Terps Up, Temps Down
I am sorry but we need more man power then we currently have to take care of the exchange program. This will get done as soon as possible. Things happen and they do change, please stay with us as we make things right and get people going. Its hard getting things out the door but once you get the Hercules and fire her up you will know why its worth it.

I understand G, do what you've gotta do. I'm still psyched for it!

I am under the assumption that the 3.7v herc is better for a flowers only patient... is this still the case with the updated sr-71 now being released?

Actually the sr 71 will have two differen rods for 3.7v vaping. One for herbs and small oil vapor the other for more oil vapor. But more testing is needed for the third rod.
Sweet deal, is this all for the SR-71 only? the original 3.7v Hercules wont get this modular type of heating rod?

Unfortunately no, the V1 is not going to get a second chance, that design is done and gone, there is only about 500 of them out there.

Cool, Thanks G, I just wanted to clear that up for myself and maybe others. I am fortunate that I got the 7.4v (early adopter) but now with the swappable rods its freaking genius.
:bigleaf:
How do we get a persei emoticon, like the mfb and I think an ssv, siiiiiiiiick!!!!

Thanks, we learn from our mistakes and would like to make things easier. That is why we abandoned the duel cartridge idea one for each and decided to make one for all. During this process we actually revolutionized the industry again.

Our cartridges work as fractional distillers, and on top of that we actually left behind all ecig technology.

All this is thanks to everyone here who complained. Thank you because we cared of what you guys think, and if we didnt we would be rebranding stuff and adding colorful led lights to stuff and making them some how magical then they actually are, but we decided to keep it real and just do our thing.

OK some porn for you guys

Our engineer worked over time over the weekend in his little cave and came up with these as the answers.

Mouth piece for nibbler xl

The Top cap to seal the air flow.

and the bottom Adjustable Air Flow.

Testing starts this week once we get more materials to test.

Very cool. I'm looking at 3 vent holes that get partially covered with the six slot washer to control air flow? Why six slots, not 3? And why square slots, I'd have considered putting a sloping area in the notches (like a coarse saw blade) to obscure the vents over a wide degree range of rotation so a guy could get fine control?

Or maybe just offset the notches so they block the vents one at a time?

Fun little device, can't wait to try it.....

You know what i havent heard about in a while?

The Iris. Where is that? D9 is just in a golden age right now, powering out some incredible products and really driving themselves forward. SR71, The core, gloc, love/luv?, 1701, nibblerx, alpha?, Leela (mispelt?). So much i forget some and remember an old list of possible production ideas.

I am beyond thrilled for the 1701 release. Puregold meets its Soulmate. The surmounting excitement. Definitely would get the Iris in this endeavor. Get combo. Would love a matching black Iris top. Thatd be beautiful, keep the stealth motif.

personally i'd go with the former over the later for more even draw over my concentrate.
and as to the slope, i'd assume that means more work/cost as it's machined for this device.
the AAF didn't even exist until last week (as in you wouldn't even be expecting it to be part of your device) and you're already tearing it apart, OF.
just saying it wasn't even supposed to be there and it's not good enough? :hmm:
my two cents
(do i need to post the louis c.k. video again ;))

I'm not 'tearing it apart', I've never even seen it. I'm just suggesting if the idea is to be adjustable as it stands that's going to be a working adjustment range of a few degrees. Very hard to adjust a bit one way or the other. Adjustment may not be necessary at all for all I know. I'm just suggesting a couple of what I see as simple and pretty cheap improvements.

IMO it's a fair thing to suggest, no design is taboo, all should be subject to review, comment and improvement. I tend to look at such things and look for easy/obvious ways to make it better. Better is better. Fine if you don't agree, of course.

i'd bet if it meant another delay in production many would disagree. especially over such a small change, and that is what a practical application of your suggestion would most likely necessitate. that's my take, suggestions are always a good idea. personally i'd just expect more than a perfunctory "cool", before suggesting improvements several ways in which it might be better, again all of which would slow down production.

i fully appreciate critique, but i also suggest context.
you supplied one, i, the other (imo). no judgement or hard feelings.

wasn't a design of mine or anything, i just know how bad people are screaming for these things and how little either design changes would actually help from my personal experience.
as to the sloping idea, with further thought it may be detrimental as it would (if i'm not mistaken) make it impossible to close it completely (again, could be wrong) which is a benefit for longer term storage. again, all my two cents.

Sure delay is not a good thing. But it takes no more time to make six uniform slots at 60 degrees from each other than to make 3 with 120 degree spacing for the first slot, 120 degrees plus a hole width for the second, and plus 2 hole diameters for the third. That alone triples the working range. Naught to half blocked becomes 1.5 hole diameters of movement, not .5.

The 'sawtooth' idea is a bit more complex, but offers even more control range (potentially) and also offers the ability to linearize the curve. That is by making the back of the 'tooth' a curve you can fix the problem that the first bit of uncovering of the hole makes little difference in area, then as you get near the center you get huge percentage changes per degree of motion followed by finer control at the near wide open end. The center part of the range (where guys will want to be if the ports are correctly sized?) will be 'very touchy' I think as designed.

Such a 'sawtooth' scheme could easily provide solid shut off by simply making the top of the tooth wide enough to fully block the holes, same as now.

No big deal, and I'm sure not saying 'let's delay it some more to play with such a fine point', but I am saying I think better performance could have been had for the same money and time frame......might still?

I can't speak for Bob of course but that's why I took to wearing a hat when my hair thinned out. Little children would notice the point, giggle a lot and interrupt the adults........ It's easier this way.

Kind of makes you wonder what Brother Bob might be hiding under that blue bandana, doesn't it? I hope he's not sticking his tongue out at us under it, but that is at least possible?

Thanks.
