I received my OHM meter I posted about previously. From what Ive learned while looking for one to purchase, I realized that there is really one "kit" that people are selling under different brands. As to who actually makes the 'Kit" Im nto sure, but probably some chinese ecig factory judging by the packaging. LOL Anyways, I need to pick up an adapter today after work so I can test it out, but so far everything looks good. Product feels suprisingly sturdy. I did find the raw "kit" on one site that was available to assemble yourself, but the price difference was negligible and Id rather not have to bust out the sodlering station if I can just pay a few extra bucks and get one already assembled. Perhaps a couple of insights will help? First off, AW is "Andy Wong", a battery broker. It's not a brand in the usual sense, he doesn't make them but buys them to spec and has QA such that defects are basically zero. There are no 'rebranded AWs' out there.

IMR is a chemistry. Many battery brands use it, some use others (like the more common Li-ion). AW versions, however, are optimized for flat out power output. This is done by very pure components with large mass for their capacity. Notice how the mAh capacity is often less than 'better' brands? In fact, the 1600 mAh version of the AW 18650 will outperform (in terms of heat delivered) their 2000 mAh version for that reason, more 'flat out power' but for a shorter time. The key specification is "internal resistance", a spec generally not published. The lower it is, the more power the battery can deliver 'in a pinch' and the cooler it stays doing so.

Edit: i didn't know the supplied 18350s don't work well with the Herc(Blows out huge Hindu Larry OG moonrock clouds,using the Herc and stock 18350s). I only bought the "other brand" batts because people said to in the thread. I haven't noticed any better or any worse performance using the stock,Efest,AW IMR,batteries I have. I always have backups with me and never have depleted them all while out and about(3 sets of 2 each). Not saying the batts are good/bad here, just that I didn't ever notice any issues with stock ones.

I get mine from roarvapor.com. The owner Mike is super cool, ships fast, and has the best price I've found so far. I have bought 3 AW IMR sets from him with no issues, and he throws in a gift EVERY time!

Like others, I use the stock batts with my hercules with no noticeable issues, just needed backups for my incessant use.

still have a pair of the og 900 mah stock cells then a pair of 800 stock cells and just bought a pair of efest 350s for herc w rod befor thanksgiving and my efests did show a little more usage time but as far as taste heat and clouds all are same for me. waiting for ss kit to make my wizard staff persei with the 2 650s like bob loblaw. thinking that should keep me going till I cant get up from my legs being numb from sitting so long that is lol

I remember reading about the stock 800mah cells from d9 were basically gen efest but I noticed my efest cells are a smidge taller than my 800s so im thinking I read something about compairing them and being identical

I have AW IMR's bought from W9 as well as AW IMR's bought from RTD vapor.

If I were to find the RTD vapor ones are fakes, I would discontinue using them immediately.

however they look exactly like my W9 AW's, except with a little more text (the w9 ones don't say the watt hours)

I have a purple kiss on my GF's teal Persei and Black on my Black persei. But I also have a couple extra...blue, purple, black, matte silver. Once this one goes out I am going with some color.

I also want to thank Naomi for getting my KISS Issues solved. Those 5 ohmers are dangerous even for an experienced user. I highly recommend the 2 ohms. I can hold the button down with no worries.
