "on demand" vapes MVT, Milaana, Boundless CVF. The material (cannabis) does not get hot unless there is heat going through the cannabis (drawing).

IF ha vape has conduction and convection that is a hybrid heating system.

    Please @funkyjunky clear this up.

    Thanks.
